So Many Characters In One Place...

"If I have no other option, then I just might." Smiling, he waved one hand in a gesture to cast aside aside any worries of him being serious, or was it to enhance the fact that he was completely serious? Taking another step while surveying the area, he shrugged off Rina's statement, very clearly choosing her brother's side on this topic. Choosing to keep quiet with his disagreement, as it was obvious that nothing would cause her to agree, he sought to change the subject. The opportunity came as he spotted what the two were searching for; Rina's boot. "Could that be the very special shoe?" Taking the last few strides to the black object, he was able to retrieve it quickly, glad to see that it hadn't become tangled in the masses of grass and weeds. Returning to the sylph, Andrew presented it to her as a prize, showing a playful grin to go along with it.

Nodding to the man's response, Amelia took her own turn of glancing about the area. It was interestingly calming, if you were to forget about what happened that evening. Her moved from the scenery to her child as she tried to distract herself from the quiet. It was never a relaxing thing for the witch to be stuck in silence when she would much rather prefer talking and chatting. With the situation beginning to bother her, she came up with a question that would hopefully spark enough conversation to last until thier siblings returned. "Is your family very fond of babies? It was easy to tell that Rina was fond of young children, so her curiousity was enough to see if maybe she learned the behaviour from her brother.

The Gang Is All Here...

Glancing in the direction the girl pointed, the teacher raised a brow at the sight of a young man battling some... thing. He was about to speak to the girl when she brushed past him, an he immediately began to object. "I really can't leave you on your lonesome. I'd rather he not set my things on fire again." he told her, a worried gaze shifting back to the injured Troa. "But he does look worse for wear, so I will be back." he told her, trying very hard not to make it sound like a threat. Reaching into his coat, he pulled a shiny black object from it's depths. Quickly, he checked it's clip, looking pleased when he found it full. Checking his pockets, he found his spare clips. With this in hand, he glanced once at the girl, before taking off after Troa. When in range of the beasts that surrounded him, he slowed to a walk and raised his firearm; shots rang out as he fired upon the beasts, clearing himself a path to the injured janitor. The redhead rarely ever missed, and now was no exception; creatures fell left and right with small round holes in their vital points, and soon the drama teacher was able to make a beeline for the injured man. Standing so that he was in front of Troa, he changed his clip with surprising speed. The noise and effects of his weapon had temporarily set the beasts back and, with his weapon still raised, he glanced over his shoulder at the white haired man. "Time to go, pal."

Frowning at his response, the Sylph wonders just how serious he was; she really couldn't tell, and that worried her. At his shrug, her frown deepened but she bit back any comments made. Choosing instead to put her efforts into searching for her shoe, she spots it only a moment after her companion did. Her smile returned as he set out to retrieve, giggling quietly at the way he presented it. "Why thank you, good sir. However shall I repay you?" she joked, accepting it graciously. She wouldn't put it back on, as she didn't know how it would affect her injury, and instead chose to carry it. "Shall we rejoin our siblings and rescue them from their awkward conversation?" she asked, casting her brother a swift glance; he wasn't the most talkative of the siblings, but he got by. Rina hoped he wasn't going on about something that could be taken offensively; her brother had a habit of keeping a polite and friendly face no matter what he was saying, so it was hard to tell from here.

It seemed that Andrew's sister wasn't one for silences, and while Icarus didn't mind them, nor did he mind her attempts to fill it with various conversation starters. He perhaps needed to try harder to help this conversation blossom, just so he didn't leave an odd impression with this girl. It seemed his sister's shoe had been found, but he considered the question a moment anyway. "I think it would be more accurate to say that babies intrigue most Sylphs. Especially human babies, which are born much smaller and less developed than Sylphid children. They're much cuter when they can't make smart remarks after a year or so." he smiled politely, a hint of amusement on his features. He tapped his sword hilt absently, as if to make sure it was still there; he would have to clean it later, but for now he would leave it where it was; it might be taken poorly by the young mother if he drew his sword now.

Troa looked up as he heard shots being fired, closing his eyes and just relying on his ability to sense auras. When he heard the voice in front of him, he slammed his blade into the pool of blood that seemed to still want to follow him. A spike of frozen blood shot up from behind the teacher, quickly followed by more to create a wall. "I can sense a few more commin this way..." He said surprised at just how weak he sounded to himself. "Sorry for the hassle... hope I can still get my Christmas bonus." He added with a smirk, as he reshaped the blood blades in his arms to a pair of crutches for him to use. "Thanks for the save, seems like I'm gonna be buyin the whole school a drink at the rate this is goin." He added with a smirk, as he stood up with the help of the crutches. "Lead the way." He said, as some of the blood wrapped around his bare torso to cover his discolored scarred skin.

▬Yuri § Solotov▬

Yuri thanked Lillie for the water and took a small sip, feeling the cold liquid go down his throat smoothly, a good sign so far. When Lillie asked her question, he stayed silent for a moment and shook his head, that was a question he couldn't answer. "You...really think that he...is...?" He didn't want to finish the sentence, but looked up at Lillie, it didn't take a genius to figure out what he was asking. From what Yuri was told, Len was just badly wounded. Possibly on the brink of death, yes, but the elf still had doubts about him going past that line.

Hearing her question, Andrew chuckled in response as the boot was handed to it's owner. Turning around, a hand ran through his hair as he listened to her next question, a small nod accompanying his answer. "Yes, I think that would be the best choice." He knew his sister's unwillingness to stay silent for long periods of time would probably be a conflict to Icarus' quiet demenor. Not wanting to waste much time, he offered his arm with a smile; half of the purpose being gentlemanly, with the other being assistance to the injured sylph.

A small amount of relief was felt through Amelia as the sylph spoke enough for a response. Quickly though, the feeling was replaced with one of interest as she proccessed his statements. She'd honestly never thought of other race's children, so it was news to hear. "Really? I would have assumed that Sylphs would grow at a slower rate, since they live so long, I mean." Those were her thoughts, even if they'd only run across her mind in seconds.

The Gang Is All Here...

Relieved when the other man responded, as corpses couldn't respond, the redhead kept his firearm raised; he was keeping his guard as high as possible, to prevent surprise attacks. "No need to apologize. I'm simply picking up my idiot brother's slack. It's not like him to leave someone behind." just by looking, one could easily tell the two were related; their odd hair color was fairly uncommon, though their facial features were quite similar as well. "Ah, drinks. If you promise not to die, I'll call it even." he cast the other a swift glance, making sure he was ready before firing at one beast that dared wander too close; it fell to the ground, dead, and the redhead began to walk as quickly as he thought his companion could keep up.

Noting the almost relieved expression on the girl's face, it seemed to him that he had made to proper choice in properly responding. He smiled at her assumption, gently shaking his head. "The gestation period for Sylphs is a year, give or take, so it's a little longer than humans. This would take them past the development of human babies, but they develop very quickly outside the womb as well." he paused, as if considering a moment. "We reach full maturity around 25 years, this is both physically and mentally, but maturity wise we're still children until our first century." he smiled faintly, as if he enjoyed spreading his knowledge. The prince wondered if he sounded condescending, and while it was strictly on accident, he couldn't say for sure. "We grow quickly from birth until about six, after which we slow considerably."

Accepting his arm with the slightest bit of wariness on her features, she allows him to help her back to where there siblings stood; she leaned on him a bit more than normal, though hoped he wouldn't say anything about it. She didn't need his help, but maybe he'd relax a little if she allowed him to help her. She wondered if Andrew really would sit on her, should she want to get up and do something, though sincerely wished he had only been joking; sitting about for extended periods of time made her restless, and it was because of this that she had ended up wandering for so long. As they approached their siblings, she frowned faintly as the sound of her brother's voice drifted over. "Poor Amelia. That's his teaching voice." it was obvious she knew such from experience, having received many lectures herself.

So Many Characters In One Place...

Walking with the princess, Andrew spared occasional glances to Rina's face, becoming almost worried at the looks given. He had gotten so used to her more upbeat and clever expressions that he disliked seeing anything on a negative note. Afraid that he was contributing to such factors, he was about to ask what worried her when she spoke. Unsure if this was all that was making her upset, he listened anyway, and commented after another chuckle. "Oh, I doubt she'll mind. Ever since Lyn was born she feels that any sort of information should be taken very seriously."

With her attention now split between Lyndis and Icarus, she felt very little need to glance toward her brother. His words were taken well by the young witch, who had ecently begun to take lessons far more seriously. To think of an entire century passing and barely reaching complete adulthood was a curious fact, one that caused a comment. "So in reality, it evens out?"

The Gang Is All Here...

Obviously pleased that he was being listened to, very few people actually paid attention when he was being educational, the Sylph decided that Andrew's sister wasn't so bad at all. Smiling in a more friendly manner now, the Sylph relaxes slightly in the girl's presence. "I suppose it does, in a way." he considered this thought, about evening out, as he had never really thought about it before. "I am not the best person to ask when comparing humans and Sylphs. To be honest, I have only ever met half humans before I came here." he didn't look at all ashamed of the fact, as it wasn't really his fault; it was hard to meet anyone when one was locked up and forced to study. He glanced up as his sister and Andrew approached, his smile fading as he inspected his sister's face. "You should allow me to carry you." he tells her, his tone flat and serious.

"That's good. Ix tends to be offended when people brush off his mini lectures." she smiled faintly, as if amused, though her expression was still tight. The pain in her ankle was terrible with all this walking on it, but she was never going to admit it. As they drew closer to their siblings, the princess was relieved when they came to a stop not far from where they had moved from originally. Her expression became suspicious as she noticed the look on her brother's face, and a faint blush colored her cheeks; whether from rage or embarrassment was hard to tell. "Not on your life." she tells him, her tone low in hopes that the Calius wouldn't hear her. She would not allow her brother to look down on her, and she was sure the only reason he was offering was to seem like a nice guy. He usually was a generally nice guy, but Rina had been embarrassed by his little pranks one too many times.

His eyes narrowed at her retort, and his hands rested in his pockets. "You are in pain." his tone was edging towards harsh, though worry was evident in his eyes. "Enough with the bravado. You are not impressing anyone." he continued, speaking in their traditional language, hoping that speaking in a language the Calius could not understand would make her less angry. It changed nothing, as her look was as dark and dangerous as ever. Briefly, he was glad that they weren't alone, for surely his darling baby sister would punch him for accusing her of such.

Lillie nodded. She really did think that he had kicked the bucket. It didn't even take a genius like her to tell that. "I know where I stabbed him. It isn't the best spot when it comes to survival. I studied the body when I started to make potions. I wanted to understand what in each spot and what veins were there." She answered Yuri.

Troa let out a whistle when he saw the beast drop, sighing a little. "Remind me to stay on your good side..." He said with a smirk. "I think between you and the dragon, I'll take the dragon again." He added with a grin. "And don't be too hard on your brother... I kinda didn't even let him have the chance to not leave me behind..." He added with a sigh. "I am so askin for a raise if I live through this... the fightin aside, this is gonna be one hell of a pain in the a** to clean up after. I mean myself alone, that blood stain back there is gonna probably stay for a good few months." He added with a sigh.

The Gang Is All Here...

Smirking in response to the other man's comments, the redhead simply nods to show he was paying attention. "I suppose I'll keep the berating short, then." he joked, sweeping the area in front of him carefully; occasionally he would turn, to ensure that the back end was covered as well. "My heart figuratively bleeds for you. I'm so glad clean up wasn't in my job description." which meant he would fight any attempts to force him to clean. Firing once at a strange creature in the air he found suspicious, he watched it carefully until it hit the ground and ceased to move. He felt better about shooting things now, with most of the people who had been around earlier long gone or at least out of the way. "I think the events that have transpired tonight will carry on in a far more permanent way than blood spilled." there was a strange note in his voice as he spoke, but he didn't stop in his constant movements to ensure the path was clear for the injured janitor.

Maiara nearly flinched once Cam's brother took out the firearm, beginning to shoot expertly right and left as he made his way to the janitor. While she was relieved he had left her by herself, she couldn't help but dislike the weapon; it seemed very unnatural. The first time she encountered one, it made her hairs stand on end as she felt the cold surface; it was almost like the metal swords and axes she had seen others use. But to each his own, she supposed. Obviously not waiting for the men to get back, she continued to trudge on, ignoring the growing effects of the poison. Her senses felt dulled, as she could barely smell her old scent as Maiara was trying to follow it back to the school one painful step after another. She was not worried about the monsters, as they were mostly fleeing and not too interested in her, which did bring her relief, as she knew animals, especially predators, went for the weaker in the pack. These monsters, however, were not normal animals, so she could only guess at their behavior. At this point, she could only ask the spirits to watch over Cam and the white haired janitor as she wearily kept going, the school finally barely in sight.

Troa sighed, but nodded his head as he kept moving. "Trust me, this was supposed to be a temp job... so much for that." He said with a sigh. Moving along, he glanced at the man every now and then as he shot his firearm. Thoroughly impressed with the man's skill, as the pack of monsters was steadily thinning out. "We're gonna need to get somewhere soon... I need rest, and I'm sure you can't afford to babysit my a** for very long either." He added with a sigh, though frowned at the man's next statement. "True enough..." Was all he said, and left it at that. "I'm gonna need a drink after today... and I'm so demanding a raise." He muttered again, at this point just trying to keep himself awake. With how weak he was, if he fell asleep it wouldn't be a good thing.
