When the blood flow stopped, Arya wiped it away from his nose so that he could breathe, before gently releasing it, still supporting him up so that his airways stayed clear.

She gasped, appalled at the sight of it. "Richard?" Arya held him against her chest, cradling his head worriedly.

Tilting his eyes wearily up to hers, he nodded to show he was listening. It made him dizzy.

Arya fell silent; she had no answer to that one. He was concussed, in pain and close to death. He had no idea what he was saying. She stroked the hair back from his forehead, still worried.

"Not necessarily." She said quietly, aware of why they might have wanted to keep her alive. They had gone to the trouble of tying her up instead of just putting a blade between her ribs...
