Cinder was sitting quietly in main room of the castle with his talons up on a foot rest. He seemed to be trying to simply relax and recover some, he was breathing heavily and there was still sweat on his brow. His eyes were closed but it was fairly obvious that he was still awake.

Rune blinked over at the odd creature lounging nearby and quirked her head to the side curiously. "Interesting..." She crept over to him warily, and peering with interest at his features. It was unusual for her to find a creature she was unfamiliar with, so it was understandable that she overlooked the fact that he was conscious.

Cinder's head rocks to one side and he sighs heavily before his eyes open and he sits up just a little. His eyes fall on the other in the room and he freezes, not even moving, his mouth open just a little as if he's about to say something. After a moment he speaks Ummm... Hello? Even though his lips moved, the rest of him remained stone still.

Rune jerked back slightly when the man's eyes opened and she pressed her fingertips to her lips, holding back a smile. "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't think you were awake. I was just curious - I've never come across a creature like you before."

Cinder hesitates a moment before responding That doesn't really surprise me. My... kind weren't really born. We were manufactured. He scratches the back of his head with a slightly crooked smile. Though I'm really not sure how many of us have really survived till this point or even really when it happened to me. Errr... after having been through what I have details of the past get... um... fuzzy. sweatdrop

"Oh! Excuse my curiosity, I didn't mean to bring up bad memories." She gave an apologetic smile and a small bow - rather odd considering her mode of dress. "And my manners are terrible in another respect as well - I haven't introduced myself. My name is Rune - yours?"

He smiles back to her and nods I'm Cinder... But don't worry about it, you didn't know. Besides, a big part of why I'm here is to work with Ontaros to better control those memories... I... sorta have flash backs that tend to get me in trouble, so to speak. And you really dont have to worry about it, we weren't exactly given time to become friends so... he shrugs All I'm really worried about is surviving myself you know?

"I suppose I do." She smiled slightly, then looked back around the room a bit. "Um... say, you wouldn't happen to know where a girl could get a bit to eat, would you?"

All Cinder needed to do was point at a table nearby with a bit of parchment and a quill Just write down what you want and the food will come to you. Drinks work the same way as well if you're thirsty... Actually thinking about it I'm a little thirsty. The only question is, what to drink? He half smiles as he thinks about his choice.

"Hmmm..." Rune moved over to the table to pick up the quill, resting the tip on her lower lip as she thought (force of habit) before pressing the pen to the parchment and writing down a couple things - asking for a small portion of steak and an equally small salad of cucumbers, radishes, cantaloupe and raspberry vinegar. "Now what?" She asked, looking back at Cinder as she replaced the paper and quill.

Cinder taps his fingers a few times and then points at the doors behind Rune Now you eat. He smiles and as she turns around she sees her request sitting on a platter simply hovering in mid air. Not too far behind it was a smaller serving plate carrying a glass of red wine which made its way to Cinder. He takes it and sips lightly on it before placing it on a table near him.

Rune smiled softly and took her plate from where it was hovering, settling herself down at the counter and beginning to cut into her steak. It was quite well prepared, and the fruit and vegetables in her salad was all quite fresh. Not half bad.

After Rune gets a little bit into her meal Cinder decides to venture a question So... how long have you been here? He knew it was pretty straight forward but he also had accepted by this time that he was socially awkward and there wasn't much that could be done at this point.

Sere slowly opens her eyes to a door and frame in front of her that seemed to be standing all my herself. She tilted her head in confusion as her tail flicked back and forth trying to make sense of such an oddity. Walking around the door she noticed a dial on the side but nothing else out of the ordinary. Nothing out of place was sensed nor smelled like trouble so she decided to go through it.

As Sere passed through the door and shut it behind her, Ontaros appeared behind her, sitting atop the door frame she'd just come from. He throws his arms wide open and practically shouts "Welcome! I'm so happy to see you could make it my dear." He wore a warm smile on his face "Come in come in, have a seat and relax a little bit, tell me about yourself... hell about anything!" He dropped from the door frame and walked towards the furniture gesturing towards the chairs and various tables, all the while looking quite pleased with her presence.
