[The Durem Cathedral
DESCRIPTION
Christianity is a religion that is rarely practiced in Gala, due to several reasons. Despite these reasons this church is able to survive because of its strong following. The structure of the church is small due to the fact that it is constantly destroyed by Gaia's common chaotic nature and needs to be cheap to rebuild. The Church is very different from the usual idea of a Christian church would be.
The church itself peach's a left wing christian theology which is very open minded to things such as different races, sexual orientation and perceptions of the bible. Because of this accepting nature the church has managed to gain a large following while at the same time starting few feuds.
The main teachings of this theology focus on Jesus' teachings on peace, justice, fairness, compassion and love. The only thing that keeps it from becoming a large faction of power is the fact that people still hold the common perception that Christians are closed minded and hateful people.
The church's low building cost attribute to the meager wish's of the congregation. The church is very old and the congregation wanted the church no better in terms of structure than it had began. Though due to the generous tithe's of Sieg ecstuffuan, the church has added some basement floors.
The church is a plain but sturdy looking building, with a steeply peaked roof, a white clapboard exterior, and three small stained glass windows along each side. The church before it had been rebuilt had fallen on hard times, but due to the rebuild with the extra tithes the lawn is a plush green without a single weed. The bush's around the church were perfectly trimmed. The shingles on the roof were perfectly placed and in good condition. The gothic style front doors are freshly painted.
Leading up to the front doors is a wide stairway, allowing for large crowds to pour in at once; though the congregation isn't that large. Around the church itself is a small parking lot, leading out to the Durem roads. Next to the church is the church graveyard, which is a small but beautifal graveyard with its tree's and almost mystical serenity.
Through the front doors is a foyer where the ushers who stand at the two double door entrances into the main area of worship. Taking a right at the foyer leads to the stairways downstairs, to the left are the rest rooms.
In the main area of worship is a brown carpet leading to the alter and pulpit, were the preacher and the church choir and band stand. On both sides of the carpets are the pews which are nailed down onto the glistening amber wooden floor. The church is illuminated with modern fluorescent lighting.
On the first level basement is where the children's church is placed, along with a hallway leading to several other rooms which include a kitchen and the pastors quarters. There are also other storage rooms on this floor. Each service is video and audio recorded, also on this floor is a video editing room.
Beneath this level is another level, guarded by two ushers which only the pastor and a select few are allowed.
LOCATION
The Church is located just outside of downtown Durem, away from any large buildings that would make it seem out of place.
PEOPLE
The Congregation
The congregation though small is composed of all sorts of gaian races. The church has been able to achieve this multiracial congregation through the use of love and acceptance. Each member of the congregation has there own problems, as they are normal people but they find love and family through the church. They all strive to be humble, peaceful , accepting, and gentle. Because the congregation considers themselves a part of a family, the church members are known for helping each other. The church survives on the generous tithes of its congregation. Another similarity that these members share are there sensitivity to spirit and the holy spirit.
Pastor (s)
There are several pastors which consist of priest from more popular religions who were discontent with there old religions and turned to christianity. They are all composed of trained orators of different races and genders. They have speaking and singing ability that gives the church its powerful charasmatic ability. They mostly live meager lives, donating most of there money to the church. This makes them very humble but at the same time there very helpful. They will take there own time to listen to the concerns in the lives of each individual member of the congregation and will do there best to accomodate him.
Church Choir and Band.
Consisting of many religious bards and dancers, this is another part of the church that brings the congregation together in musical harmony. There songs always bring down the holy spirit, and the powerful voices of the choir and congregation can be heard echoing far from the church itself.
CLIMATE
Whatever the Climate of the Durem city is.
FLORA
In the area you will find only the plant life that exist around Durem, though around the church you will find only neatly cut grass and strubs. In the graveyard however you will find the same lush grass, but also you can see the beautifal flowers that have been planted for the dearly departed.
FAUNA
Evil or neutral natured Wild beast or monsters simply dont wander around near the church. Its a very safe area who's peaceful nature makes it a bad place to go for any wild (chaotic) or evil creature. The spiritual essence of the church makes any neutral being also shy away from moving around this area.
The great spiritual essence that exist around the church makes it a perfect invironment for celestial beast and Though's who are sensitive or fearful of these kinds of beings however will be able to see them clearly. Beings from heaven (though not neccesarily angelic beings) have been known to wander around the church.
RESOURCES
The church's main source of income are the generous tithes of its members. The gaian government doesnt really support religious institutions, so the church must depend on its members to survive. With the addition of Sieg ecstuffuan as a member, the church has gained a lot of money.
MYTH
The Paladin Order
On the third level of the church is the meeting place of a relatively new team of gaians who wish to spread the teachings of love and peace, backed with the power of the gaian warriors. This team of warriors are said to be granted holy spells for use of protecting the weak and are to be backed by the angels themselves.

Of course, I could have said something yesterday, but I didnt because I dont believe in those lame birthday threads you people like to set up so fakers who pretend to care as if they'd look good in someone elses eyes can post in it and make fake well wishes.
Also, I'm only saying this so all the people who pretend to care will pretend to feel bad.
