Isis47470 mmmm cinnamon roles...:drools: I am eating a cup-o-soup reading the bug discussion. 4laugh Huzaah for lunch ! Even having the one squad of termegaunts, he should have used "without number". That has to be the most broken, awsome, usefull thing the tyranids have. It's like the improved version of "well be back" Of corse this depends on if the gaunts where greater then 8 points in value. neutral I thought if it was 10 pts. or higher you couldn't take it.

Nope codex says "Any brood of Gaunts with a cost of 8 points or less per model may be given the Without number special rule at +3 points per model." At that point each gaunt totals 10 points per model, otherwise if it where at 10 points they would cost the same as a Marine Scout.

FLCLfan89 jeoc FLCLfan89 jeoc I just got done making a pile of smoking and crushed chitin. My best kill rate was having an entire squad of termagaunts try to death or glory a land raider. they all died as is predictable. termagaunts or hormagaunts? termagaunts are the guys with the guns...if so why didn't the opponant take the without number speical rule? It was the single squad of gun armed beasties without "without number". next time you see him walk right up to him and smack him in the face (or back-hand whatever you prefer) I don't care what he says I'm a n00b and I even know to take without number when fielding the termagaunts +3pts. to each model is so inexpensive for somthing like that the opponant may get victory points but you have a new unit fresh and ready to go... he ran out of points. It was minimium sized already and everything else was maxed out in points. And looking at the list again it was spine gaunts.

Yes, i play both. Im currently working on doing my Chaos, since it needs more work then my Tau.

FLCLfan89 what the f*** did he spend it on? maxed out? was he running 4 carnifex's? Zoanthropes, maxed out genestealers, maxed out hive tyrant with guards could be also be possibilities too. Besides who's to say he didn't find them helpful in his strategy? After all, they come back on the feild from your own board edge correct? Not always the most helpful thing if they are 2 turns or a turn and a half away from the enemy where there guns aren't in range. Or he may have some kind of tactical use that required the X amount points that could have been spent on without number. For those who don't know BTW I have my nearly finished Avatar up in the painting and modelling section. Along with my wave serpent pilt taken with a macro lens. (those are a really detailled lens for taking pictures of small things for those who dont know. It's a really cool lens. mrgreen ) Quote: Yes, i play both.
