Camwen Exxos Camwen I've never seen a scorpion outside of a glass enclosure. I guess I've never lived anywhere where they naturally hang out. I'm a northerner I suppose... Iguanas are cool. Super-chill iguanas seem even cooler. lol I had to look up Springs Preserve. razz Yeah, you have to go out into the basins in OR and WA to find the bulk of your scorpion species. If memory serves there is a type of wood scorpion endemic to the zone from Portland up through the south Puget Sound, but it's a teency thing all of 2cm long, scrawny and dark. So even if you were sifting through the leaf litter in the forests they'd be hard to see. Huh.. that actually sounds pretty cool. I'd like to see one - from a safe distance of course. I'm not about to cuddle one. So looking into it, the earthly heatings has apparently extended the range of Uroctonus mordax up through there too. So yeah, you've got 10cm battlescorpyuns up there now.

Still... yikes

I love how dozens of parts of Gaia are just outright broken. Then they come up with this make your own subscription thing with a bunch of junk ideas.
How about if they want people to give them money, they make the site functional? That's going to be the biggest reason people will give you money, if your product sort of actually works.
I don't need a persona. I need the site to be usable without crashing my browser, I need links to actually work, I need the games to be overhauled, I need post-flash compliance in progress, and I need gaia to go back to being driven by maximum profits instead of this idiotic silicon valley focus on per-unit income rather than total income.

Yeah.. *sigh* This site is just icky now. It used to have more of a community feel to it. Now you're just bombarded with various ways to pay for things. I hate to be one of those people that are all *get off my lawn - the good ole days were so much better* but in this case it's sooo true. This site has turned into one big pop up ad.

I probably would have left if it was not for two things:
1. I vowed to ride this site down as it burned.
2. I have severe obsessiveness problems and coming in every day to try to collect everything has become wired into my comfortable routines. If I forget to do it, I forget other things and the next thing you know the mail has not been retrieved for a week and the house is on fire. rofl

I wish they allowed this tree decorating event to have a guild variant.
Imagine a huge tree, 1200px tall on a dedicated guild sub-page and as we post in our guild pages, we get ornaments for it. Maybe a special bobblehead ornament (their avatar at the time shrunken down with a big ole' noggin') of each guild member when they reach 500 posts they could throw up on there too.

Camwen Stay safe out there! Exxos- I worry about you especially due to your medical battles. ((((virtual, virus-free hugs)))) I was in the hospital February 14th through 17th (kidney stone and a psych breakdown) and now two coronavirus cases are in the same hospital. Every time I sputter and cough, I freak out a little. rofl Apart from urologist rechecks and a trip to Lowe's for some plumbing parts for a repair, I am trying to stay wholly secluded.

Yeah good plan! My husband is now working from home (we're lucky that he has that option) and my daughter's school is closed. My son's college is adding an extra week to Spring Break. Guess we'll see what the next week brings... Crazy times man..

Guess we'll see what the next week brings... Crazy times man.. I am wondering if it gets really bad, if it will trigger a demographic and political shift. First, people aged 20-30 are 10x more likely to be asymptomatic carriers that never go symptomatic. Second, people aged 20-45 are being rendered sterile by it. Third, people over 60 are much more likely to die from it. Imagine what the country would be like with another lost generation, a lag in repopulation until young children now are propagating, and a sizable dent to the elderly that vote more often and more conservatively. Though I admit I am a little stressed because the panic buying is reaching fever pitch here and I found out that we need to make cat and dog food in the coming days. :- I got quite irritated with everyone because I was telling them this was going to happen almost 2 months ago... I will go without, but not our pets.

I will go without, but not our pets. I agree that there will most likely be lasting changes from all of this. Not sure about the sterility part of it though. I saw that there was one study that has currently been withdrawn. Looks like that study was published on a site that is not peer reviewed - but maybe it's a good thing that concern has been raised so it's something that will be looked into. The panic buying is so stupid. The hoarders are only making things worse - not only by making the products scarce but by creating large crowds that only spread the virus further. PS. I saw that we have a guild invitation request. I sent her a nice pm explaining how the guild is currently inactive.

Have you given any more thought to just opening a new guild?
