Hello everyone. Thank you for letting me join.

After looking at some of you guys' characters, I'm a little overwhelmed about making my own, hah. But I should have him up within a week.

I'm a little confused as to how "the system" works around here. It seems kind of like everyone is in one "big RP" but kind of doing their own thing in smaller groups throughout. Granted, I haven't actually read through any of the RP forums yet. >.>

Also, seems like this guild is pretty focused on Oblivion RP, using skills, items, magic from Oblivion and so on... does this mean there's no spears, crossbows, throwing weapons, unarmored, and some other things that were taken out of Morrowind? What about dual wielding weapons, sword and spell, or that sort of thing as seen in Skyrim? I'm sure I'm not the first person to ask this or bring it up, but I didn't see it in the FAQ and this guild has a lot of pages to read through.

Welcome you two!

And as for Sadist's question, don't quote me on this, but l'm pretty sure we can use a spear or crossbow if you just use the stats from a regular Iron Bow for a Iron Crossbow. It's more just aesthetics then anything else (minus the reload time), same goes for a spear but use a two handed weapon for it. Though l do know we can dual wield since most of the RPs l've been in someone did and no one really called them out or bitched about it.

We do have thrown weapons because you just throw your weapon. Though it's best to just throw a dagger or something since why throw a two-handed sword that weighs 45 pounds. lt'd be a lot easier to just throw a dagger.

There is no system currently for ''overcharged'' spells if you dual wield them though.

And as for unarmored, well, that just seems silly to me and always did. The more you wear clothes the better you are at taking hits? A sword should always be able to cut through clothes no matter how long you've been wearing them. Just my thought though.

Welcome welcome. =) The way things work around here is that there is no one 'big rp', there are quests that various people join and roleplay in together. Anyone can create a quest as long as they follow the guidelines for doing so. All quests, active, incomplete, or complete are located in the 'quests' subforum as a starting point. All those quests link to the actual roleplay threads that are scattered in the various location subforums.

This guild IS pretty focused on oblivion, it is in essence, an oblivion guild. That being said with the release of skyrim certain things might be a bit more flexible. Dual wielding for example was not used in Oblivion, but we have allowed it to be an option, as with throwing knives or daggers, even before the release of skryim. I personally have never played morrowind, but if 'unarmored' is what muffin said it was, then that doesn't really make sense to me and I don't really think it's something that should be used. That being said, players can customize weapons and armour as far as aesthetic appeal, but the actual types, steel, leather ect are expected to match the ones available in oblivion.(In the case your character had very original looking armor or weapon of course we would want some sort of small backstory in the bio explaining why) Granted with the recent release of Skyrim, there may be a bit of leeway in various aspects. I personally have no problem with spears, crossbow, ect as long as they are similar enough to match skills/items in oblivion.

So first time working in like five months and much to my expectations: it sucked and was boring as all hell. l couldn't listen to my ipod and some drunk guy came in screaming for a lighter, l gave him a pack of matches and lold with my co-workers. Also got to have lunch/dinner with my buddy Bryan and have a cigarette with him before we returned to work. Those were the only two high lights. Other than that it, working in a pharmacy sucks. l miss night crew.

Though on the drive back home l flipped my ipod onto shuffle and my favorite song in the entire world came on ever since l was like... 14? So it made everything all better, the drive home was awesome.

I was going to post for Marlones today, but this week was a little rough and now its finally over. Huge deadlines at work AND finals at school is the stuff of nightmares. Like I said, though, it's finally over and I may be a little inebriated in celebration... Uhm... yea....

SO ANYWAY Post for Marlones, GMB, and Skyrim CYOA TOMORROW. I wasn't expecting to be delayed so long.

For the new people; WELCOME. Once you get to know the system and set up your characters, it's pretty simple. Just like a normal RP, in fact, except the gear and stuff is more realistic and everyone isn't stupidly overpowered.

For the people waiting for my post; sorry again about the delay...

Thanks for finally getting that post of Marlones up, that being said, I hope you don't mind too much if I post again for Bandits since its taking you quite a while and I'd like to wrap things up this month if possible. Also I believe Nerevar is waiting for a post from Mora in the Goblin King before he can post again. I think that is almost a month in the waiting....but I do understand that Skyrim came out about that time so just do your best.

Yeah, I'm really sorry sad The past couple weeks have been harder on me than I anticipated. I keep meaning to get on and post but then something happens in between and the next thing I know its a few days later and I remember that I should have posted. And it's not just on Gaia. I've been losing quite a bit of my short-term memory recently. That, and I have some sort of horrible cold and am so dead tired all the time. I guess thats what stress does to me.

So I'll take a nap and hopefully get some posting done later tonight. If I don't have another extended derp. Thankfully school is over and work should get better now.

For some reason I didn't realize that Papa and Muffin hadn't posted yet for The Goblin King so I'll hold off on that until they do so - i'm guessing you had a good rest since you didn't get any posties up- i'm sorry you haven't been feeling well and it might seem like i'm nagging about posts - i'm just trying to keep things as active as possible! I can wait till friday to post for bandits.....so that gives you today and tomorrow to post for it. I'd rather not skip you since we are very close to the end of the quest. (I don't know if you read dusky's last post, but she took out the last baddie) So I think Emane wanted to retrieve Shinji's body or something but other then that they should just have to reassess, exit the ayleid ruin and viola!

As far as I am concerned about the guild as a whole - activity isn't where it should be. We were a little slow before, but skyrim came out and things slowed down, which I understand but we need to keep plugging away. Our inactivity I imagine is quite distasteful to potential members, and even our newest members.

My last final is tomorrow.
Upon which I should at least be able to post until Goblin King is finished~

After a short Gaia hiatus... I think I may be back. This weekend I'm going to look over my character and probably do some tweaking. Then find a thread to terrorize. biggrin
