hillary84 angel_of_joy hillary84 Hello. I'm Hillary. I'm a new Fannibal and just started watching on Wendsday. I confess I'm horribly addicted and am already done with both seasons. But sadly the finale has me helplessly in shock and wish it was next year already. Holy Cow you caught up quickly. Kudos to you! Welcome to the fandom and the guild! Happy to have you. I confess I watched a few episodes before bed. Very hard to find places to catch up on shows. Liked it when NBC use to keep the full season up until the new one. Yeah, I could never watch them there because i'm in canada so they weren't avaliable in my location but other canadian carriers did have them, at least until I was able to buy the DVDs then I was good.

Hi! I'm Batman_Joker-2Sides_1Coin, call me BJ for short. Thank you for allowing me to join your guild. smile I first read the books a few years ago and I rather liked them. Because the original trilogy, not the prequel, had the rare ending of the villain winning, mostly because it's a different kind of ending from the usual. I had seen Silence of the Lambs movie before I read the books- great movie- I thought Anthony Hopkins nailed that role. Then within the last 2 years I heard about Hannibal the TV show, and watched season1 from its premiere to the end. Unfortunately I have yet to see season 2! sad Hoping to get season 2 when it comes out on dvd. Well, that's about it 'Hannibal" wise . Thanks again for allowing me to join!
Also, I am a big fan of Mads Mikkelson (plays Hannibal) I think he does a very good job in Hannibal

Hello, I'm Thiinka and i'm really glad you invited me to this guild, tumblr isn't enough to sate my residual season two finale feelings. I've been on gaia since I was a tiny, even more naive child, in november 2007.
I started watching (and binged) Hannibal sometime last year during the beginning of the fall, I believe. The show just captivated me and took advantage of my apathy towards Doctor Who at the time. Also Hugh is precious and who would not watch a show in which he is literally a puppy-eyed (doe-eyed? hughughguhgeugheughe) curly haired floof of a man. Also Mads. I need to watch more movies with him in it.
Also. Can't wait for season three to somehow resolve some of my brokenness from the finale.

I hate that they archived our sub forum so I wanted to make sure that active people over there had a place to go. Hope you like it! I have a really bad feeling that season three will resolve some of the angst that season two ended on, but I don't think we're not going to be broken. It's all just going to break us even more.

silverflameca Heya, thanks for the guild invite! I'm silverflameca and I joined Gaia in 2007ish during uni. I've never seen Silence of the Lambs and don't typically like scary/gory things... But I first watched Hannibal a year ago after seeing all this cute art for it at an anime con (one I'm going back to this weekend biggrin ). Hence I stupidly thought it was an anime about a clumsy man and all his dogs sweatdrop , and was super duper confused to find out what it really was. But I quickly fell in love with the show and caught up and then waited eagerly for season 2. I was so happy when it seemed like the murder family would be reunited at the end of season 2, but then no, it was all taken away. crying I feel so naive watching this show sometimes as it's the first one of it's genre I've seen, so yah, I don't always figure out that duh, of course it will not end well. whee Welcome to the guild! Thank you so much for coming out! Hannibal really is doing something different to TV, in my opinion. It's something new and yet it's old all at the same time. I can't wait to see what happens, and I really hope that you do get to see the movies and read the books. They are all part of this grand thing that is Hannibal and they are so enjoyable.

Ok, a tad excited there, lol.
I am Rockabettie. You may call me Mo. I am a huge fan of the show and do not know how I will survive the year long wait lol. I have not read the book series (It's on my summer reading list for coping razz ) I have seen the movies (minus Hannibal Rising)
Hope to interact with fellow Fannibals 3nodding

Yes, I think they are one of those few show's these days (but I don't watch many right now, so that might not be correct) that is taking chances to show complex psychological relationships and gore. It is very interesting. I would like to see the movies at some point, once I get up my courage. Perhaps I should start with the books...

I'm hoping that the guild can help you cope with the he-ate-us. It's my go to place for anything hannibal during the long wait and I hope to post as much stuff as I can as it becomes available.

Yeah, at least with the books, the gore is all in your head so you can imagine it as you will. The movies just show you what they think the gore should be like. But you are right. This show is taking risks. I watch a lot of shows and I haven't seen anything like this.
