Camwen ((((Humble)))) sorry sorry about your ex. The prodigal Camwen returns! Sorry for being gone so long. I needed a serious break from Gaia. I've been on this site since '04 and had never really been away longer than a week or two. Believe me I felt major guilt for abandoning you wonderful people. But at the same time I needed to want to be here at Gaia again - not feel like the only reason was because it was a responsibility. razz Anyway, for those of you who remember what my main issue was a while back, I'm happy to say that my daughter's health issues are figured out and she's doing really well. Consequently, my stress level has returned to mostly normal. So how is everyone here? I see that there are several new folks I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet. Any big events or items in Gaia that I should check out? Yeah, it's getting ridiculous. I was overjoyed when I got 2M from the dice roll -item morikoarina gave from the contest. I was certain that now I was able to get the fun stuff I had planned but was pretty much shocked when I went to marketplace. Before, the expensive stuff was around few millions, now it's in billions. *shakes her head* If you are not using cash and not interested to do active vending constantly, then I don't think you are able to keep up with the inflation. Luckily, there are pretty gold shop items too so I'm fine with the stuff I already have. gaia_angelright

I'm lucky enough to have some nice items from the "ye olden days" when you could actually gather up the gold for your quest by posting, polling and booty grabbing. I don't think it's possible anymore. Either you need real cash to buy your self a "quick win" or good nerves to do some serious vending in the marketplace. For example, when I quested for my Kiki kitty in the 2007-ish it was around a 200K. It was an hard quest, but I managed to do it. Coco kitty was about the same at that time. Now, Kiki is around eight billion and Coco is around one billion gold. That's just crazy! gaia_angelright

Though I sort of want to do more for those who don't seem to have the luck or the time for contests. I know...others are running different contests too...so others have many chances at earning gold...that's great! Though I wanted to do a bit more for the guild...and so I want to start a gold donation thread...ran and funded by me and me alone. I'm not saying I'm rich...I don't want people to think I'm throwing it in their faces....but you guys have been so wonderful and supporting of me...I've never known anyone here to give me bad vibes...and I just feel that I have a duty to give back. So what do you think? Shall I start a donation thread, or contribute to one that's already running?
