Ivy sat down on a bench and watched people walk by. So many interesting costumes. She smiled just a bit and kicked one of her feet daintily. She sighed happily and looked over the items in her pail. Not much, but that was okay. She was having fun.
==================
A senior stopped by and dropped something in her pail as she sat there. She looked up at them and smiled. They were wearing a mask, which looked rather silly considering their horns, but she supposed that was partially the point?
She peeked in to see what they'd left her and was pleased by the dark chocolate bat. It looked tasty if a little melty.

Pepper was mid-wave when she realized that the imps eyes were a bit different. It startled her but she managed not to blurt out anything rude. It wouldn't be polite to suddenly exclaim that their eyes were weird now would it? Instead she gave him a bright smile and watched with interest as they managed to win a bracelet. "Good job!" she told him with a smile, waiting til he had moved to take her turn.
The demon had never played darts before, but she managed to win herself a prize. The blue sugar skull that the baphomet running the booth gave her was nice, but did she really want to eat it? Giving him a smile and thanking him, she looked over to see the imp from before still there. Maybe he would want to trade? The bapho running the booth wasn't paying attention, so she felt free to ask. "Wanna trade?" Oh, but maybe he really liked the bracelet? Well, it was too late to back out now.

Thoughts on how to give away the nasty gum he'd gotten slipped from Ares' mind as he noticed a dart game. He was pretty good at those, and a quick glance at the prizes assured him that there wasn't any nastee gum at this booth. The imp got in line and waited a bit impatiently for his turn. A couple nightmares later and he had a dart in hand and the center of the target in his focus. A quick throw and he hit the inner ring. Another couple throws and he netted himself a new prize. He picked out one of the little ghost trinkets with a "8P" face. The thing reminded him of his familiar, Chaucer. A smile pulled his mouth up as he thought about the way it would react when he presented him with the thing. Odds are he could hang it over the revenant's bed or somewhere nearby.

The pink haired demon trotted as far away from the guessing game booth as possible with one of his swirly pops stuck in his mouth. That gummy candy was so gross that he couldn't get the taste out of his mouth with water or juice! The only thing that seemed to be helping get rid of it was the cotton candy flavor of this lollipop, which he'd wanted to save for later when he got back to his dorm. Ugh, he was so miffed! Why would they give out candy that they knew tasted so nasty and left bad tastes in your mouth? It was ridiculous! Did adults not have taste buds or something? How could they miss an error as big as this? He huffed and folded his arms. It was almost so frustrating that he wanted to tell one of the caretakers and make them get rid of all the gross candy before anyone else ate it!
Luckily for the caretakers, another plushie booth had caught Laurel's attention, and a new vespercat plushie was whisked away.
"You remind me of my plushie back home, Tangerine!" He chirped, shaking the box of raisins that the plushie was holding. "I know, I'll name you Clementine and you can be their twin sister! That'll be so cool!"

After helping name Dahlia's new pet Flitterat, Remi, Sascha decided it was time to check out the rest of the park. There had been another game he'd seen on the other side of the field where you pulled mystery prizes out of a hole in a box, but he wasn't too sure if he was up for that kind of game. It seemed a little weird to shove your hand into a box without knowing what was inside, because it could literally be anything. Like, spiders, or worms, or some equally disgusting and frightening thing that he absolutely did not want to touch or be remotely near. However, after looking down at his daughter's big, glowing eyes for more than two seconds, he knew that he'd have to give it his best shot. Who knows, maybe he'd pull something really special that he could cherish forever?
"Oh Nine, this thing is horrifying!" He exclaimed, once he'd gotten a good look at the turnip lantern he'd pulled from the box. "You actually think it's proper to make these things and give them to children? This would've given me night terrors at her age, and I'm not quite certain I won't have one tonight regardless of my age! Shame on you!"
He sighed, before offering the people behind the counter an apologetic look. Alright, he was a bit too sensitive there, but this thing was really awful to look at! Plus, it had a lit candle inside of it! Wasn't that a fire hazard if you put it in something made of paper or cardboard, like a box? He shook his head and blew the candle out through on of the turnip's eye holes, and lurched back. How could it be even more creepy without the lit candle inside? It was like looking at a wrinkled old shrunken head!
Dahlia smiled down to Remi as Sascha lead them to the other side of the park. The mutated Flitterat seemed more than content to shuffle around in Dahlia's candy bucket and squeaked up to her as they walked, something that made Dahlia giggle. They were a funny little Flitterat, weren't they? They had four little wings, sweet pink eyes, and a long tail that was as long as their body! She wondered, as they approached the next game, just how Remi had gotten four wings instead of two. Maybe they were a hybrid like she was and that's how they got double wings? She had to admit that it would be cool to have something like that in common with her pet, but then, what were they mixed with? A Nezubat? She gave Remi a quick once over. Mmm, they didn't look anything like a Nezubat... Well, whatever the caught, It didn't matter. She loved them no matter how they got their cute little wings!
The hybrid watched her father complain about the spooky turnip he'd pulled from the box and quietly giggled to herself. Daddy was so funny! It was just a prank, nothing to get so upset about! She stuck her tongue out at him as he blew out the candle and moved to take her turn in the game. Her tiny hand rummaged through the box until she felt something crunchy in the corner and tugged it out. It was a bag of chocolate skulls, yay! She hoisted the candy up to Sascha with a grin.
"Don't worry, I have enough candy for us both to share!" She laughed, shaking the bag. "But, if you really don't like your turnip, can I keep it? I think it's kinda pretty!"

Now safely far away from the eyes of the senior who had spooked her, Sequoia settled herself down for a quick rest by a tree. She'd been walking around for a while now and her paws were getting a bit worn out! It was time that she, and her buddy, dug into the rest of her candy bucket stash! She placed her plushie on her lap and allowed Eli to perch on top of them, just as long as they were gentle, and eagerly dug into her candy bucket. What she really wanted to find was one of the many swirl pops she'd seen while wandering about, but it didn't really matter to her what she pulled, as long as it wasn't something gross.
But, as fate would have it, her hand collided with something that felt sticky and gummy, and when she pulled it out from beneath the other candies, her entire face scrunched up.
"Awww, now my hand's all green and mushy!" She whined, pouting. However, as she went to flail the chunks of green good off of her hand, her nose caught the minty scent of the candy. Of course, she made the awful mistake of tasting a bit, and gagged. "Oh, gross! This tastes like toothpaste! What kind of monster gives wads of green toothpaste out on Halloween?"

Another day, another bat plush. The colors vaguely reminded him of those twins he used to read to once upon a time. Lost, adrift in memory, he didn't even notice the candy left in his pail. Not that it was anything he'd have thought much on anyway.
Chi and Ash? Yue would know for sure. It had been so long since he saw the pair of them, they'd probably grown quite a bit. Meliza
Eli was loving these sugar skull things. So much sugar, packed into a neat shaped package. Some of them even seemed to be flavored lightly, rather than just tasting like pure energy. They would be seriously cute in miniature, maybe on top of cupcakes or something. Oooooh that was an idea. Tapping their bottom lip thoughtfully, Eli made a mental note to see if such a thing even existed.
Tayce
Wrinkling her nose at the awful gum, she dropped it into the first garbage can she found, her tongue sticking out disapprovingly. Hm, what was that? She thought she saw a bit of fuzzy color in there. But... ew garbage can.
Screwing up her face in disgust, she peered in to see one of those little, round nezubat plushies. Who would throw one away?! Debating with herself for a good while before taking the chance and reaching in to snag it, she carried it far away from her body and made for the nearest bathroom to wash the thing off.
Kazim
What the hell even was this thing? Kaz wasn't sure, but it amusing in all the best ways. What was it even supposed to be? A somewhat queasy cloud? Noxious fart puff? Why was this even under his desk? Did someone leave it behind? His now, sucker. This was just too hilarious. Ixchel
She toyed with the skull curiously, examining it with a faintly morbid curiosity. One of their assignments, meant to be more light-hearted and festive, was to base an outfit off of a piece of candy. Something about the cheery morbidness of these called to her, and as she rotated it in her fingertips she tried to picture how to incorporate both the cheery view of death with the season and overall feeling. Something fun, she was thinking. Free moving, with beads or something that would rattle, to echo bones shifting.
Making notes, she put the sugary treat down and started simple doodles next to her notes.

Odessa admired the cute sugar skull that she had gotten from the last stall. It was so adorable that she wasn't sure she could eat it! Maybe she'd preserve it someone and put it in her room. She giggled at the thought, knowing that most people would find her weird for that.
Zooming around, Kiessi's eyes settled on a strange little ball of orange fur in one of the fair games. They lifted a finger to point at it and then to the attendant, moving around in their pocket until they produced the right amount of money. It took a little while, but Kiessi was pleasantly surprised when the ball actually fell into the basket, winning it. "Thanks!" They grinned, holding tightly to the plushie, much too distracted to notice that a strange faced turnip had made it's way into they're pail.. which was definitely a huge fright for them when they noticed later that night.
Ella was getting really tired of people chucking things at her by now. Especially things she already had, so she couldn't even be excited about people being rude and tossing items at her!
"Thank you." She grumbled quietly as she pocketed her new bracelet.

WHOOP rolled her before Tarin and Quilo responded, ugh. I'm stupid.
Nex watched as Pherein approached, head tilting to the side as she grabbed the offending Pumpka. His eyes drifted to his own hands, tail flicking. She was assertive. He needed to be, too. He could have done that, but instead allowed his friends to be attacked by a Pumpka. He was a disgrace. He would need to apologize after!

"Pherein, watch o-" Willow's mouth snapped shut as, if suddenly tamed, the Pumpka stopped its screaming. He slowly rose, blinking at the scene before, as his cheeks started to turn red, he turned away. That was all that needed to be done? He was such an idiot. Who was he to say he could raise familiars when he couldn't even handle one Pumpka?
nepsah

He supposed she was right! Grinning as his new familiar nuzzled into him, Eques kept a firm grip on Aella's hand, escorting her to the haunted house. When they reached it he released her hand, gently nodding towards the building.
"Ready?" He questioned, briefly thanking someone as they dropped another candy bar into his pail.
Lady Argentum Draconis
Her eyes had to fight not to roll as she placed the turnip back into her pail. Maybe she could do something with it. Maybe Maple would like it, who knows?
"You know, I've been doing most of the talking." She commented, nodding towards her partner. "What of you? How are you on this evening? Anyone coming to visit?"
nepsah
Kappa watched the Vespercat, eventually leaning down and picking up the cat, holding it against his chest. Smiling ever so faintly, he nuzzled the creature, laughing as it mewled back. Okay. Maybe this wasn't the worst.
"Can I take it home, then?" He questioned, glancing over at Morin.
Nasaiki
Tobias accepted a candy as someone tossed it into his pail, offering a brief tail wag before glancing down at his new Pumpka. He finally wiggled free from the hug, rubbing where her new Nezubat had patted him before bending over to pick up his new Pumpka, gesturing it towards Yue.
"Look. I have a new friend, too!"
Nasaiki
Her eyes drifted to the child's back, a brief smile appearing before she hid it behind her hand.
"Ah, yes. I'm okay. Are those your new friends? I've been seeing a bunch of Pumpka's wandering around tonight. What a lucky night it must be for you!" She was envious! A Pumpka wasn't a ghost, but it was spooky enough! That, and she had always wanted a floating pumpkin as a pet.
nepsah
Maple, while she waited for the boy to respond, was distracted as another demon approached, nose wiggling. Oh! Did they have a friend? Oh no, was she intruding? Oh gosh, she knew it! She was just causing trouble. Oh, her mother would be so disappointed.

Feeling like she'd sat enough, Ivy slid off the bench and wandered back into the crowd. She stopped at another stall. She held up her bag and smiled.
"Tricks or Treats~" she said brightly.
==============
Ivy looked down as a bracelet dropped into her bucket. She didn't much care for the black, but it was green, and that was an appropriate color for her. "Thank you." she tucked her pail back into the crux of her arm and then made her way down to another stall in search of party favors.
And then out of nowhere came Pherein to the rescue! Korv gasped, releasing Willow to clap his hands together. "Phe you are sooooo cool!!" He bounced a little, tail wagging as he approached his friend and the now-tamed pumpka. "I didn't even see you!"
Then again Korv was a one-track mind sort of person, he didn't even notice a plush falling into his pail!

Kirket blinked, tilting his head. Oh dear, the questions had been turned around. Well, he could find a way out of this eventually... No harm in answering a few? "Oh, I'm doing well!" He nodded, grinning widely. He thanked a little freshling who stuffed a plush into his bucket as they walked by, then looked back to Ava. "Hm? Coming to visit me? Oh, no, I'm afraid not." He shook his head. "I'm a one-man group tonight, unless you count yourself!"
Oh, an abandoned plush! Corben picked up, then looked around... No one near by... hm. He put it into his pail and decided he'd ask around a bit to see if anyone had lost it, otherwise he supposed he could just give it to Leif. It was green! He'd like that.
Prometheus was a little take to the party, but he didn't particularly mind. He didn't have anyone waiting for him after all. He was dressed as.. himself, really. He was scary looking enough with the natural skull marking he had. The first game he played won him a lollipop, which he appreciated. It even had a nice color to it.
He turned away from the booth to find something else to do... So many people to dodge through!
Ooh! A bump from a stumbling Freshling knocked him off balance before he could answer the little demon girl. He righted himself, then checked to see if the other kid was okay. "I'm s-sorry, I didn't see you..." He reached out to pap her gently, and then looked back to the demon. "O-oh, um... If you want to... I don't m-mind trading?" He did like the bracelet... but sharing was a good thing... right?
Corben would probably encourage him to trade, anyway.

Yushi's Maple bumped into him in a back post whoops. We're generally posting one day, editing in responses the next so things get a little weird.

Andy nodded, glancing back at the two pumpka's that seemed to be attached to him now... He wasn't even sure how to take care of one? "Yeah... there are a lot of them." He nodded. I got this one because I accidentally kicked it... Now it just won't leave me alone!"
Despite getting his brand new plushie and being excited to bring them home to their new "brother", Tangerine, Laurel was still quite miffed over getting that really gross candy and having to sacrifice one of his swirl pops to save his tongue from continued misery. The demon's pout seemed unyielding as he rounded the corner and headed down a path he hadn't been on. It didn't seem fair to have candy that terrible at an event that was supposed to be for fun and enjoyment. Who thought it was a good idea in the first place? He wanted to talk to them! He huffed, folded his arms, and slumped against a booth.
"Oi, what's up little fella?" Asked a man from behind the booth.
"I got a bad candy that tasted like cherry medicine." Laurel whined, giving the man a glance. "It was shaped like a poo, too! Who said they could make candy like that?"
"Aw, you just got tricked! That's a part of all Halloween fun, unfortunately." The man laughed, shaking his head. "Though, you know what? I don't like those candies either. Take this, sweetheart, and try not to let that one candy ruin your night!"
The man held an orange swirl pop out to Laurel and grinned, to which Laurel took with a bounce. He must've said thank you at least twenty times before other children came up to play at his booth and he had to continue on. Now, hopefully he didn't run into another gross poo candy for the rest of the night!

Sascha, now thoroughly embarrassed with himself over making a scene about the turnip he'd pulled from the mystery box, couldn't help but feel as though everyone at the park was staring at him because of it. His cheeks had taken on a visible pinkness, which had been a vibrant cherry red no less than five minutes before, and felt as though he'd been jogging. Why couldn't he have controlled himself? He probably sounded like a big jerk when he yelled at the people behind the booth! What kind of father gets all upset over something so small when their little girl was right next to them? She probably thought he was such a jerk now, didn't she? He looked down to Dahlia, who was contentedly chewing on a chocolate skull from her prize bag, and mustered a smile.
"Sooo, where do you want to go now, Dahl?" He asked, tilting his head a tad. "See anything you want to do?"
Dahlia, her free hand now covered in melted chocolate, looked up to her father between bites of sweet, chocolaty goodness and studied his face. Why was his face all red? Was he getting tired? She looked down to his feet and up to his face again before noticing Remi's face sticking out from one of the eyes in her candy bucket. Silly rat, didn't they know that they could fall out? She let go of her father's hand and gently nudged the Flitterat back into the abyss that was the candy bucket, and turned to look up at Sascha. Hm, she was getting to decide their next stop? Cool!
She turned her attention toward the booths in the distance and tapped her chin, which left smears of chocolate along the edge of her face. Where to go, where to go? There was so much left to look at! How was she supposed to decide? Her brows flexed and softened, before she pointed to a nearby tree.
"There are some hanging ghosties over there!" She exclaimed, tugging Sascha toward the tree. "And look! It says we can take one!"
She did a little wiggle, pleased that she accomplished such a grownup thing as making a decision by herself, and plucked two ghosts off the lower branches on the tree, one of which she handed to Sascha.
"This grumpy one's for you, and the kissy one's for me!" She cheered, puckering her lips in an attempt to mimic the face on the ghost.

The little Grimm trudged ever forward after the green gummy poo incident in hopes of finding something sweet that would get rid of the minty fresh flavor in her mouth. Halloween was supposed to be about loading up on sweets and eating them until your stomach burst at the seams, not eating swirls of toothpaste disguised as gummy candy! It was enough to keep Sequoia's ears firmly pinned back and her fists clenched at her sides!
"Ugh, I wonder if anyone else has had to deal with those gross candies, too." She mumbled, giving Eli a scratch under the ear. "It'd be nice to have some company in this misery..."
She huffed and continued along, until a booth caught her attention. Were those... Nezubat plushies? Her ears popped up at full attention as she leaned forward, before making a leap for one of the plushies in the pile. Yes! A new plushie! This made up for that gross candy! She happily snuggled the plushie and placed it with the one she'd found before. However, as she turned the new plushie around, a box of raisins slipped off the tape that had been on it's back and hit the ground with a plop. Sighing, Sequoia picked it and slipped the top open.
"Well, it isn't candy, but it's sweet enough." She said, popping a handful of raisins into her mouth. "Maybe they'll have candy at the next booth."

Due to an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction with their costume, Emma had arrived late to the party. They'd managed to fix the problem with a few bits of duct tape, though, so they supposed they still looked cute enough. It was a "donated" costume anyway, one they'd been given by their roommate, Laurel. It was a green and purple vespercat inspired costume with bells attached to it at the tail, neck, and ears, that rang with each movement that they made. To be completely honest, the bells seemed to be a bit too much of an addition, but if it helped them find Laurel in this huge crowd, maybe they were a little useful?
"Oh, thank you!" They chirped as a caretaker handed them a yellow candy basket. Free candy? How could you make a sour face at that? They dug in curiously, only to pull out a package of crumbling gum, and found themselves without words. Well... Hopefully Laurel was fairing better with his candy haul than they were.
