Ian automatically had leaned back, attempting to push the alcohol away, but alas, his attempts were futile, since a second later, Shiloh had the bottle back in his hands. Still, the hug that followed was nice, and Ian let out an exasperated sort of sound, pushing his nose into Shiloh's hair.
"You're such a lush," he said dryly, but he did like the sound of being near Shiloh's bed, even if he wasn't entirely certain what he meant by "little chat." Eyeing the phone in his hand somewhat suspiciously, Ian stumbled a little under Shiloh's weight, and then patted his head.
"Okay, okay," he said with a laugh. "We'll grab the booze, bring it back upstairs, and have ourselves a little talk - who are you texting - "
The rest of his sentence was lost to Maebe, Ian's mouth slightly agape, and then he gave a sputter, half amused, half exasperated, quickly rearranged his face, and said, in a deadpan voice that only Maebe could hear, "Isn't that a good thing?"
Then he promptly started dragging Shiloh away before she realized what he had said and before Shiloh could wreak any more havoc.

Milo was keeping himself oblivious to pretty much all the goings on with the other hunters, it all seemed personal. Thankfully a big chunk of it was going on down the hall and away from his prying eyes (not that he would have prying eyes, even if he kind of did notice it before he went on into all of this). His focus was on these big ******** bugs, because if nothing was done about them... then he was going to have a bad time down here in the basement.

He had already determined that Jack was not high on his list of well-liked people, but the more he talked, the more that Jack became high on his list of people that Gale really and truly disliked. With people like Caelius, it was one thing, and sometimes Gale had mostly learned to deal with the Death Division Leader.
Jack, on the other hand, was not about to get the same luxury. The look Gale leveled towards him was entirely devoid of respect, and this time he didn't even bother attacking, simply stood there and looked at him. He could hear Stormy beside him, but he didn't turn around just yet.
"You," he said calmly. "don't get to decide that."

"Oh, Maebs," he paused, glancing over his shoulder at her with a grin, "Play nice okay!" He neglected to tell her why, or with whom.

"Never said I did. However, neither do you," he retorted. "Good things like her? They don't get to last. Not out in the world, certainly not here." The alcohol was making him more sentimental than usual, though apparently in Jack's case sentimentality came with a cold look of his own. Gale's expression was one he was so familiar with, he registered it as normal at this point; that was why he didn't appear affected at all by either it or his words. British Boy was just another face to him--one more obstacle to take down to get what he wanted.
But Gale himself mattered so little that, easy as you please, Jack turned his head to call out to his dungeon buddy, like they were just having a friendly discussion. "Yo, Power Ranger! You're lucky the tournament didn't allow charges, because--"
(( Oh, oh, we may show off now? Yes! Excellent! Burbulous! )) That last one wasn't a word, Jack was sure, but he let Owain have his fun. The zweihander's runes flashed as he swung at a group of flies, the speed mismatched against its length and weight. It wasn't quite as amazing as he liked, but, well, he supposed that too was a side-effect of the alcohol.

Though Quinn can never say Shiloh didn't answer his questions... mostly. More popped in his head as he searched around. One in particular was why was Shiloh drunk in the basement? Was he asking for Quinns help? Who was this Maebe person?? Well that was at least some pretty good directions he gave.... only problem was, there was a lot of stairs in Deus. Evidently he managed to find the right set that lead downwards eventually. He soon found himself inside a basement with people. A LOT of people. Apparently he guessed wrong. "Uhm." He noticed Shiloh, and even knew Ian, whom seemed to be helping the other man walk. Quinn made a point to stay near the door. What was going on?

In her growing anger she became aware of a detail that was bugging her about the Life hunter: his weapon had a lock and chains, but it was giving off a vague green smoke. Considering she was sure Jack hadn't come to the island before The Tear incident, Stormy had to wonder what that was about.
Focusing on random details. It was the only way to reign herself in, though her buzz was telling her to just let it all out.
It bugged her also that neither of them had spoken of looked at her, like adults ignoring a child trying to pipe in. In the back of her head she understood Gale was defending her, but for the most part she found him guilty of ignoring her, too. It validated her existing anger and fed it, gave her an excuse to move away so she could cut down more flies.
They wanted to have a talk? Fine. Whatever. They had their space now. Maybe Gale'd shoot him or something. But for now, she was beginning to regret pursuing Jack for the sake of showing off; Stormy had yet to realize many ideas when drunk usually were bad.

As much as he wanted to avoid things, getting called did catch his attention. Milo lulled his head in the direction of Jack and completed the turn with the rest of his body. A few bugs were beginning to pile up near him, but he gave the taller hunter a watch and even whistled, impressed, with the display of feats.
"Chaaa, that would have been a nasty hit, brah ~" He had to agree on that one.
< aho, I'm all charged up.. so let loose or whatever you say... > Well, that brought a wide wicked grin to the brunette's face. He staggered slightly as he shifted his stance. The runes that decorated the blade of Koume's naginata radiated slightly as a wind picked up around it. He didn't really have a proper attack in mind for this move, he knew there was kind of a name for it but he decided to use Gokai Silver's (no gif, sigh), though what he said was totally from Hurricanger. "Hayate Ryu Kengi Shipuzan!" The gust of wind sharped and sailed into the collection of bugs around him as he swung the blade.

Whatever these bugs were they were a plentiful source of fear. Twisting the blade hard resulted in several more of the unfortunate flies and maggots twisted and sliced beyond recognition.
Tracey lit up in the dim light like an infra red spotlight.

It was reflex, hard wired reflex that bypassed the thinking part of his brain. There was a charge, therefore he should use a charge. There wasn't room to jump, but he figured just the flick of the blade from the apex of where the leap would usually be would be enough. He wanted to help, and it was the best way he knew how.
There just. Wasn't really much room. He closed his eyes and hoped he could pull it off.

Yup, they were definitely doing this. Poor flies. Al took aim and clunked another fly across the room. He guiltily looked at their 'babies'.

While Rin was backup for the hallway, Melvin was now the doorway backup, and soon knew that he could not stay any longer. There were plenty of people now - enough to even make the room crowded. He could go, and what little shred that kept him here, which was to make sure they were safe, was now no longer a need to be filled.
He left, spotting Rin and gripping her wrist. "We....we can go now." This wasn't a party, and he didn't have it in him anymore to be around this buzzing.
"Please."

Rin was grabbed by the wrist but held Byr tighter in her hand. She allowed herself to be lead. "Too soon." She remarked in earnest. It really was for her. She couldn't do this. All she could think about was getting away. Far away.
"You look good in a dress," She both complimented and distracted.
