Tali cheered when he saw the laden table. "Rice! Yay!" Quickly he nabbed the seat opposite Nikiana as soon as his friend sat down.
Between bites of food he grinned at the Niki, "Wasn't today awesome!? I can't wait to actually practice a fight!"

Niki nodded, her mouth full of rice and fruit. Quickly, she chewed it and swallowed, grinning at Tali. "Yeah! It's kinda tiring, but lots of fun! I can't wait!"

Selma nibbled on her food and quietly listened to the others as they talked about the days activites.

"True, but still. It was awesome! We get to kick and punch and fight and no one will yell at us for it. Instead they *want* us to!" Tali paused for a moment. "But I suppose ... It's not going to be play all the time.. Did you see those little kids earlier? I remember when we had half-days. I wonder what we'll do for the rest of the day. More lessons? What do you think Selma?" Taliesin, directed his question towards the quiet girl. She was nice but needed to talk more.

Niki nodded her head as Tali continued to talk. She'd forgotten that they'd still have lessons in the afternoons. Sighing as her hopes of a nap came crashing down, she turned to Selma to see what the girl thought.

Parmida tried out the new "bad" words she learned out in the city under her breath when she heard that they would have lessons in the afternoon. There went her plans of a nap... She finished venting her frustration quickly enough to hear Tali ask Selma a question, and turned towards the girl to see what she thought. She was personally hoping they would have lessons in how to take a nap.

It took Selma a moment to process the question that Tali aimed at her. She had been listening, but hadn't been expecting to be called upon.
"Ummm...." she stared down at her plate a moment, trying to formulate an answer. "I think if we have more lessons they might be in maybe learning about plants or something. I thought I heard one of the older kids talking about it..."

Vincent snorted. Plants? Plants, arithmatic, reading, writing... all of those were what they'd learn, he'd seen the older kids carry around books that said so, they'd be learning more of what they had been learning for a long time. He ate quickly, but neatly, carfully mixing the fruit and rice. "What kind of plants?"

Parmida perked up. Plants? Those were much better than a nap! She tuned herself in even more. Maybe she could "borrow" a plant for Dirt!

"Plants? Plants sound boring." Niki frowned and ate some more fruit. She liked fruit. Much better than nasty veggies. And juice was good, too. She drank happily at it. "I want to learn to fight more."

Parmida made a face at Niki's comment. She didn't like fighting. She'd do it if she had too, but she wasn't about to go out of her way to fight... Plants were much better. Plants and Dirt and dirt and naps... She munched on a piece of fruit as she continued to wait.

The Matron dropped Manelin and Jasmine off at the building. "The other's should have showed up, but maybe their sick. You two wait in this room and I'll see you when class is over!"

Manelin looked up at the Matron. "'Kay." he replied simply. He flopped down to the ground and looked over at the other toddler. "Oo no wat 'ee are 'oing to doo?" ((Translation: "You know what we are going to do?")) He caught sight of a familar red shape and reached up to grab the ladybug. Luckily, it pulled itself up out of his reach before he could grab it and try to taste it.

((*mutters something* Uh... sure...))
The old man had decided to try a different tactic with this group, seeing how his lesson of shapes with the last one was a disaster. Colors. That was what he was going to try. Squares of paper were set out in a semicircle before him.
Seeing his first two students appear, he gestured for them to come on in. He pointed to Manelin. "Boy. You sit on the blue spot." Then he looked at Jasmine. "And you, girl, sit on the red spot."
The Matron flashed him their numbers before she left to find the rest of his students and the teacher turned to watch the toddlers.

Manelin stood as he noticed the old man then blinked at the instructions. He didn't want to sit on the blue spot. He wanted to sit on the red spot! He knew what red looked like, so the other color must be blue. He crossed his arms over his chest and pouted. "I don't like blue! I wanna sit on red!"
