TRAINING

Nick heard his phone. Growling he leaned out the shower and grabbed his towel, dried his hand and answered the phone "Yeah James? And no, before you ask, I can't bring you coffee."

"s**t no." She said as she heard the boys running to the door. Pushing Beaumont down quickly she jerked the blanket up over his head and slid over to sit infront of his body as her bedroom door slammed open.
~ ~ ~ ~

Alvin growled. "Stuck up b***h." He muttered as he turned back to the angry human. "Really I'm sorry Savannah."

"For some reason I feel like I should forgive you." Savannah said pushing up the sleeves to the long sleeve shirt she had borrowed from Kasey. "But I'm still ridiculously pissed."

 

[Arrieth]

"I wasn't gonna say that." James smiled to himself. He was having a grand old time doing a headstand on his couch as he spoke and he continued, "How's it going?" He tried to sound serious, "Baby, you never call me anymore!" He watched Ellery walk past him for the kitchen. "Hey baby, back it up this way."

"You're a pig." Ellery called back with a rather light tone.

"I'm not the one about to eat all of the food in the fridge!" James called back in the same manner. He was then, of course, stricken in the head by a flying apple. "Ow! Jesus!" He fell off of the couch and straight onto the floor, "Damn you, woman, I'm on the phone." He laughed as he returned to his conversation with Nick, "Sorry about that. Yeah baby, whassup? I had some innate feeling like you need me right now."

Both boys managed to push into the room and, in sync with one another, shouted "dog pile" and leapt onto their mother's bed, landing, of course, quite hard on the man beneath the blankets.

"Jesus, ********, Barney, you're a fat a**."

"Hi dad!" Barney's face lit up, though probably ironically as he didn't seem shocked to see his father there, "Bucky, dad's here!"

"Aw s**t, you ******** didn't say it was a party."

"Watch your mouth, damn it, Bucky." Beaumont sighed, "What the hell, can't you little dicks give your mother some privacy?"

Barney shook his head rather quickly, "The XBox is at your pad, and no one takes care of the pool, really, so there's nothing to do here except watch tv and piss mom off."

"It's easy to piss mom off."

Beaumont rolled his eyes, "Why don't you two little bastards try behaving for your mo-"

"Why are you here dad?"

"Yeah, why are you here?"

"You don't live here."

"Don't live here at all."

"Are you moving back in, hm? You and mom in love again?"

"Clearly gettin' yo freak on."

"It's nasty."

"Quite."

Micah stumbled upon the pair talking in the hallway with D.T. and Kasey close behind, "Oh, hey guys."

D.T. leapt onto Micah's back and waved at the human and fairy after she was seated comfortably on the woman's back, "Good morning."

Kasey, on the other hand, kept walking, "I expect you should understand that even though we aren't meeting today for training, you all still have a lot of work to do, and I suggest you get started."

Nick sighed. He wasn't sure but he thought he could hear noise coming from his bedroom. Over the sound of his shower he couldn't make out words. "I'm trying to shower James. Is there any way you can let me do that?"

Karen groaned. "Get. Out. Now." She managed to growl between clenched teeth. Of course she tried to keep her calm. After all once Beaumont left she could talk to the boys and try and do some damage control on this. She didn't want a relationship, or any more of one then what they had. Best not to let the boys get their hopes up.

Savannah did her best to keep her expression neutral. As if everything that had happened last night never had. Did she dare tell them she planed only to go to her room, shower and nap. "Just having a nice little chat with Alvin here."

"I said I was sorry about the mix up Savannah." Alvin said in an even sweeter voice. As if the potion being added to the waters had been a total accident.

"You made that clear. I know." Savannah said still keeping her cool.

 

[Arrieth]

"No no no." James refused to hang up before he got answers, "I'm just worried about you, Nicky, that's all. Just do me the honor of telling me what the hell's up in your life and I'll leave you alone, I swear it."

"You boys should know something." Beaumont sighed and sat up in the bed, he pat the empty spaces on either side of him and waited for the boys to get comfortable before he spoke, "I love your mother, and, I was just telling her that before you, so rudely, interrupted. Anyhow, yes, I told her, and so- it's not up to me guys, and I don't think mommy really wants to marry me again."

Beaumont could have planned the whole scenario and had the boys in on the charade and it still wouldn't have worked out better. Both boys turned to face their mother at the same time, though Bucky spoke first, "Well?"

Barney chimed in as well, "Yeah, are you gonna get back together mom?"

"What about the water?" D.T. was asking, but she was also attempting to pull at all of the ends of Micah's clothing.

"D, can you control yourself please? Like for three minutes? That would be great."

Nick groaned and hi the phone in speaker so he could return to his shower. "Nothing James. Really. I am just trying to get ready for work, and you are slowing me down here buddy." Nick grabbed the shampoo and lathered up his hair.

And just like that Karen's whole hope of not getting the boys hopes up went down the tub. She sat there dumbfounded that he would be able to turn the tables on her so easily. It wasn't that she didn't want to remarry. But Karen wasn't sure if she could handle another heart break. "Beaumont." She said with a icy sting. Yet the boys seemed so hopeful. "Kids. Your father and I need some time to talk. Alone. Would you mind giving us some space?" If they weren't right there she could probably turn him down again, without feeling even worse.

Alvin sighed and rubbed the back of his head like he felt bad. "I grabbed some of the water bottles off my counter. I guess I used one of them for a potion and didn't properly neutralize it. I apologized several times. But Savannah seems to think I am a terrible person. I don't want this to mess up our friendship." He said turning to look at Savannah with sincere eyes.

Savannah sighed "Just don't let it happen again Alvin. It really messed me up." She was going to elaborate just what it did to her, as she was sure Alvin already knew. And no one needed to know she had just had more sex in one night then she had had in a year.

 

[Arrieth]

"Hey buddy," Now James did his thing where he fought to keep the other person on the phone, "Do you have a girlfriend yet? You know that's what I'm waiting for from you, and damned wedding invitation. Or, you know, that long walk out of the closet."

The boys weren't stupid. They were sixteen now after all, and they had relationships of their own (though usually not long ones), but they knew how these things worked. They also knew, however, how to control their mother. Both gave their mother a dejected look and sighed, "Okay."

"Yeah, I guess it's not so bad with divorced parents anyway." Bucky started crawling off of the bed.

"Yeah, not so bad anyway." Barney followed with a sigh, "Just feel bad for Dad."

"Yeah, poor Dad." The two exited the room and headed back into the kitchen.

"Yeah, she ******** that vampire all night, really." D.T. had a habit of expressing her own thoughts and opinions when people wanted to hear them least.

Nick began working some of the soap from his hair. "I actually have a lady guest over now. She is sleeping at the moment." Nick ignored the gay joke. After all he knew the man was just trying to keep him on the phone. Nick could afford to indulge him a little, especially when his girl was such a catch.

Karen sighed as she watched the boys slink out of the room, their hearts seemingly broken. Pulling her knees to her chest she put her head down. "Beaumont. They look so sad." She was more worried for her kids then herself. If them getting married really meant that much to them, well then maybe she could take another chance. After all the worse that could happen had already happened once.

Savannah seemed to turn red enough to work as a stop sign. "Um well. What ever was in my drink messed me up. As I said."

Alvin light up like he just caught onto something. "Oh that's why you have a man's shirt on. I was wondering. Just thought your sense of fashion was that messed up."

"I had to borrow it. Sorry for not wanting to walk around with out a shirt on." Savannah crossed her arms over her chest trying to hide the fact it was Kasey's shirt.

"Must have been good if your shirt went missing. Or did he just rip it off?" Alvin had that gleam in his eye that said he had caught onto something that would be worth chasing down.

 

[Arrieth]

"You were so bad you put her to sleep, you damned fool." James laughed, "But seriously, tell me everything about her, come on. I have to start writing my best man's speech at your wedding." James had a habit of accepting the role of best friend for everyone he knew without it being offered. "What's she look like? Where's she work? Where's she from?"

Beaumont sighed, "Yeah, I think we may have gotten their hopes up this time." Of course by we he should have meant he did, but at the same time, she left the door unlocked. He shrugged, "Oh well, guess we'll just have to marry."

Micah sighed. It was probably best to get D.T. out of there before she embarrassed anyone else, including herself, anymore. "Well, we're off. Come on." It wasn't hard to bring D.T. along, as the woman was still on her back.

"No I was so good she passed out." Nick corrected washing the soap from his face. "She's a drop dead hottie you'd kill to have her at one of your strip clubs. She works at a school. And hell if I can remember where she is from."

Karen sighed and laid down face first, burring her face in her pillow. "Fine." She said meekly. All of her resolve melting away at the thought of her sons being so heart broken.

Alvin smiled and waved them off. "I think I should get to work to." He stepped back "See ya around Savannah."

Walking back to her room Savannah needed to talk to someone. Any one. She felt like s**t after the night she had spent with Kasey. Pulling out her phone she found Kitty's number and texted her "Are you still at the cop's house?"

 

[Arrieth]

James quieted and cocked an eyebrow, "Can't remember? So, it's not somthing like Ohio?" He shrugged on his end of the phone, "Whatever, guess if you don't want to know anything. I mean, if you did, you'd obviously ask."

Beaumont smiled to himself behind her and leaned over to rub her back. "Don;t let it get to you, baby. The only thing that matters is how you feel. And we totally love each other - so we're good!"

Kitty made a face when her phone went off, but when she checked to see that it was only Savannah she sighed and replied with a simple "Yeah. What's up?"

"Why would I need you to check up on her?" Nick asked grabbing his body sponge and squeezing soap onto it before starting to scrub his body down. "I just met the lady. I don't need you to check up on her."

Karen felt like snapping at the man. They weren't love struck teenagers any more. Yet he was acting like they were back in high school worrying over a missed period. "Yeah, yeah, yeah Beaumont. I know." She said, her words muffling into her pillow.

Savannah groaned as she read the text. "Cause I need some girl time." She sent as two other female teachers walked by whispering and giggling at her. Savannah felt sick. They were probably talking about her jumping poor Kasey all night. She looked like she had been thoroughly screwed, and she was in his shirt. She felt like a tramp. Without waiting for an answer she sent another text "I feel like some cheap whore."

Teal had waited around the office long enough. Richard she have been there at least an hour ago. But knowing his wife she had turned off his alarm and was doing all his paper work at home where she would be able to e-mail it to her and say it was his work.
Not willing to except that, Teal drove to their house, and let herself in. "Symphony! Where is that lazy singer of a husband of yours?!"

Symphony came darting into the foyer to meet her. "He's sleeping still. Ricky had a long tough night. But he did finish that paper work you had asked for last night." She was trying to keep the women from coming any farther into the house to wake her sleeping husband.

"I am sure he did. I am also sure he must have turned into a women named Symphony last night." Teal said already stepping past the smaller women "You don't mind do you? Oh of course you wouldn't" Letting her magic drop three pair of wings appeared on her back and fluttered once before settling into place. "Either you go wake him up, or I will."

"No that's not necessary. I'll go get him." Symphony said already heading for the stairs to get Ricky. If Teal wok him up he was likely to have a heart attack.

 

[Arrieth]

James sighed, "You're the cop, I guess, not me." He was silent for a moment before continuing, "So I feel you would know best if you thought the lady was hiding something - of course-" he paused again, "she could have ******** all of the doubt out of your mind."

Beaumont just sat back for a long moment before sighing and laying down beside the woman, "I love you baby, now get some rest."

"Hey hey hey, don't talk like that." Kitty sent in one message before sending a second that read, "Whores cost money." She laughed to herself before typing up and sending a third, "Ha ha, I'm just ******** with you. I'd grant you some lady time, but I'm gonna chill here until he leaves at least - he needs to get used to all this."

In the time that Symphony had left their room, Ricky had made himself a fort on their bed and was underneath the tent of blankets playing video games on his Nintendo DS.

Nick sighed. and rolled his eyes. He knew just how to get the man to shut up. "You know what, she did act kinda weird about some questions. Sure check her out for me."

After a few moments of laying with out saying anything she groaned and rolled over to hug onto Beaumont. Last thing she wanted to do was chase him off now. It would be her luck she manage to piss him off enough to leave now. "Ok Beau. I'm sorry."

Savannah made it to her room and quickly darted in. "No Kitty you left yesterday you didn't see what happened." Savannah sent that first text before typing the longer explanation. "Alvin accidentally put something in my drink, Kitty. I almost raped Kasey! We had sex so much I lost my shirt. I look like hell and just had to do the walk of shame back to my room in his shirt!"

"Teal is here. Better come out before she comes to get you." Symphony said walking around to what she guessed was the enterence. "She's in a pretty good mood though." She said poking her head in to look at her husband.

 

[Arrieth]

"Yay! Something to do!" James yelled happily, "I mean, yeah, sure, totally. See? I knew you needed me for something. Okay, wanna tell me anything about her? Like, you know, a name."

Beaumont just smiled to himself and hugged her back, "It's okay, baby. Get some sleep, really. We can take the boys out to eat later or something, but for now, just sleep.

After reading the text, Kitty literally had to put her face into a pillow to keep from laughing too loudly. "Oh god that's priceless," she muttered aloud, but she simply sent, "Oh god that sucks, I'm sorry. Why don't you just stop believing in fairies, doesn't that kill them?" She glanced up at the bathroom door. That cop sure was taking his time in the shower. She shrugged. Whatever, she preferred men that didn't smell anyhow.

"No girls allowed." Ricky threw a pillow at the door, intentionally not at his wife. He turned back to the game and focused for a moment before he tossed the gameboy out of the fort too, "******** gym leader used a full restore!"
He climbed off of the bed, the fort falling down as he did and shook it off. Whatever. Time to go downstairs in his underwear. "Hey T, what up?"

Nick rolled his eyes as he rinsed off the rest of the soap. "Her name is Kitty ((Insert fake last name that I forgot)) She works at the school, um it's the one by me."

Karen sighed. She didn't think she would be trying to sleep any time soon. Worry had built up and was making a knot in the bottom of her stomach. "Night."
~ ~ ~ ~

Savannah was quickly getting undressed determined to shower and rid herself of her action from the night before. "Hell if I know. I didn't believe in them till yesterday. So I guess that wont work. God Kitty. I had more sex last night then I've had in a year, possibly my life." Savannah texted back.

Symphony followed her husband out, stopping at the dresser to pull out pants.

"You have work to do." Teal folding her arms and looking the man up and down then raising a brow. "Care to dress?"

Symphony walked up beside Ricky and held out the pants.

Teal tapped her foot impatiently her three pair of wings unfolding and refolding in a more comfortable position. "Come on at least put the pants on."
