My parents are convinced that if I find myself emursed in religion, that I will drink poison wine from a cup, after indulging in strange sexual activites and giving all my possessions to the church, abandoning my family for insanity, and die a horrible, horrible death.
Mom was raised catholic, dad protestant....you might think they'd be a little more fogiving than that.
*shrug* Talking bout religion is okay, but people tend to get defensive and offensive, and don't usually say anything that i haven't heard before.

yeah, i've always found that you have to be very careful who you speak with about religion. That and politics are the things people get very upset/preachy about.
My mother once watched a program about cults in local high schools, and for about a month she was constantly on my case about who i was hanging out with and wether they asked for my money or posessions. I found it kinda amusing.

What i found amusing was Mothers Agianst Dungeons And Dragons.
Delusion is created by the individual, a failing of self.
Anything can take that delusion and expand it.

I haven't heard of that group. I know there was a group against Magic:the Gathering and majorly against Harry Potter. So many people burned Harry Potter. Such a waste of paper, buying a book to burn it. Silly really.

Traditionally when you burn books, you don't buy them first.
You take the book, and burn the book. No buying phase.
Jezuz Crist, when will these newbie anarchists learn...

You steal the book and then burn it? Wouldn't that be against those good values, which is the reason they are burning the book in the first place, becuase it destroys family values and what not??

I don't really mind the burnign harry potter, I disliked the series. in fact I stopped reading after the second one. but I dislike that the pope and such talk about it like dear god, if they read those books or play those games they are going to become satanists and want to butcher everyone else for human sacrifices and have wild orgies and dance naked in teh streets..
adn then they call the people who play the games 'out of touch with reality'

I know, whats wrong with orgies? I mean...come on, who doesn't want to have mad hot sex once in a while.
Sorry, totally kidding.
But anyway, I kinda understand the pope, becuase hes pope for a reason, he is the leader. It the people who takejustice into their own hands that i'm more afraid of.

I would prefer mad hot sex in a place that did no include multitudes of other people, thank you. I'm self concious.
But seriously, I dislike the pope. And that's all I'll say on the subject.
