Chloe sat down next to Yumi. The food was already set out for that afternoon, and she happily dug into the food, laughing and joking with her friend.
As the students came in, as well, a few younger boys, a little older than Yumi and Chloe, but not much, came running over to the little girls to say hi. One particularly bold boy poked Yumi's cheek, then the group ran away, laughing to each other.

Yumi was laughing with her friend until that annoying boy came and poked her cheek. She batted at him, yelling at him to leave her alone. She sniffled some, feeling like she was being picked on.

Chloe rolled her eyes and hopped down from her chair, making her way to the boys. She tapped the one who'd poked Yumi on the shoulder and demanded he apologize.
Rasmus was the name of the boy, though he went by Razz, and he looked at Yumi with a faint blush before refusing to speak to the cute little fox.

Yumi watched as her friend went over to the boy, seeing him stand up to Chloe. She sniffled more, wiping her nose on her sleeve before looking around for her dad, mom, brother, or an uncle.

Chloe glared at Razz, then took him by the ear and dragged him over to Yumi's chair. The boy whimpered a couple of times, then looked up at Yumi. "I'm sorry I poked you, Yumi," he said quietly, blushing some more.

Yumi stared at him for a moment before punching the boy right on the top of the head from her chair. "Don't poke me, you dumby!!"

Razz tried to duck, but he held his head and glared up at Yumi. "You're the dummie!" he shouted back before running off to his friends.

Yumi growled some, her ears flattening back. "I'm telling my Daddy you said that!" she yelled after Razz, pouting in her chair.

Demetri looked down at Yumi and frowned before pulling her up onto his lap. "Did you and Chloe fight again?"

Demetri chuckled and ruffled Yumi's hair. "This boy must really like you to pick on you so much," he said, looking over at Lunora with a sly smile.

Lunora just smiled and rolled her eyes.

"If a little boy is picking on you, it means he likes you," Demetri assured Yumi, before putting her back on her feet. "So go act like you mother and show him who's boss."
