He ducked, he side stepped, then he cart wheeled in the air to the side. While he hit all of his targets, the spiders were able to reach the ground, substantially pissed that they had a ki forged shuriken stuck in their faces. Jack figured that they must have taken after the jumping spider strains because now they were jumping all over the place like jumping beans. With no ki weapons left in his hands, all he could do was dodge. "Persistent bastards", he would admit out loud. While he was dodging however, he became acutely aware of a rather strong tremor beneath his feet, and after dodging yet another spider by ducking, he viewed the forest leaves shaking harshly, a tree falling in the distance. Something was coming, and he didn't want to be on the floor when it came. He looked up into the trees....he spotted a...*whoosh*! Jack ducked, a spider had almost jumped on him. But the spider along with the others climbed back into the trees, they were running away from something, something big. No time to think, he spotted a tree that no spiders went in and hid behind it, meanwhile summoning up a ki made bow and arrow, with an arrow drawn on the string. Whatever was coming, he would be ready, and be ready with a stealth attack. Though his eyes darted from place to place to make sure no little spiders were sneaking up on him. He was not going to be a spiders easy meal.

There was a sudden silence, almost like a calm before the storm. Which was exactly what it was, when suddenly a leg the size of a regular tree would come out of the forest. There it was, the spider Enkidu spoke about, nearly the size of a house and it's fangs were practically seeping with the acid venom. Maybe If Jack could get a fang his test would be over, but it was the difficult task of getting one. The Spider was on high alert, looking for the trespasser on is land.

Jack peaked around the side of the tree, and practically whistled in his head. That was a big spider, however this one's fangs were more exposed than the others. Now to find a way to get it. Jack figured he had two options, one was to attempt to kill it, and then other was to attempt to either cut or break the fang off while it was alive. Neither was to appealing, and neither would be very easy. Still, he had to pick one. However, in a fit of abnormal behavior, Jack was undescisive, so he decided to keep his options open. Using more energy, Jack summoned three arrows on the string and pulled both of them back. Peaking around the corner of the tree he aimed directly at the spiders eyes. Jack figured that the pain would distract the spider long enough for him to get close. Letting loose the arrows, the arrows would most likely find their mark as Jack shot from the spider's blind spot. As soon as the spider would reel back in pain, Jack would know it was time to set whatever plan he could cook up in motion.

Jack was lucky to catch the spider off guard, the three arrows would hit it's eye causing acidic blood to squirt out a bit. The spider would turn to Jack's location and screech. A loud gurgle could be heard from the spider as it got ready to spray it's acid venom at Jack. Almost as soon as the gurgling stopped it would spray it's acid venom, the venom would fall down like acid rain, damaging trees and anything that would step out into the open. It would then bring it's leg up to push the tree Jack was currently behind over top of him.

The arrows hit with success, and as planned the spider reeled back in agony, preparing some kind attack of some sort. But as the spider gurgled, Jack ran towards the spider with the speed of a demon. With the spider's head pointing towards the air, it's fangs were immediately exposed, creating the chance Jack was looking for in the first place when he shot those arrows. As he got closer, the spider shot the acid into the air, and immediately he knew there was no turning back. The trees were simple to far to get there without taking damage from the acid, no...there was only one place to go. Under the spider. Which was fine considering since the spider was shooting acid, it's fangs were extremely exposed, so finally once he got into range, Jack had summoned up 2 Hatchet's in each hand, and used 1 Hatchet to throw at the fang in an accurate fashion. The way he threw the Hatchet ensured that it would cut the fang off , and as the fang would fall, Jack would be under it in time to catch it. The other hatchet was primed and ready for the inevitable counter attack, as he was sure the spider wouldn't be to keen one him cutting off it's fang and using it's body for shelter against it's own acid.

As the fang feel from being cut off and landed into his hands he would begin to feel the burning of the acid on his skin, the fang would be completely drenched in it. The Spider would then jump high in the air, almost as if it wasn't phased from losing it's fangs. Shortly after the spider would land making a tremor and a wave of wind push the trees back, sending all the spiders in the trees into the distance. The gurgling would start up again.

Jack would look down at the fang and realize that it to was covered in acid. No surprise there, but it was slightly bearable for a few seconds since he was wearing gloves. But it wouldn't be long before the acid ate through it completely. Luckily he had an empty sheathe made out of metal, normally it would be for his katana, but since that was gone, the sheathe would serve another purpose. Jack figured the metal casing would be able to keep the acid from burning it's way through. Or if it did, it would take some time to. But as Jack quickly threw the fang into his sheathe, he looked up and realized that the Spider had just jumped extremely high in the air, and immediately Jack ran away towards the trees. Luckily the first round of acid had finished falling so there was no worries about that. And as the spider landed Jack jumped, and he was completely shocked at the force that was created that not only threw him through the air, but it also pushed the trees back and scattered the smaller spiders through the air as well. However this was a good thing, the force that was created threw Jack away from the spider an extremely good distance, and when the force of the throw was done Jack landed on his feet, immediately running the opposite direction away from the spider. He heard loud gurgling in the background, and Jack smiled. The spider was taking time prepping up another attack instead of giving chase, which allowed Jack to create more distance between him and the spider. Still, he wondered how long the range was for the acid, and there still might be more little spiders around the area to deal with, so as he ran, Jack's eyes darted side to side, making sure there was no pursuers, stalkers, or ambushers.

As Jack attempted to get away the spider would jump in front of him with the power of its strong legs. It would land facing the way Jack was running, showing it's abdomen to Jack. Quickly webs would begin to shoot out at him, attempting to trap him or even just slow him down. The hunter was persistent.

Jack grimaced as the spider landed in front of him, his eyes widening as the spider prepped it's web attack. Jack knew enough about the anatomy of a spider to know what was going to happen here, so as the first webs were being spewed, Jack would use the speed of a technique he recently learned into practice. From that very spot Jack would disappear and then all of a sudden appear quickly flying directly over the spider, throwing the hatchet he had in his hands at the spider's eyes, once again stunning it long enough for Jack to get enough distance between him and the eight legged freak. As he ran, he summoned up yet another Bow and Arrow, hooking the string with at least three arrows should the idiot bug decide to give chase even more. Surely the spider would think that it wasn't worth losing more eyes over, but just in case it did, Jack would ensure that before this entire situation was over, the spider would have to learn to cope with no eyes. That is assuming the spider can't regenerate eyes over time. Either way, Jack continued his trek in the opposite direction from which he came, which would eventually exit him out of the jungle and onto the Hiking Trail.

Alma's efforts to search were met with little success. Whenever she spotted a flower, is wasn't exactly right...the center color was off, or both red and white were inverted, or the flower was filled with some kind of toxin...it certainly wasn't the easiest plant to find. Alma's limited success led her to a stream seperating two parts of the jungle, if she listened closely she would be able to hear the ringing of a bell...it seemed as though it were trying to guide her. Of course, she still had the option of following the stream in a different direction instead of listening to the bell.
