*He was slightly caught off guard by the idea, but he just grinned lightly* I understand. You seeks to make the citadel more secure. The core, the "Heart," of the citadel draws upon power created by paradox. The Heart is a mass of multiple types of magical energies, each with an opposing counterpart. Normally when two such powers collide they will erupt violently for a time depending on the amount of energy, before cancelling each other's existence. The Heart keeps a neutral energy between opposing forces, thus allowing there to be a rupture as both powers are drawn to each other. The power created by two opposing forces is much greater than that produced by the magic alone. Any two opposing magics will work..... but they must be balanced. *He closes his eyes for a moment* I have no objection to your request to add to it, however.

Then I will have to learn how to cast magic of two opposing elements, at the same time I suppose. I know it won't be easy, the book has told me that much. Zio also told me that you would help to balance out the power when I sent the energies aswell.

*He nods* Pardoxal power is the main source of power for the Heart.... but any energy can suffice. If you wish to contribute the most power to it possible.... then two opposing forces are the most effective means. *he nods again* Indeed.... I will be certain that any energy transferred is equal in amount. I also have to increase the amount of neutral energy to keep the two apart. The procedure sounds daunting, but it is much more simple than it sounds.

Hmm... then I will begin practicing as soon as I am able. You told me earlier on, a month back or so... that there were designated areas where I could practice my magic freely...? I'll have to find one of those places.

*He chuckles* Of course. Tere are training grounds in each of the four secondary towers, or you may practice on the abandoned structures scattered throughout the citadel

::He walked in, and walked over to his building. It was empty now, and he boarded up the doors to the next door building as well. He would convert it into one building if he could find the tools, and have some of his mercs work on it. If mastema allowed. He then went up to the top floor, and rested in a dark corner::
Got to ask Slayer for tools... tomarrow...

*Mastema's right arm was now around the back of Nana's waist, while his left came across both him and Nana, resting on the hand that rested on the book. He still kept his face close to hers after the kiss. His eyes were half lidden rather than closed now*
