Luke got up and stretched a bit. He felt so stiff and sore for some reason. He went to his door and let Jethrow in. "I take it Anya is still sleeping?" he asked, not seeing the little faerie behind the wizard.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow nodded. "Thankfully, yes. Hopefully that'll give me time to get that antidote together. I just a need a way to have her drink it." He inspected Luke's expression and crossed his arms. "I take it you're rather worried about Lunora. What is it you said you needed to tell us?" Jethrow crossed his arms comfortably and raised a quizzical eyebrow. It had never struck him that there would be something about Lunora that he'd need to know. In fact, it had always been Luke he'd wondered about. He thought he had an unusual amount of control for a demon.

Luke let Jethrow into his room. "Please. Have a seat." he said, closing the door. Once Jethrow was settled he took his place back on the ottoman he had been sitting on. "Jethrow.... There is a reason that Lunora is not here right now, nor will be for the rest of the day." he said lowly, not wanting to speak of it. "It... It is her birthday today...." he said, knowing Jethrow already knew that. "But I neglected a detail of our past. On this day, Lunora's birthday, our mother died. In childbirth, with my sister." he said, not noticing a small tear escape the corner of one of his eyes. "And... for all these years, she has blamed herself for our mother's death and subsequent abandonment."

There is a love in me raging Alegria
Aveline walked slowly towards the front of a large castle. She had been wandering for almost a month now, and a luxurious night at a castle would mean the world to her. She must have entered some kingdom, or ruled domain. She had passed a number of man-made landmarks, but none were fit to stay a night comfortably. The soles of her boots clacked against the worn stone as she scaled the steps to the large front door. Wrapping her pale hand around the large, icy cold knocker, she mustered up the strength to move the heavy piece of iron, letting out a thunderous knock when it clashed back against the wood of the door. She only knocked once, having jumped back a bit, surprised by the noise of the knocker.

"I will have my revenge." Satisfied with the tear he'd created, Demetri took a step back, crossing his arms and smirking. "I'll need a disguise," he thought to himself. Contemplating for a moment, he waved his hand, bringing the silver looking-pool back to him. He looked into the swirling liquid and saw that the castle had already admitted two guests, and there was yet another newcomer standing before the door. She looks kind-hearted enough, he thought to himself, pushing the pool away from himself and closing his eyes. As demonstrated on Jethrow, the wizard was quite adept at transformations. Soon, he could feel himself shrinking, and his clothes became baggy around him. He looked at his hands and smiled, satisfied. He'd turned himself into a perfectly innocent looking little boy He waved his hand and shrunk his clothes, before leaning forward into the portal he'd created. It wasn't long before the smell of the forest filled his nose and he opened his eyes, pushing his long hair from his face. "I'll have to run," he said to himself, wrinkling his nose at the small sound that produced. Quickly, he pulled himself up to his feet, though he still felt he were only kneeling on the ground. Shaking his head, he quickly began to sprint as fast as his midget legs would take him towards the castle. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow nodded from where he sat and he sighed a little. "I would expect as much from a stubborn, fierce-minded girl like her," he said, sounding more like the older Jethrow than he had yet. "With something like this, you cannot talk Lunora out of believing she was the cause of... your mother's death. She won't believe it until she's proven wrong," he said quietly. "She's made it this far with this burden," Jethrow said, standing and silently walking over to stand before Luke. "I have a feeling your sister's not giving up anytime soon." The sound of the knocker on the front door rang out and Jethrow raised an eyebrow. Another visitor? I wonder what this could mean.

Luke wiped his tears, nodding as he looked up at Jethrow before looking towards his door at the sound of the knocker. "I'll go let them in." the wolf said, getting to his feet and going to his door. "Could you track down my sister? I really want to know where she is." he murmured, soon heading off to the front door.
After a long walk he came to the door and opened it, finding a girl there. His red fuzzy wolf ears perked as he looked to her curiously. "Yes, may I help you?"

There is a love in me raging Alegria
Aveline jumped when the door opened. She had started to daydream, staring at her surroundings. Looking at the open doorway, she met someone, seemingly a guy. A wolf person, wonderful. She had spent many days in training hunting wolves, and now she was going to be staying with one for the night. Call that ironic. She gripped the sides of her skirt and cleared her throat. "Oh, uh, hi. My name is Aveline. I was wondering if you would be so kind as to let me stay here the night. You see, I am a traveler, or a nomad, if you wish, and I was in the area, and really don't want to sleep outside tonight. Do you perhaps have a room I could stay in?" she asked. Why on earth did she say all of that? Was she planning on telling her life story? No. All she had to say was 'I'm traveling through the area and was wondering if you had a room I could use for the night.' But noooooo. Her mouth has to start running and never stop. If she was going to stay 'invisible', then she was really going to have to stop talking to people so much.

Luke looked at her for a moment, one ear flopping down a little. "Sure. I'm sure we have a room available for travelers such as yourself." he said, moving aside to let her in. "Is there anyone else with you?"

Aveline shook her head no. Of course there wasn't. She had run away those years ago, so why on earth would she risk taking someone with her? Still, he wouldn't have known that, so he did have to ask. She slowly walked into the castle, passing the person. Her face remained still, but her eyes filled with wonder as she saw the grand interior of the place. Never in her life had she beheld something such as this. Well, her parents lived like this, definitely. But they were heartless and ignorant people who left their deadly gifted child to a war camp to ruin her life time after time. But it was enough to dwell on the past, and she was only staying here one night right? Going into the middle of the room, she stopped and looked back at the person who greeted her. "Do I just go up and find a room? Or shall you lead me to it?" There might be certain protocol for staying at a place like this, so she might as well ask.

Luke closed the heavy door and looked back at her. "I will lead you to a room." he said, locking the door and going in front of her to a set of stairs. "Please follow me."

Aveline nodded, again gripping her skirt. She quickly followed the person to the stairs. Her boots again clacked as they went up the steps. She had been traveling for months, and yet her clothing was still as impeccably clean as always. Especially her shoes. That was just her way of doing things. Every spot of dirt was eradicated. As they climbed the stairs, she looked around, amazed at the architecture and grandeur of the place. Without knowing, she began to sing softly, just a sort of single syllable through a number of notes to a tune. As she sang, the air became a bit heavy with magic. It only took her a couple of seconds to realize what she was doing, and quickly stopped. The magical, sweet-sounding voice disappeared, and she looked down, muttering and scolding herself.

Luke listened to Aveline sing softly, and suddenly stop. He didn't glance back at her, but he sighed. "I don't mind. You can sing if you wish."

Aveline jerked her head up to the person leading her. She bit her lip and then looked back down. "Oh. No. I really shouldn't be singing. I just wasn't paying attention. My voice is dangerous. It has power I can't control, so I just don't sing." she said. She might as well tell him that she shouldn't or he might start encouraging her. Thoughts and memories raced around in her head, none of which were very pleasant.

Luke gave an uncaring shrug as he soon stopped at a guest room. He opened the door for her and showed her the room. "You may stay here for as long as you wish." he said. "You may call on one of the maids if you need anything." he muttered routinely, before heading back to his room without another word.

Aveline nodded in thanks to the person. She walked into the room and closed the door behind her. It was a simple room. The linens a light blue, and the furniture a light-toned wood. She spun slowly as she looked around. A small smile spread across her face as she ran her hand along the bedsheets. It had been a very very long time since she had slept in a real bed. Not since her training days. And even those beds weren't very comfortable. She sat down on the bed and unlaced her boots, revealing her white tights. She laid back on the bed, and crossed her legs. It was nice to finally relax. She wondered how many other people were in the castle, but was too at rest to care at the moment.
