You certainly have a way with words 4laugh rofl rofl

Hope you got that full night of sleep!

Yes, I did. Basically the entire household did; we were all catatonic from the stress drop off.

amazing what a good sleep can do - and the lack of it for that matter..

Yes, I definitely need more of it.

I'm lucky that I don't normally have trouble sleeping. If I don't sleep well it's almost always due to one of the kids waking me up and needing something.

Exxos - it's high time you were made part of the crew (at minimum). I wish I had the authority to change your status. Hopefully Lily or Sam will peek in again one of these days razz

Seniority through showing up seems like my sort of thing. xp Though in all seriousness, I was reading a post (I think it was in an ask the devs) not too long ago that gaia was considering a rule where if the captain or vice did not log in within X duration and a guild did not have X activity within same duration, they would delete it.

They should have it where if the cap or vice did not log in (for x amount of time) the leadership should automatically be awarded to the next ranking person to post. They have this rule in the online game I play (SWTOR) and I ended up with leadership by default. I didn't want it but I was able to keep things going long enough to transfer to someone who was actually interested in building things up again.

Personally I think that if you would want it - it's your turn to be captain. Unfortunately it's not for me to say at this point. razz

Yeah, the SWTOR system is a good example of a way to keep guilds/clans alive. Though in the case gaia was discussing, it was at least somewhat of a lucid idea from them for once – since it was basically no leadership visiting the site at all and no members posting for a certain amount of time designated a dead guild entirely.

I'd take it simply for the shock factor when old guildies show up. "Exxos is captain? IT'S A WORLD GONE MAD!" rofl

...I noticed that the dream avy thing we used to use on Tektek is now unavailable. confused Is there something equivalent we can use to find specific types of items to preview or are we sol?

Since gaia made the ever-broken avatar builder, we're pretty much SOL, yes.

Well gahhhhh flippity glipppity blehehhhhhh! Seriously Gaia? You know I want to like you Gaia but you make it so darn difficult. I'm here for Exxos though. At least he's someone in the universe that's worth it. *nods*

So I did see something about this so called avatar builder thing. Has it ever worked at all?

It has only worked in giving gaia legal validity against tektek/recolor. It's gone up and down so many times that I am seriously wondering how they can possibly not make it work. In the three times I have tried it while it was "working," I got empty dressing room errors on half the items I tried, green goo errors, and a browser crash. It's that special type of coding the new gaia is known for – lots of bloat and lots of errors.

I mean, the old gaia had MOVIES. You could watch hosted anime. Now they can't manage what is essentially the code they already have in the marketplace and member avatar pages. The code essentially already exists because of the "try these things on for sale right now" at the bottom of our avatar pages, so it literally should be "add all items to that, put on separate page."
