It borrows some aspects from Quarn Boha and real world languages. Infernus is well-studied and has a knack for these things, so he mentioned a new language, I replied in a new language, and he gleaned what it said enough to chuckle. As for the orthography; it's coming along:

Guin - Aoiichi Woah ! that is badass ! You're Like Tolkien ! Thank you! redface xd It's my third "proper" conlang. I say proper because the other two are not well developed enough to use (less than 400 words). Zosï is my pet project, so it has been developing on the shoulders of the others for years. Most of the terms in the language are quirky. Such as Anyoibavenʒiska = raisin of the cookie Anyoi = grape -bav = dry/wrinkled/aged affix Anyoibav = raisin -en/-n = of the affix ʒis = baked goods -ka = diminutive affix ʒiska = cookie If you are not like me and loath oatmeal raisin cookies or think they are made of lies, you could use this as a sort of slang for when someone tricks you. The focus of the deception is the Anyoibavenʒiska.

So a Cranberry + bav = craisin? would you really need the bav to describe a cranberry-ʒiska ?

So a Cranberry + bav = craisin? would you really need the bav to describe a cranberry-ʒiska ? Yes, a craisin would be gruŋþesabav (the b's overlap). gruŋþesabʒiska would be a cookie composed of a single cranberry. ʒiskanashogruŋþesabin would be a cookie with cranberries in it. -nasho / -nasha are an odd conjoiner. It basically means "supporting the components that define it." A shorter version could be ʒiskaryo-gruŋþesabin which would translate as "cookie in equitable association with cranberries." This is probably something nobody would actually say though because it puts the cookie as a sapient entity in a politically-related alliance with fruit. If the cranberry was considered a traveller on a cookie flung through the void of space, we could call this cranberry "gruŋþesabno'ʒiskanovaxkruzkavalokir." ʒiskanovaxkruzkavalokir would translate as passenger on a tiny cookie starship.

Maybe it's because it is still a developing language , but seems like there isn't room for...figurative or metaphorical speech. From the way you describe the creation of words it all seems...so Literal. The again you are Literally making words... sweatdrop

From the way you describe the creation of words it all seems...so Literal. The again you are Literally making words... sweatdrop I have some figurative aspects. Cuhqnyahkyohx tʃʌkʰwʔnjɑːkjoʊx (the voiceless velar fricative is really phlegm-gargling when following oʊ, bordering on tempting vomiting, though that might just be me…) Cuhqa: literally a dirt road and figuratively a rough path in life. -Nyah: an affix for deeply studied or known. -Kyohx: an affix for vile beyond everything. So this translates as “a tough life that is fully perceived and found to be awful beyond words and possibly infectious.” And tuvawokiohi which is a figurative turn on to force into submission that means "rough sex over the course of a period of time." But yeah, most of the figurative aspects are still a ways out. crying

Since everyone's experience of life is different ,people will use a language to express what they percieve in their own way. And i suppose the language changes by the use of each individual ? I dont know if im making sense now.... sweatdrop sweatdrop

I know I've been absent for a long time I come in every day. Mostly to threads in the GCD. B.E.S.T. - has to do with theoris regarding Gaia's plot line. On friday i visit with my zomgaians in the DEV meat thread. Usually we stay up real late even after the meat (misspelling intentional) is over, on skype or tinychat. I also visit the NYX thread and Cassmir Alliance. OH ! and the Zomg Forum AND Heaver forum. EDIT: i also visit the " Avatar vs. Avatar " thread.
