After a rather unforntunate incident involving the owner of the home in which we are staying in, the place she had an accident at is willing to immediately settle for her injury, which would be a sum far greater than what is needed for her healing and to save the home. The hook here is whether or not she can get that money in the next ~ 23 days ish.

Evijan and Zack both appeared on each of Nalini’s sides. The elder vampire looked from one to the other, taken aback by how fast they had appeared. Before she could do anything, Zack went for her. He sunk his teeth down into her arm, causing her to howl in pain. He funnelled DRK into the wound, not aiming to infect, but to add salt to the wound. On her other side, the hybrid exhaled a lungful of fire. Nalini dodged, ripping herself free from her son, and pulled back a hand to attack. Evijan grasped a hold of it, and twisted the limb painfully around her back. She still tried to force it further, even when the limitations of Nalini’s skeleton prevented her arm to be raised much higher; it seemed Evijan was aiming to snap the bone. Zack shrouded the three of them in a dome of DRK, which immediately caused Nalini to hurl her head back.
She caught the hybrid straight in the face, and fluoresced with LGHT, but the effects of it had been dampened somewhat in the dome. Zack delivered a DRK punch to the throat, leaving a trace of NRGY on her, which seared her skin. She clawed at it, gritting her teeth and trying not to yell out; she did not want to give the pair the satisfaction of knowing just how much Zack’s assault had hurt, was still hurting.
Kicking his mother in the stomach, Zack snatched a hold at the back of her shirt. He lifted it up, revealing her badly scarred back, knocking Nalini down to her knees. With a malicious grin, Evijan spat out more fire, hitting her target head on.
Finally, Nalini screamed as she felt the oh-so-familiar sensation of burning on her flesh. She writhed, her chest tightening with terror, as Zack felled her with one swift kick to the backs of her ankles.
The fire ceased, Evijan sucking in another deep breath. She felt like her lungs were going to collapse with how much air she had exhaled. A small cloud of smoke floated out of her nostrils. Nalini furiously wrestled, her hands thumping any part of her son that she could reach. Zack was taking the hits remarkably well, and when he finally retaliated, he stood up, and stamped on her face. The elder vampire’s forehead exploded with pain, as she tried to shoot off a jet of LGHT. It failed, however, as she shrieked; more fire had just skimmed across her head, missing her by millimetres.
Grasping hold of the front of her shirt, Nalini was lifted up slightly, no longer lying on the ground. Zack’s hand formed a DRK infused fist, which he smashed into her chest and stomach several times, each punch leaving a deep purple mark on her charred body. Thinking that she had been beaten enough, the dome was lowered.
