But my birthday was kinda shitty, anyway. None of my real REAL friends really remembered either. I just sat at home and drank vodka alone 'till I passed out. emo emo emo

CRUSADE b***h'S feel. Hell if I know. I'm not religious, nor do I study catholic history, nor did I do any research. But from my sparse, uninformed, and completely Wikipedia-article-author-worthy non-knowledge of the subject it's less of a "omg CRUSADE" thing and more of a "we shall protect the church, its traditions, and the holy artifacts" thing. ...completely uninformed.

The Knights Templar were pretty badass, and did form after one of the crusades. But they seemed really respected and revered for lifestyle and battle prowess, rather than being over zealous. I think they were also betrayed and shut down by the church eventually.
And they had a total 23 Grand Masters! zomg! (Don't see The Number 23. It was stupid.)
But everyone loves you, anyway, Josh. They can't just single out one day of the year to shower you with praise. You get it everyday.
