Johnny Malone I have read Purgatorio and Paradiso and I love them both. And arguably the worst sin can be considered being a traitor. Not "traitor". Its more specific than that. its basically being traitorious against one's benefactor. The idea is that murder (level 7) is only desctruction of the body. However, to take advantage of one's benefactors is complete corruption of the soul as much as the body. anyone can kill, but to completely undermine someone else takes thought, skill, and dedication of one self. Hence Why Ferno is more into corruption than destruction. More useful if successful.

I thought the punishment for lust was " You will be smothered in fire and brimstone instead of love. " or something.
Anyways, the funny part is, there's stuff that basically says you're damned to Hell no matter how you live.
I forgot what it was exactly, but it basically said on how bad you are meaning a deeper level of Hell, but the best case was a purgatory thing, where you just had nothing at all opposed to suffering, but regardless of even if you were a sinless saint, you were screwed anyways.

Life's a b***h. Then you die.
Actually, it's more like this:
Life's a b***h, then you get cancer. Then you're in the hospital and they screw up the info and amputate one of your legs instead of the right patient's. After they find out they apoligize like they think it's no big deal, then they start you and drugs that cause you all kinds of other problems. Then you're crapping your pants every 10 minutes and in a desperate attempt to leave, you hobble over to the window and fall out. You break half the bones in your body and get hit by a speeding car, and then MAYBE you die. "
