2Brolly4 LCLpuddle Have you tried running the scans in Safe Mode and with System Restore disabled? No, but I'll do that now. ...How do you get into "safe mode" with XP? I know with 98 or something you push F8 during the start up, but I've never seen any message with XP saying "push F8 to enter safe mode". Yeah, it's F8. I'm not sure of the exact point, so just keep mashing it til something happens. Miz>> WTF gonk

Well I can't smash F8 right now, because I don't know if safe mode would ignore the entry password, and my parents are asleep and my sister is watching a movie and wouldn't get up to do it even if she wasn't watching a movie.
