Acel had thoroughly enjoyed his conversations with Ilya as they walked around--being around the boy made him feel like the world was a little bit more whole. It felt like there was hope. He wished that Lidia could have grown up to be like him--to walk these halls and chatter like he did. It was sad, sure, that she had passed, but then again, she would never know the suffering that Ilya would have to endure. The boy would suffer--and that was something that Acel could not prevent--but he certainly could try to mitigate the experience as much as he could. Acel had never been to the Atacama Ruins before--though he had heard that the Atacama Desert was one of the most inhospitable places on earth, so he couldn't really imagine it was going to be a lovely, comfortable day ahead of him. However, he really couldn't complain about it--he was doing this to not only improve his current standing, but to also make sure that Ilya got a taste of the world around him before ever trying to venture off alone. He could only hope that they managed to gain a boost of strength like the ones he had been getting from his combat experiences. It were as if the A.I. aspects of their own bodies were learning from every fight--their minds and bodies growing all on their own in response to the violent stimulus. He hoped it was not only his own body that did this, due to the A.I. components that he had that most people...well, anyone, really, had. He wondered about Dal'Mori then...he wondered if the man was well--he hadn't seen him since the tournament. He hadn't seen Sarah or Akio since Chicago. He wondered if they were well, too. He wanted to see them, suddenly, and with great urgency, but he knew that he could not. Not yet. He had taken on a responsibility and he was not about to ignore that.

When he turned to Ilya, asking the boy if he was prepared to leave, a young girl came sprinting down the hallway, a bright smile on her face as she called him a Tiny Man, and seemed thoroughly excited that he had made it through the entrance exam. She had been confident in him, though, which means that she had known him, and knew he was a strong kid. He wondered where they had met--where Ilya had come from, though these questions, he felt had been too personal to dive into quite yet. In time...in time. She immediately asked him if he wanted to go on a mission with her, completely and totally oblivious to Acel's presence at all. "Well, actually, Ilya's mother has given me the go-ahead to escort him on his first mission, just to make sure he gets home safely. We've already set it up, and we were about to make our last preparations before leaving. You're more than welcome to come along, if you like. It seems you and Ilya are both new baiters--and young...I am surprised to see that kids your age are starting to get into this industry." He stated, looking the two them over, his heart pounding. All he wanted to do was reach out and smack them for being where they were, and at the same time, pull them into an embrace and keep them safe, there. But he could not shelter them, they had made their choices in this life, all he could do was aid them so that they did not perish along the way. He looked from person to person, child to child, and he nodded with a warm smile. He introduced himself to Thre, asking her what her name was as well, and beckoning her to follow him and Ilya as they made their way toward the portal room, where they would make their trip through to the Atacama ruins, where they would hunt down the crystals he needed to power the Core in his chest. It was just another C rank mission. The last one he had faced all alone and still managed to win--this time was going to be even tougher, he was sure, as he was going to be focused on protecting two young baiters now, but he didn't care about that. He just wanted to make sure these guys got strong enough to do this on their own, and not come back like that boy he had carried through earlier that day.

Ilya was in very high spirits. He had passed his test with flying colors, he went out to lunch with his mom and this cool new person, he saw Thre again after what felt like ages, and… Now he was going on a mission?! He was so excited. Then, just like before, a body smacked into him full force, picking him up into a massive hug. Almost immediately, Ilya recognised the person hugging him was Thre, once more running into him at a perfect moment. Maybe they could go on the mission together? The more help, the easier it would be, right? As soon as Thre mentioned their mission, Ilya gave these big puppy-dog eyes to Acel, asking if she could go with them. Of course, Acel did end up allowing it, and Ilya let out an excited squeal, hugging Thre tighter. Of course, she was much stronger than Ilya ever could be, but he did try to hug her hard, none the less. He loved her, almost as if she were his own sister. He knew that was basically impossible, but they were close enough, and Katya loved her enough that it was pretty much already said and done.

But then Ilya jumped back, releasing himself from Thre’s grip.
”Oh! Mom’s here too! She’s getting us housing! I think she wants us to live together!” Ilya had a big grin on his face, grabbing at her hands and hopping up and down with her. ”She said she was gonna get a big place! I hope it means that all of us get to stay there!” If that really was what his mom meant by getting a three bedroom, he couldn’t be more excited. But, then, he realised his poor manners. Stopping his excited hopping, Ilya turned to Acel. ”Oh! This is Thre! She’s my best friend, I met her at Momushka’s work. She’s super cool.” Ilya grinned at his introduction, then pulled her along to the portal room.

On the way, he explained what it was that they were doing. Acel explained the mission they were going to go on, and Ilya couldn’t help but interject a few times, adding in his input on the situation. It was going to be a very interesting trip, that was for sure. And, as they made their way to the portal room, he couldn’t help but feel totally excited. When they got to the portals, Ilya beamed, hardly able to wait for the go ahead to shoot onward to their mission. He stood, though only for a few moments, shivering with anticipation. Then, when he finally got the okay, he dashed forward, right onto the portal that would teleport him to the Atacama. And, in barely a few seconds, Ilya was torn apart molecule by molecule, and was gone.

She had managed to successfully blast through another one of the Uni-Blaster's attacks, and then when she rocketed in toward it, the Uni-Blaster managed to dodge out of the way of the first attack, but she only turned it up a notch after that, making sure that every strike that she sent out was precise. She landed blow after blow on the thing, being absolutely sure to completely destroy it. It was the last time that she would ever hit the Uni-Blaster--and it could feel her apologies as she struck again and again, until she had battered it down into pieces. She had disabled its way to move in the last turn--being sure to crush function in its wheel, and it had paid off. It would have been able to much easier combat against her attacks if it could have moved. As her elbow split its head open, the thing's music faded, sputtering out into nothing, dragging the vocals into a demonic slow-motion sounding fear fest. But, as its music died along with it, the A.I. broke down into code and trailed through the air into her gauntlet. Immediately the metal substance of her gauntlet began to change, growing grey, like steel. Which, at first, she thought looked pretty rad, but then it began to rust and wear down in certain areas, and her eyes widened as she looked at it. Did this b*****d just compromise the structural integrity of her greatest weapon achievement yet? But as she looked it over, and she heard the Uni-Blaster in her head, she figured out that it was almost entirely aesthetic. She gave a couple of punch tests, slamming her first into a wall and feeling just how durable it was. "I might not be the prettiest, but my armor is stronger than you'd think." She nodded mentally and closed her eyes, issuing thanks as she faded back into reality.

When she woke up on the doctor's table, she gasped awake, scrambling for breath. The doctors stood back from the table, worried that the A.I. had won the battle and one of them actually rushed forward with the lethal injection, and she raised a hand toward him. "Hold your horses, man." The scientist stopped in his tracks and stammered out a broken apology, not having realized that she was normal. It had been a close call. If she hadn't been able to actually see and realize that she was conscious in time, he might have actually stuck her with that and killed her--even though she had passed her exam. That would be one hell of a bummer. They then explained she needed to make her way to H.Q. and get her B.A.I.T.R Card. This would authorize her as a baiter, and also equip her with the ability to fund herself for her future. She took a deep breath and swung her legs off of the table, hopping down and stretching her body out in front of the doctors--some of which who looked, some of which did not. She nodded to herself as she stood there, knowing that she had some work to do to get used to the new body, but that would come in time. Then, all of a sudden, the gauntlet began to issue some eight-bit victory music from the gauntlet that lasted momentarily, the lights flashing different colors as it did. She laughed as she looked down at it. Moral support. Check.

She waved off the doctors as she headed out of the room. She had no intention of leaving this place. She had nothing to return to. She would face her parents when that time came. It could go two ways, really. They could be proud of her...or they could be absolutely disgusted with the woman she had become...it would be interesting to be sure. She headed to the front desk and asked for directions to the portal room--slowly making her way there as she looked around the halls and corridors of the facility. She was okay with this. The choices she had made. She wondered if there were any others like her. If anyone else was recently out of their exams...was it a regular thing for people to take the H.A.L.F or did it only happen once in a while? She would have to find out. She knew nothing about what life was as a baiter--she knew nothing at all...but thankfully she was one hell of a quick learner. She followed the directions she had been given and she left through the portal room, sending her spinning across the world in a billion different pieces. When she re-appeared in the B.A.l.T.R headquarters, she stumbled forward, her head reeling from the transition and she felt her stomach clench as she was about to throw up. She clapped a hand over her mouth to stop it from spewing out and she forced the feeling away, swallowing the little vomit that had escaped into her mouth. She heaved a sigh as she stumbled forward, worried about how weak she must have seemed--but one of the employees stated that he had seen much worse, and she did well. It gave her a brief bit of comfort. She made her way through the corridors once again, knowing that she would have to meet with Quan Yuen in order to get him to make the card she would use--he was, as they had told him, in the Offices. She, with a little help from a shy woman she found in the halls, was able to make her way there, and when she spoke with the secretary, she immediately allowed her to go and meet with Quan.

The man was odd--asking her for a strand of her hair and stuff...but she understood why when he explained everything. She snapped off a piece with a healthy root and the man placed it onto the card and he clapped his hands over both objects, a light emitting from his hands as he altered the code of the card and her DNA. At this point, he re-opened his hands and there it was. The card itself was carbon fiber--and in the center of the card was a boom box, two wrenches behind the boom box formed a skull and crossbones and she looked it over with a grin. "That's badass as ********. I don't care what anyone says." She said with a grin, and Quan laughed about it. He sent her on her way shortly after, and Mirai ended up walking back into the office's lobby, wondering if she should just take a mission, or if she should try to look around some more before she did.

A beauty outside,
a beast inside

Alley watched with deep satisfaction as the Blaster's head was cut off, though it was disappointing that it was still talking. She watched the AI dissolve into what looked like code. She kept an eye on it to make sure it wasn't some kind of new attack it had that it had yet to show her. But it came close and disappeared into her body. That was a weird feeling, she felt her own blood change, making her roll her shoulders and flex her fingers. If she didn't know any better, she felt like her body got tougher. It was really weird. She glared at the air when the Blaster talked about her body. “More like torture it seems.” She muttered, closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose.

Alley opened her eyes, seeing that she was back in the lab. She glanced around, seeing the scientist. He gave her a smile. “Congradulations... erm... Alley.... you have passed the H.A.L.F. You may use the portals and get your Baiter card and begin your life as a baiter.”

Oh yeaaa, me and babe, starting our lives together!” A voice called out inside her head.

Alley's face turned to horror when she realized that it had been the Blaster. “Oh by the Sun, you can still talk? You've got to be joking with me.” She groaned into her hands. “Is there any way I can trade for a different AI?” She asked him.

The scientist looked at her in surprise. No one has ever asked that. He could only shake his head, jumping back when Alley's animal snarl came out as she jumped out and stomped out. Great she was stuck with this jabber mouth. Just great. She stomped toward the portals room, having followed the signs. The scientists that were there greeted her at first, but soon quieted down when they saw how angry she was. “To... headquarters ma'am.”

Yea... let's get this done and finished.” She said, following their gestures onto the portal.

What came next Alley wasn't expecting. She got a weird sensation, then her stomach began to clench and twist. She watched eveything disappear for a second then a new room appeared before her. She clutched her stomach, leaning over with a whimper as suddenly a trashcan was under her. Thankful she wasn't the first, she let out whatever food she had in her stomach. Her wolf side helped her with tracking and the hunting. Though she won't tell people how and what happened after she got the animal.

You alright babe? Never teleported before? Holy hell you really are a wolf aren't ya?”

Oh shut up.....” Alley said, groaning as she slowly felt the sickness go away.

She slowly stood up, looking up. She nodded when they asked if she was alright. They told her to go to Quan Yuen's office, telling her where to go and get her badge. She thanked them, apologizing for losing her lunch. She followed the directions, her nose going crazy at the new scents. There were a lot of people, here. A lot more than what were at the lab. She almost sat down so she could get all the scents and get use to them. But she needed to get some kind of badge. She made her way slowly to the office, seeing a woman walk out of there with black hair and brown streak in it. Or maybe it was one of the colors she couldn't see. It was possible. Alley knocked at the door before opening it. The man greeted her, asking if she was a new recruit. She nodded, the man lept up, handing her some kind of thick plastic. He explained that she needed to put a little DNA in the card and as she went up in rank, it would change. She was impressed, pulling on of her bangs out, since she figured the rest of her hair would a little too long. She put the hair in the card, thanking the man and walked out. Putting the card in the back pocket of her shorts, giving a nod at the woman.

She couldn't help but notice that the woman was much more kept than herself. Not that it was her fault, Alley did go hunting and running through miles of forest for a few days. Which reminded Alley she needed to get cleaned up, her feet were a bad color of brown and her hair was basically a tangled mess at the moment. She looked at the woman. “Know where I can get cleaned up.” She asked her, figuring she didn't have anything to lose by asking.

Seraphina 'Pyra' Rothford

Teleport: Success!

The pressure was weird as Seraphina was thrown into inky blackness, she remembered how teleportation worked it broke down the thing, or in her case person, into millions upon millions of molecules and transmitted those atomized particles very near instantaneously over endless distances to any teleporter you wanted. The pressure subsided as her bits came together to form a cohesive body and she felt dizzy and that nausea the tech had mentioned. 'Whoa boy!' She then felt the like her stomach was practicing summersaults and fell to her knees dry heaving. "Oh! We got another one!" "Third one today." A woman in a labcoat muttered as she brought over a garbage can, Pyra held onto the rim thankful that she hadn't eaten before trying out for the H.A.L.F. test, but the pain of bringing up nothing burned her throat dry. "Sorry, first time teleporting."
"Don't worry about it happens to every one. Plus, you weren't as bad as the last one." The woman smiled and offered a hand up, Pyra gave a weak smile back, taking the offer and getting up slowly as her knees threatened to give out on her again. "Thanks. Where's Quan Yuen's office? I need to get my badge." "He's over in the office area, uhh. Let me write you some directions so you don't get lost." "Oo, thank you!" Seraphina waited and took the note thanked the tech again and waved as she left following the directions into the office area.

Pyra noticed two women talking, one with dark hair the other light, nearby her destination she smiled and waved as she past them, and entered Quan Yuen's office. "Oh my another newbie!" He exclaimed at her entrance. "Oh do you mean those two girls outside?" "Yes they were just here. All I need is some of your DNA, a piece of hair will suffice." Nodding and plucking an orange hair from her head root and all, she then combined it with the blank card Quan held out for her, the card turned black and she suddenly thought she'd done something wrong. Then flames crept up from the bottom of the card her eyes went as wide as baseballs and glittered in the artificial lighting. "Wow, that's soo cool!" She exclaimed excitedly but her badge didn't stop there, in the middle of the card a phoenix burst forth in a ball of fire that brightened the light level in the room momentarily. 'I hate fiaa.' Goliath's voice chimed in gruffly, ignoring the A.I. she absolutely loved this badge. "And this will change when I advance my B.A.I.T.R. standing right?" He smiled and nodded an affirmative. "Cool! Thank you so much I'll be seeing you! Toodles!" And with that she bounded out of his office and went after those two women she saw before. She could use a couple girl friends around here, and they were all new so they could train together! Go out on missions and go shopping! She was getting excited, they had a better chance of surviving their first mission if they went at it together, she just had to not stink at talking to them. 'Oh, boy.' All her excited energy took a dive into the pit off her stomach and she was floored with nervousness.

Stopping midstride Pyras mouth went dry, it felt like ice crawling through her veins, why did she get so nervous like this? She bit her lip, gnawing at it with her elongated canines. 'Stop that! You'll start bleeding if you keep it up!' Acheron's past voice startled her enough to stop, he'd be upset at her for letting this fear control her, he'd taught her better than that. His sturn lectures were bittersweet memories for her, that was the last summer he had been with her. A Militia member he was always about helping those who couldn't help themselfs. One day to spite her parents, she had attended one of his lessons on self-defense /getting away from A.I.s. after the class she went up to him and sputtered at him trying to ask him to teach her about handling firearms. After a bit of a fiasco she set up a few lessons with the tall buff blonde, things had gone swimmingly and then he asked her out. She ruined his shirt by splattering it with hot coffee. After that they became a couple and he had taught her some confidence with several dozen lessons, and it worked until he decided to go and become a B.A.I.T.R. he had not survived the H.A.L.F. test, she mourned the loss of her friend, even more so when she found out he was planning on asking her to marry him. Her heart still aches for the future she lost, with him. Someone brushed by her and she was jolted out of her memories, she would do her best to make him proud.

Swallowing hard she plucked up her courage and approached the two new B.A.I.T.R.s. "Umm, hi, I heard you two were new recruits too. And was wondering if you wanted to team up, together..."

Mirai bounced the ideas around in her head. Take a mission? Look around the city? She was new to everything about this place...she just knew that she needed to get stronger. She had heard rumors about how strong the baiters were--that some were capable of lifting cars with a single hand. That they were unstoppable forces. Well...she was a baiter now, and she damn well couldn't lift a ******** car...but if it meant that if she got strong enough, she could. Oh hot damn, she was going to be a monster. And she was going to go back to Shanghai...and she was going to punish the people that spilled blood in an already damaged world. Mirai would become law. She would become justice. Her fist tightened into a fist, and she knew she had to go out. She had to get a mission and see what this world was truly like. As she was about to approach Gigi, the secretary, a ragged woman walked into the offices, seeming half dead and reeking like s**t, Mirai quirked a brow as she approached. Was she a baiter? Really? Well, if anything, she knew not to judge a book by its cover. She obviously wasn't some pampered child from a privileged home...not like her. So, what could she say? The only thing she had ever been starved of was affection. She could laugh at herself about it, but it was only to cover up the pins in her heart that drove like nails every time she thought about it. But then, when the pins hurt more than she could bear, Kimi would flash before her. 'Don't give up. Don't you dare. You're stronger than that. At least, the Mirai I knew was.' And always that smile. That sweet, innocent smile at the end of those words. When the woman asked for Quan Yuen, she knew that she was, indeed, a baiter, like her. Not long after she went off to meet the man who would give her her card, another woman entered too. Now this one looked like she could hold her own. She seemed strong, and equipped, to boot. As the first woman left the office, she entered, and waved toward them. Mirai quirked a brow, but she smirked as she looked at the woman, waving back toward her, a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth. Something about her strawberry blonde hair, and her doe eyes. Interesting woman. Mirai broke from her stare toward her and turned back to the first woman she had seen.

When she asked her if Mirai knew where she could get cleaned up, Mirai nodded, with a small smile. "Well, a bathroom is a good place to start. What the hell happened to you?" She asked, quirking a brow at the woman. She didn't seem to know what the hell was going on. She was a baiter, but she didn't know where to get cleaned up, and looked like showers weren't exactly a regular part of her days. The woman looked positively awful. But, even as she tried to ask, she felt eyes on them, and she looked over her shoulder to see an old man, sitting at one of the chairs in the office, idly passing through a newspaper and glancing over at them periodically. She quirked a brow--not much liking people staring at her like that and she issued a 'pfft' noise as she turned back to Alley, waiting to hear what he girl had to say about what happened to her. At this time, as well, the woman before came sauntering back into the room. As she approached, she spoke hesitantly, like she was nervous, and Mirai grinned as she looked at her. She was cute, though she was quite young. "Yes. Absolutely. It seems like the smartest course of action at this point. What do you think?" She asked, looking to Alley. "Also, we could get our places before we go. That's the best place to get cleaned up." She said, winking at Alley, in a friendly manner. She hoped it wouldn't take too long, but she knew the woman needed to go take a shower and get some clothes. If they went into town real quick, grabbed some apartments, and got ready, they would be more prepared for what was coming. And if there were three of them, s**t, maybe they could come back in one piece, too. "Also, I don't know your names yet, s**t. We can't work together like that. I'm Mirai." She said, looking at the two girls with a grin. She was not giving in to her old self. Not again. Never again.

A beauty outside,
a beast inside

Alley didn't look all that amused when the woman made the smart remark that a shower would be the best place to start. Well no joking, she just wanted to know where one was. She raised an eyebrow, looking down at herself again. Surely she didn't look all that bad. Then again she was away from a shower or bath for maybe weeks. She didn't trust anyone until the test was done, who knew who the scientists had under their thumb to drag her back to that lab. Now it was too late for them to do anything. “Well that's what happens when you run from ….” Alley coughed a bit, feeling her throat tighten and close. She looked panicked as she looked around, finally spotting him. No.... how was that possible? He was the owner of the lab right? How could he be here? She watched him, the look in his eye told her everything. He was causing her throat to close up. He was much stronger than she could ever imagine. He seemed to smirk at her before looking away from her. Her throat began to loosen, letting her breath easy again.

She glanced at the woman, unsure how to explain what happened to her. Obviously he didn't want her to say anything. She could only shake her head as she tried to figure out what to say. “Umm.... I was running through a lot of forest, that's all.” Alley said, glancing at the old man again. Her gaze was drawn away when another female voice, asking for them to team up. She raised her eyebrow at the girl her hair the same color as the other one's bangs. This damn colorblindness, she couldn't tell if it was different colors or if the same. She had to agree it was a good idea. But first she wanted to clean up. While her other part didn't seem to care, the human part did. She was use to a daily shower. Alley could only nod in agreement when the black haired woman asked for her opinion. She was a little distracted by things at the moment. She couldn't help but tilt her head when the woman said something about apartments. What were those? A fancy word for holding cells? Well it was better than sleeping on the concrete like she figured she would be. “Sounds good to me, I just want a shower and see how bad my feet are. I know I cut them.” She said, looking down at them. The dirt was bad where she couldn't tell where any cuts are, if there were any. She titled her head when the black haired one said 's**t'. That was a new word she had never heard before, just like that a** word she heard in the city. The woman said her name was Mirai. Good, Alley didn't have to tell her so called 'full' name. “Alley.” She said, looking at the younger woman as she waited for her to say her name.

Seraphina 'Pyra' Rothford

Conversation: Started!

Pushing down the nervousness that kept crawling back up like some accurseded undead from the movies, Seraphina continued walking forward, stopping by the other new B.A.I.T.R.s to form a triangle. Eyes ficking between the two older women, her gaze lingered on the dark haired one, as she gave her an appraising once over that made Pyras face brighten a few shades, fearing her voice breaking she just nodded in agreement. Yes, a new place to stay was definitely going to be nice, it hasn't been a full day since she had arrived in Paris and took the H.A.L.F. test and changed her life forever, and a hot shower sounded like heaven right about now. And looking at the light pure white hair all tangled and the few leaves and twigs still clinging in it, said that she wasn't the only one who thought that. 'Why were you running through the woods?' She thought but her throat was constricted enough to cause her to be speechless. The white haired B.A.I.T.R. glanced away and following her line of site to an old man reading a news paper, curious that this place had enough normalcy to have a printed newspaper. She kept looking at the man wondering what he was capable of, just sitting there he had an appearance that said he was confident and always got what he wanted.

Looking back at the sound of the white haired B.A.I.T.R. mentioning having cut her feet, she glanced down and saw dried mud covering said feet. 'What, had she been through, to cause her to do that to herself?' Another errant thought she dared not speak. Pyra forced a smile as the dark haired woman then the other introduced themselves. Mirai and Alley, they turned to Pyra expectantly waiting for her to follow suit, swallowing hard to combat the dryness in her mouth, to no avail, Pyra attempted to introduce herself. "P-pyra... Well, errm. It's Seraphina, but my friends gave me the nickmane Pyra because I liked to use molotov cocktails to kick some A.I. arse! Then it became a personal flair to use fire based weapons, I've got a cool idea for some fireball shooting gloves but I haven't been able to work out a design that's stable. Nice gauntlets by the way. At first I didn't like the nickname but then it grew on me and I've actually begun to like it, so much so that I changed it to be my actual middle name." She blinked as she noticed how muched she had just rambled, looking down to study her feet shyly. "But yeah I wanted to grab some gear in the city and getting a place to stay squared away would be a good idea." Pausing as her stomach grumbled loudly she adds. "And probably something to eat too." She smiles with a light giggle, looking back to Mirai and Alley, as she secretly crosses her fingers hoping that she didn't blow it, heart racing a mile a minute, at her first interaction with her new peers.

Mirai could see the distaste in Alley's facial expressions when she heard Mirai's comment about the bathroom, and she almost laughed, though she merely smirked at first, not really toward her in any way, but instead just kept her own bemusement to herself. She might like to ******** with people now and then, but this wasn't the time nor place...especially given the particular situation that they found themselves in. She seemed to analyse herself, looking herself over in contemplation, and Mirai actually felt a little bad. The woman was second-guessing herself because of what Mirai had said, and that didn't sit well with her at all. Then, she began to enter some semblance of explanation--saying that this was the result when you were running from...but she stopped, and Mirai watched as she coughed and spluttered a little bit, panicking suddenly. Her eyes were not difficult to follow as she looked towards that creepy a** old man, sitting not too far away. Shortly after, however, the man folded his paper, stood up, and left the room without saying anything. This was absolutely not a coincidence...how the hell could it be? she turned back toward Alley, ready to ask some questions about what the s**t just occurred. It was at this point that she made some half assed excuse about running through a lot of forest, and Mirai quirked a brow. Right. "Well, Alley, I do believe the next time you go running through any forests, you should bring a pair of shoes. And maybe some backup." She stated with a smile, though there was sharpness to it--not dangerous, but protective in a way. Alley would know, she was sure, that she was saying that she would be her backup in those cases--that she would help protect her from assholes who had something against her. ******** that old man. Whoever he was.

But, while she was thinking about all of this, the strawberry blonde with the doe eyes came back into the room from before, looking completely and totally out of her element. The girl was a lot more shy than Mirai had caught onto when she had come by the first time, and she seemed rather hesitant to actually approach them. However, her timidness, much like the doe that her eyes had been modelled after, was somehow endearing in a way--it reminded Mirai of who she had been only a few years before. When Alley and Mirai had both stopped their chatter and turned to face her instead, she swallowed the lump in her throat and she began to ramble on about a thousand different things that really didn't matter. Why she was called what she was--how she felt about it...but, she did mention fireball shooting gloves, which sounded pretty insanely badass. And, she did happen to notice Mirai's gauntlets, and compliment on them, which instantly got her a couple of brownie points. "Well, thank you very much. I appreciate it. I built them myself." Mirai said with a bright grin--proud of her work. Pyra mentioned that she wanted to get a place in the city as well as pick up some equipment in the city and her stomach growled as they stood there, bringing a statement about being hungry along with it. Well, Mirai could probably go for a good meal after they had found places together. It might be nice to have some people living close-by. Some people she knew in this place to make it feel a little more homey. She hadn't been alone for a long time--having Akio and Kimiko to keep her sane in school, before Kimi died and Akio vanished. Then, she had the gangs to keep her company on the streets for the last year. It would be nice knowing there was someone familiar close to her. She nodded to each of them with a smile and took a deep breath. "Well, what the hell are we waiting for? Let's do this, and then we can get out there and...kick some A.I. arse, as you said, no?" Mirai stated, giving a wink toward Pyra.

The girls returned to the elevators that had brought them to the main offices in the first place, and as they rode them down, it was a quiet, but comfortable silence. They didn't have all too much to talk about--Mirai didn't want to invade much into Alley's affairs, as they were obviously complex, and she had no business in them. She wasn't going to go digging through some girl's problems. She had enough of her own problems. If it became an issue that affected Mirai in the process, then it would become something she looked into...until then, Alley could handle her own affairs until she asked for help, if she needed it. Then, Pyra, well, really, she didn't have all too much to talk to about either. They were strangers...and Mirai wasn't the best at talking to strangers. She didn't really socialize much outside the groups she was familiar with--and all of those groups were either dead or in prison at this point...or...well...looking for her so they could cut her ******** head off. But then again...everyone had enemies, right? when they got to the main floor, she went to the entrance, where the initial greeting staff were, and she asked the secretary where they should find their accommodations. The woman gave her good directions toward the residential area just outside of the baiter facilities, and Mirai thanked her before moving along her way with the others. They left the main facilities and upon reaching the road, she stretched her arms back, and then up and over her head. She rolled her neck and she took a deep breath as they walked. It was a beautiful day, and they were on their way to the residential section just outside the main area of Gondora that they Baiter Facilities were located in. When they reached the borderlines of the residential section, as well as the Baiter section, she stopped and turned to Alley and Pyra. "Alright, gals, there seem to be a few buildings around? Feel like getting places in the same building, or do you want to spread out?" She asked, locking her hands together behind her back and leaning back and forward on her feet, testing balance as she waited to see what they wanted to do.

Alley merely frowned at the suggestion of shoes. “I don't like shoes.” She said simply, then shrugged at the suggestion of back up as well. “The running through the forest was a last minute decision. Not much time for planning.” She said, both happy and unhappy that it seemed avoiding talking about the lab itself seemed to keep the old man off her back, or at the very least her throat. Alley listened to the other girl ramble about liking explosives and fire balls. Alley couldn't help sniff the air a bit. It seemed to get Pyra's energy up talking about it. “Ah, that's why you have the faint smell of smoke on you.” She commented. She wasn't being rude, it was just hard not to sniff the air after hearing that people were around certain things. She looked at Mira's gauntlets, not sure what was to great about them, but was a little impressed to hear the woman made them herself. Pyra seemed to agree about seeing about a place to stay as well, along with something to eat. Alley could feel her spirits lift at the thought of an actual cooked meal instead of the raw meat she had been eating off of for the past few weeks.

Alley followed the girls to the elevator, keeping quiet so she didn't embarrass them with her unkempt presence. The girls were much tidier than her, but what would she expect. Almost everyone was kept in homes where they were well kept and didn't think about running miles away. When they chose to come here, they usually had things they could take, like a car, or a teleportation device apparently. Either way, she doubted anyone had to actually run through the forest like she did and not waste time trying to be neat. Alley glanced at the girls again, her mind wondering what made them decide to come here. Pyra seemed a little timid in parts, but she did seem to be able to hold her own. Obviously, she passed the test. That said something surely. Either she was good, or just had some damn good luck. Mira seemed to a woman very capable of taking care of herself. Though that could also be a front of some kind. Who knew.

Alley followed them out to the street, cocking her head this way and that as she took in the different sounds that came. Cities were so noisy, honestly. The most she was use to was the air system in her room. Alley focused on Mira as she spoke up, raising an eyebrow as she looked at the buildings. “Yeeaaaa, I'm going to have to go with someone. I don't know how to do this. So whoever doesn't care to share the same building as me, speak now or I'll just follow one of you like a lost pup.” She said, taking her first two fingers and making them walk on air to show what she meant, though her face was completely serious. She honestly didn't know anything about apartments and it was better to have someone help rather than have her just howl in frustration.

Seraphina 'Pyra' Rothford

Mission: Apartment Get!

Seraphina's embarrassment slowly settled although her stomach was still busy with its gymnastics routine. She returned Mirai’s bright smile, she was clearly proud of her work and upon closer inspection they didn't look new, worn in places with spots of rust in others, but based off what had happened to her zippo when it had absorbed Goliath, she would bet that the gauntlets appearance was because of her A.I. that she had gained by passing the test to become a B.A.I.T.R., her weapon her code core, Pyra had thought about doing that as well but she hadn't brought along a weapon with her. The boat master hadn't allowed her custom made Westley Richards bolt-action .308 caliber hunting rifle aboard his precious ferry what a blowhard. "Your A.I. made them look like that didn't it?" Pyra asked indicating the gauntlets appearance, and running her fingers over the bark texture Goliath had imparted on her zippo. She looked to Alley at her comment about smelling like smoke, blushing again and sniffing around herself smelling a faint trace of ash and smoke, Alley must have some nose on her to pick that up. Frowning slightly, she fell in behind the Alley as they both followed Mirai into the elevator. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, her jaw tight so she didn't let out any noise. Heck she didn't breathe until she got out of the elevator and into the lobby, they continued outside and all stretched one way or another, glad to be out in the fresh air. The light clouds drifted lazily in the sky sometimes obscuring the sun, it was a beautiful day, no sign of rain anywhere, and she was happy for that. The air was heavy with salt a smell she always loved and it brought back memories of visiting the coast as a kid, playing in the sand and collecting shells.

Then they arrived at the residential area and started talking about where to find places to stay. She glanced around at the apartment buildings glittering in the sunlight. "W-well... I-I..." She stammered her mouth refusing to form words fluently, clearing her throat she began again. "Well, I'm fine with all of us getting into the same building." And looking towards Alley she giggled then added. "I don't mind you following me around like a lost puppy, that be kinda cute!" Pyra grinned and it was more than her joke that warmed her cheeks it was a bright future she saw ahead of them. Imaging all the good times they would have, the bonds they would make fighting for the future of the human race against the A.I.s near limitless potential for destruction. 'Wow that thought turned a bit dark, eh?' 'Puny hooman haz beast and weell git better toogethar!' Goliath's voice rumbled in her subconscious his speeches seemed to be getting better, well better than a couple trees grinding against one another. Hmm, she wondered if it was the time that Goliath had spent captive in containment that weekend the A.I. that had caused it to be unable of forming words, she hoped that was the case otherwise she'd pitch a fit for getting saddled with the big dumb 'hit it with a stick' A.I.. Sigh, either way she'd grown attached to the big brute and when she was able to summon it, could definitely prove useful in a fight. But that was neither here nor there that would be later on. She pointed towards a building to the far right of them, it was tall and near the edge of the floating island with balconies looking out to the sea below them. "How about that one? It looks like it'll have a beautiful view of the sunrise."

Mirai scrunched her face up as the woman mentioned that she merely didn't like shoes, but she let it pass without saying anything else about it. Whatever. If the girl didn't like shoes, let her deal with the cut up feet and the bullshit she'd get under her nails and all that crap. When she went on to explain that running through the woods hadn't been a planned experience, Mirai could link most of it all together. She had been running to escape something--someone--some situation that Mirai didn't know about. The old man who had been in the office that she had seemed terrified of was likely involved in some way, and she wasn't able to really talk about it. Well, it worked for her. She didn't need to stress out about these other girls' problems quite yet. She just needed to find a couple of friendly faces that she could go into battle with and not feel completely worried about their competency. When Alley mentioned the smell of smoke on Pyra, Mirai sniffed the air, but caught no scent of such a thing. She was sure if she got up in the young woman's business, she might be able to smell it, but she was nowhere near that close. Alley made a comment about needing or wanting to be in the same building as at least one of them, because she didn't know how to do the whole apartment thing. Considering they had their cards now that Quan had transformed, they would be able to pay for a quaint little place, at least. Though, the thought of living alone again made her stomach flip. "Come on girl, you're not a kid anymore. That's the past." She couldn't let herself be anchored by her fear of being abandoned or being alone, anymore. She had to be strong.

Pyra was asking her questions about her gauntlets as they walked and Mirai smiled toward her and nodded. "Yeah, I got a Uni-Blaster for my A.I. core, and the little b*****d isn't exactly shiny. But, the left gauntlet is how they are supposed to look. I only used one." She said with a grin, showing Pyra the difference between the two gauntlets. The right was the one with the rusted, gray-steel look to it, the left was still sleek black material with the same glowing lights throughout. Pyra agreed to them all getting a place in the same building, and Mirai was happy for it. That gave her two people that she would know around her. Two people she could possibly bother if they were around. That she knew were just on the other side of the wall. That way she didn't have to be alone...truly alone at least. It was at that point that Pyra suggested one of the buildings that overlooked the vast oceans that Gondora were surrounded by, and Mirai nodded. It did seem like quite a lovely view. "Alright, Strawbs, I'm alright with that one, let's check it out." Mirai said, beginning to make her way down the street leading to the right and off toward the edge of the city. It would be a bit of a trek--being in the far side of the city, but it would be a nice place to kick up your boots and relax at the end of the day. She was sure she could do some neat things to the inside of an apartment too. She wondered what they were already equipped with, and what she might be able to mess around with a little bit more. As they walked down the street, Mirai didn't make all too much small-talk, not really used to meeting new people or trying to make new friends. She had been taken in by people most of her life--taken in by Akio and Kimiko when she was in university, and then taken in by the gangs when she was at her lowest point on the streets, with nobody there. Now, it was her turn to try to bring people in to her instead of huddling under their wings. She pondered about what they could eat when they were walking, and she turned to the girls as they made their way toward the building. "So, what kind of food you guys like?" She asked, quirking a brow as she waited for their response.

By the time that they made it to the building in questions, the others would have had time to respond on their walk over about what they liked to eat, and they would have figured out, together, their options for when they finished up with the apartment. After that, all that would be left over was to get themselves into a mission and head out into the real world to see what kind of trouble they could get up to together. The lobby of the building was nice, if not a little strange. It seemed like a nice place--though there was just nobody inside of it. The main desk had a robot steward, hovering in the air behind the desk, its twirled moustache looking rather in-place, and the monocle forever pasted to its left eye. It turned toward them, its beady eyes looking them over. The moustache covered the thin lines that represented the semblance of the mouth, though it didn't move when the bot spoke. It had a very cylindrical head and body, the propulsion jets shooting from the lower portion of the torso cylinder. It even had a lovely vest pulled over the body as well, to make it more presentable. "Well! Good day, Ma'am! And to you as well, Ma'am. And also to you, Ma'am! It's wonderful to see some people coming through here. Been quite a while." The robot stated, laughter with a thick British accent rang out directly after he finished speaking. "Just kidding, of course. Nobody has ever lived here. Might be nice to have some company after a couple of lonely centuries. But, pish posh, you're not here for a sob story, and if you are, by George, I will give you one later. But, I assume you're here for the rooms, yes? Please?" Mirai quirked an eye at the bot and shrugged as she looked back to the others. "Yeah, we're here for rooms. Three of them if we can, on the same floor." "Well, I did just say that there's never been a soul to live in this building didn't I? You can pick whatever floor you like. Just not the penthouses. You can't have those. Reserved for the uppers if they want them, you know. Here's your keys, now go explore!" The robot shouted enthusiastically, followed by more heavily British laughter.

Mirai took the keys, and the butler explained that each key was a master key for any identified "empty" rooms, and that it would work on any of the doors until they signed on for a room in the building, at which time the new owner would insert the key into their door, and the door lock and key would mould themselves to each other in a random, new, shape, and the key would only work for that door. Mirai brought the girls up to the 39th floor, only about five floors below the penthouses, and she walked into one of the apartments, opening it up and throwing the door open with no hesitation. What greeted her was beautiful. She smirked as she looked at the tile flooring in the entrance, a large closet to her right, with plenty of space for shoes in the bottom and clothing to hang on the cross-bar. Going further into the entrance hallway, it opened up into a massive open-concept kitchen / living room area, a thin, metal spiral staircase in the corner of the room leading up to the second floor. Not all apartments spread two floors like that, so it was nice to have a larger set-up. She looked out the windows of the livingroom to see the sprawling ocean was on this side of the apartment building, which was lucky. The upper area was no more than just a loft with a bedroom in it, not really a large second floor, but it would be enough. She liked that it was just the small staircase up to her room--that meant that it would be hard for anyone to get into it without her noticing. Her room had windows off into the ocean as well, and a large bed, a walk-in closet and a bathroom attached. She would be comfortable here, easily. She smiled and nodded to herself. This was the place--for sure. She grinned as she went back to the door to see if the other girls had found themselves a place yet, too.

A beauty outside,
a beast inside

Alley walked behind the two girls as they spoke about Mirai's gauntlets. She wasn't sure what to say about them. It was the first time she honestly saw a pair so she didn't have much of an idea how to talk about them. She didn't even realize they were some kind of weapon. She figured they were some weird fashion thing that free people made up. The scientists had some weird things on them, like the chains they called bracelets on their wrists or necklaces around their necks.

Alley looked up at the building Pyra had pointed at, not caring about the sunrise thing. Sunrises look about the same as the rest of nature. She did look at the ocean, looking at the very few colors she could honestly see. A view didn't matter to her, she just wanted something that was actually soft to sleep. Not leaves and sticks bundled into a pile. She looked at Mirai, tearing her eyes off the ocean and shrugged her shoulders. “Anything is fine with me.” She said with great interest, not wanting to say that all she ever had was steak and potatoes her whole life. Well, with a few fruits and vegetables here and there, but she mostly saw steak and potatoes. Now that she was free, she could try anything. That fact actually had her a little excited.

Alley followed them into the building taking note of the lack of human smell in the building. She raised her eyebrow at that fact, looking at the owner that greeted them, realizing that he was a robot. She kept quiet though, letting the thing tell them that hasn't been anything checking into the building in years. Not surprising, due to the A.I. thing though she was surprised that this thing was even still in charge of the place. Or the fact that place wasn't shut down for the fact it had been unused for centuries. Alley to her key with thanks to both Mirai and the butler robot and followed Mirai to the 39th floor. Alley walked past Mirai as she opened a door to a room. Alley walked down about four door away before using her key to open the door. When she opened it, she was a little relieved to see it was mostly white. No bad yellow coloring. At least nothing that popped out. Alley looked around, surprised that it was so large. It was definitely larger than her cell back at the lab. She opened a door close to the one she had opened, to find it was a small closet. She raised her eyebrows before closing it, walking further into the room, if she could call it that. She walked through the living room, looking over the couch and tv before walking onto the brown floor boards that held an oven, sink, fridge, and a lot of cabinets. She was pretty sure that the area was called a kitchen. The lab's was a lot larger. A door around the corner of the living room was a bathroom.

She turned around and walked toward a stairway, following it up to find a large open area. It wasn't as large as the first floor, but it had a railway at the edge that looked over the living area. There was four doors, three led to bedrooms while the last led to another bathroom. She stood there taking in all the space she had that she could freely come and go. She felt her excitement bubble up that she ended up letting out a shriek and jumped up and down. “I did it! I did it!” She sang happily as she did her little dance. She ran straight to the bathroom soon after, quickly jumping into the shower and cleaned off. She was glad to see that the place had it's own soap and such. It didn't have much of a scent, something she was use to. She washed all over, three times to be sure that she was clean. She looked at her feet, sure enough that she did indeed to have a few cuts, but they looked alright. They would heal with no problem.

Alley stepped out, trying to dry her hair the best she could. The towel was completely soaked at the end, though her hair was still really wet. She didn't want to waste another towel though. It would dry, sooner or later. She braided the same section of hair she always did before pulled her clothes on. They were dirty, but they were the only pair of clothes she had on hand. She walked out the room, excited about what they were going to eat.

What scares you more, the human or the beast in me?

Seraphina 'Pyra' Rothford

Mission Completed: Apartment Got!

Seraphina's cheeks turned a bright crimson as both women sniffed in her direction, she held her breath. 'One two three, four, five, six. Seven. Eight. Nine... And ten.' She let out the air slowly, feeling much better as her stomachs routine seemed to be in an intermission. Pyra leaned over to more closely examine Mirai's left gauntlet pausing as she was reaching out for it. "May I?" She looked up at Mirai, her eyes wide and soft, begging to touch them but afraid of offending Mirais personal boundaries. She nodded and moved her prized weapon into Pyras grasp. The smooth glossy metal was cool under her fingers exploration, she could almost feel the powerful electronics under the sleek surface. Almost connect with it like it was calling out to her to be one with her. She was mesmerized by the combination of the new tech she wanted to experience and the way the high grade alloy felt under her roving fingers. Pyra was standing there fondling the other woman's gauntlet not unlike the way one might a lover. "I know she's beautiful, but she's already taken." Mirai stated with a joking grin as Pyra looked up at her, she gave a playful wink and blushing furiously Pyra started stammering out apologies. "Oh! Uhh... S-sorry! I'm sorry, I uhh... Didn't mean to... Umm... Come on to..." "Haha, don't worry, girl, I'm just having a little fun." Mirai explained with a slight grin still lingering on her full lips. They both looked down at Pyra's hands still on Mirai's gauntlet, digits slowly caressing the lovely weapon, looking back up their eyes met. Mirai raised her eyebrows twice, then they both burst out laughing. Pyra wrapped an arm around her stomach, which had finally settled down completely, she slowly caught her breath, their laughter faded out into pleasant silence as they continued walking.

Seraphina smiled as they headed for the ocean view building, she had indicated, excited that they all were going to be living in the same building. Mirai called her 'Strawbs' and she didn't know how to feel, part of her was flattered by the new nickname, it was endearing, and the other part of her was embarrassed by it, so she just had to ask. "Strawbs? Really?" Mirai brought up the subject of food, hmm Pyra had traveled some before this but she didn't know what the people here ate. Did they have their own unique cuisine? Or did the inhabitants keep their own culinary culture and Gondora was just a huge melting pot of different foods from around the world. Pyra pondered while Alley voiced that she didn't have a preference what they dined on. 'Huh, she's a curious one. She seems genuinely happy to be here but doesn't really like or want to stand out. Hmm, wonder what she's hiding.' She glanced back at Mirai when she noticed that she had kinda been staring at Alley, Pyra's cheeks grew a few shades pink, as she watched Mirai open the door and walk into the lobby, to be greeted by a robot butler with a thick British accent. "Blimy! I feel at home already!" She joked laying on her own accent heavily. Then thanked the butler and took her key card falling in step with the other girls all the way up to the thirty ninth floor picking a door in between the other two, swiping her card she opened the apartment door.

"Wow!" The studio style apartment is massive and bright as the far wall is two large panes of glass separated in the middle by a support section for the windows and the staircase which went away from the wall each steps support hanging from the ceiling. With a closet two the right of the door a full length mirror on the door. She looked at herself idlely playing with a lock of her hair, she giggled as she noticed its color, strawberry blonde. "Well at least she noted my hair color! And appreciate it, I hope." Turning around she went to the kitchen nook to the left of the door and filled with high tech appliances opening the refrigerator and snagging a bottle of spring water popping open the top and knocking it back, quenching her thirst. "Ahh! That hit the spot!" Setting the bottle down on the bar that separated the kitchen from the rest of the floor, she walked around the wall side of the bar passing the pantry and coming up next to a bookshelf on the left wall with a couch in front of it facing the opposite wall then a coffee table sitting in front of that under the suspended stairs, the large entertainment center dominants the right wall with a large telly perched atop it. Drinking it all in Pyra walked through the apartment to the stairs and slowly climbed up reaching the half floor loft with a large four post bed with a white lace canopy, shrouding the bed. The other furniture matched the white decor with some light pink trim on the wardrobe, makeup table, headboard and, footboard. "Ooo! Nice and cozy up here! I think I found a winner!" Pyra announced to no one. 'I still heer hooman!' Goliath's voice rummbled in her head. "Yeah, I still have you buddy." She sighed and wanted to get back to her new friends but she figured Alley was taking a shower, so she looked around and started a shopping list of things she'd need to make this place home.

Several minutes later she had finished a couple lists one for apartment stuff and one for weapons and other gear. Satisfied with her progress she tucked away the lists in her jacket and headed out her door. To find a still empty hallway... So she leaned against the wall next to her door and played with her code core zippo, happy to find that it was still a working lighter. She smiled at the flickering flame in front of her, her face aglow with more that just the light of the fire, dancing before her.

When it came to the food ideas, the two girls were of little to no help at all, so it seemed that Mirai was the one who was in charge of food decisions. And she was okay with that. The walk over to the apartment had been nice, and the exchange between herself and Pyra had been...interesting. The woman was young...still a child, almost, in so many ways. Mirai had a few years on her, she could already tell, but she was really...well...sexy. The doe eyes, the soft skin, the reddish hair...she was a bombshell, to be sure. She was a woman...sure...but something was just...eh, she didn't need to worry about that anyways. It was just nice to see a woman who looked at tech almost as longingly as they looked at the object of their sexual desires. Mirai wondered if the woman had even paused to think of that...if it was something that would cross her mind. Mirai smirked to herself as she stood in the hallway. She knew the other girls were getting ready, and she was not in any rush. She wanted to get out and see what the outside world was like, sure, but they had prior engagements, and getting to know them was kind of...nice. She just had to remind herself that she couldn't get too close. She had already let herself run along the thoughts of having friends close-by, but she knew better than most that it didn't matter how much you cared about someone...or how much they cared about you...they always went away. She felt her shoulders drop as she slid down the hallway wall, finding her resting place on the floor as she realized that she was just being a child again. She was searching for people to make her feel like she was not alone. Even Kimiko had...that wasn't fair. She heaved a sigh, knowing she was doing what the old her would do--wallowing. She couldn't let it bother her. Treat them with kindness, but do not expect to develop any relations with them.

It took some time, but Alley and Pyra made their ways out into the hall, and when they did, Mirai slowly stood up from where she had plopped down. Alley was still wearing the same clothes, though her skin had been washed and the beautiful pallor of it reminded Mirai of a geisha. Her hair still seemed wet, but she was most definitely cleaner. They would need to get her some clothes sometime soon...really soon. Hell, they likely shouldn't even go outside before she had proper equipment for it. But, Mirai would leave that to her. If she needed something before they left, she would say something, if she didn't then she would just go along with it. Pyra sat along the wall as well, flicking her lighter back and forth, and Mirai had honestly been so caught up in her own thoughts, that she had failed to even realize the woman had been along the same wall. She stood up and looked around the corner to find Pyra there, and mentally smacked herself in the forehead. How did she not hear her come out? No matter. Mirai just nodded to her with a warm smile. "Alright, it might be selfish of me, but I am taking you for some Japanese food. If you're both indifferent, then I am going to show you some good stuff." She stated with an equally excited grin. 'Just because you aren't letting them into your heart, doesn't mean you can't still have fun...' She took a deep breath and she nodded to them each before she turned on her heel and led them back to the elevators. As they got inside Mirai reached down into her pants pocket and she took out a small silver stick, smaller than most lipstick tubes used to be. She then grabbed a tiny little flap on it and pulled, which opened the stick into a full drawer inside just big enough to fit what looked like a glass dragon, and a clear bag of some sort of green herb. If these two girls didn't know what marijuana was, then they would only know it smelt strange, and that Mirai had just done a very impressive magic trick. "Hope you girls don't mind. Medicine. Helps me relax." She stated, reaching into the baggy and grabbing out a small little piece of the tight bud before she tore it apart with her fingers, dropping the small fragments into a dip that create a slight bowl in the top of the dragon's head. She then put the baggy back into the stick-drawer and then pushed the drawer back into the stick, and it disappeared into it with ease. An interesting little space-time flux drawer that she had made to hide her stash. It didn't even smell like weed, seeing as the weed wasn't even in the current space time to smell like anything. As she returned the stick to her pocket, Pyra looked over at the pipe and quirked a brow. "Need a light?" Mirai was actually taken aback by the woman's forward response, and she smirked. "In a minute, yeah." Alley was sniffing the air, and scrunching her nose, like she was smelling something terrible for the first time and Mirai laughed as she looked over at her. "Sorry, I know it smells a little gnarly." She said with a laugh.

The doors opened and they stepped out, walking toward the exit of the building. Mirai said goodbye to the butler as well, and he happily chimed in behind them that there was no smoking allowed in the building, and to have a nice day. Mirai waved back at him as she nodded over to Pyra for the light. The strawberry blonde procured her lighter and Mirai looked at it with a smirk, it was actually really nice. She'd have to accidentally take that home some time. Pyra sparked the lighter and Mirai placed the tail of the dragon in her mouth, and pulled, the flame lighting the bud and she inhaled deep, allowing the smoke to fill her lungs before she removed the pipe from her lips and she held it for a few moments before she replaced her lips to the tail of the pipe and she smirked as she blew the smoke back into the hole. The exhalation closed a flap to the bowl that didn't allow the weed to be shot out of it from the air, but the smoke instead came out of the dragon's mouth, breathing a plume of smoke that actually smelt more like fruit than it did weed. The magics of technology. She took another quick puff off of it before turning it over and letting the ash be carried on the breeze, returning the pipe to her storage department and rubbing her hands together as if she was hatching a scheme of sorts.

They walked and talked on the way to the train, moving together toward their transport to downtown, and as they moved she felt the hunger begin to strike. She was glad for it in a way, only pushing her to want to go through with this even more. There was no way skipping out on bonding time now--she was hungry. They reached their train, and Mirai hopped on, kicking back as she sat with the two women. She explained to them on the train the type of Ramen House she was bringing them to. One that sold the noodle soup as well as donburi, onigiri, and sushi. They would have a feast if they wanted to. By the time she had spoken to them about the type of food that they would be having, the train was almost there, and they moved off of the train, milling through the much more busy downtown section they were now in. She had never been here before, but having grown up in Shanghai, and spent her last year and a bit on the streets, she was used to the crowds and was able to shift through them, keeping an eye on the other two to make sure they were following behind her closely. They reached a street with a bunch of restaurants on it, and she motioned for the others to wait for a second as she moved toward an asian man having a smoke outside a restaurant. "Koko de watashi wa ikutsu ka no yoi Nihon no tabemono o eru koto ga dekimasu ka?" She was polite to the man, and batted her lashes, the man gave her some directions and she nodded to him with a smile. She walked back and looked at the two girls and smiled. She explained she had asked for some directions, and before long the three girls were sitting inside the restaurant preparing to order their food. Mirai ordered a bowl of Spicy Netsu Ramen, and got herself two salmon Oni-Giri. The last thing she decided on was also a green dragon roll for sushi, and she readied herself to give advice to the other girls on what they wanted to eat.
