"My family . . ." Ana mumbled taking a seat next to Hara, "Someone stole something from one our neighbors and blamed me. Because my family never wanted me to begin with. What a better way to get rid of the only girl they have by selling her off to some strange guy and getting the reward of money for it. It's not like they're too poor anyway . . ." She frowned, "Stupid family . . . stupid life . . . stupid girl . . ." She referenced herself. *6*

Lady Tora Tora smiled sweetly and understood how she might feel. "First, let me tell what what a geisha is," she began. "We are entertainers, artists if you will. We study music, art, writting, dance, manners, and anything else that is artistic. We use our knowledge to entertain men, known as patrons, at tea houses. We dance for them, we sing for them, we serve them drink and food, and carry on intelegent conversations with them. Late at night after a long day at work, and man will reward himself and take a break and drink and eat with us. We give them the pleasure to be in our graceful, beautiful presence. The only thing we do not give them is our bodies. A maiko is a Geisha in training. She takes the classes and has an "onee-chan" to teach her as well. As a maiko, that's when she begins to study the arts and takes classes. A maid is just as it sounds. A maid is not a servent, but someone who helps tidy the house and clean. We have plenty of maids so the work is very light." Tora finished and hoped Anata would get it.

"No, nothing like that," Tora cooed. "You are not stupid. Here, you will be cared and taken care of," she smiled. "You don't have to worry about anything anymore. This life is very easy and rewarding. I love being able to just study art and paint and dance and sing," she added with an even bigger smile. "And, yes, When you become a maiko, I'd love to have you as a younger sister," she smiled.

But it won't just fall in your lap... you have to work hard at getting what we as Geisha & Makio have but in the end you will see that it is very much worth the work.... Hara said smiling.

Umemi was finding it difficult to keep up with the administration as all these new girls were coming to her okiya. She came up with an idea and went to find Tora "Tora, I need your help with something please" she called out.

"What do I have to do? Make tea and stuff? I used to do that all the time with my older sister! Well, my neighbor who claimed me as her younger sister." Ana grinned, "Will eventually be able to be just like you, right?" The young girl had hope in her eyes and a cheer in spirit that she had lacked for quite some time. She wanted to have a dream again. *8*

"Yes, you will," Tora smiled, feeding the hope of the young girl. "Keep that hope and dream alive and you will become a famouse geisha one day!" Tora turned as mother entered her room. She smiled and bowed to her. "Yes mother?" she asked.

Katie walks in and stands by the door queitly hoping she is not intruding on anything important. She would die if she offended someone on her first day as being a maid!

When no-one accpeted the offer of tea, Akemi made herself a cup and sat down to slowly drink it.
When she was finished, she washed her cup and put it away in the cupboard. She then walked into the hall and wandered around the okiya, wondering what to do next.
She came across Tora, Hara and a newcomer. She greeted them and turned to the maid, saying: "Hello, my name is Akemi. I have just become a maiko here. Pleased to meet you," and smiled at the new girl.

[chibiwithagun] Kitsune_Fox [chibiwithagun] Chibi stood and went back into the Okiya and went towards the kitchen in which she saw to other women standing. Seeing the one that was standing in Omny's room she walked up and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Im sorry that I didn't say hello to you eairlyer...I'm just still alittle confused...I believe that I heard Omny call you Tohru?" She asked. " If I could serve you some tea to say sorry in a better way...May I?" She asked bowing.
[19] Tohru blinked and turned around. She nodded saying, "Yes, I am Tohru. I'm afraid I still haven't caught your name yet." She smiled kindly and waved her hand. "You don't have to to do anything special. I know that being in a new place can be confusing sometimes." "I'm Katsume Chibi, Thankyou for your under standing." She said with a deep bow. "Still it there is a time that you are free, I still would like to have tea with you." She said sweetly smileing. "Oh! And just so I know...Is there any thing that you need me to clean for you?" She asked her.
[20] Tohru bowed back to Chibi and said, "Nice to meet you." 'She is much friendlier than her first impression gave me; I'm glad. I'm most fortunate that there is no one in this okiya whom I dislike. Mother always told me there'd be at least one person I didn't like and who didn't like me.'Tohru smiled gently and nodded. "After my lessons today, I'd love to have tea with you. And no...I-I don't need anything cleaned." Tohru blinked. She had always done her own cleaning. 'I guess as a maiko I'm supposed to have the maids do it...I suppose I just can't make myself.'. She nodded at Chibi to hold on a moment and then approached the girl at the door. She smiled at the quiet girl and bowed. "Welcome; I am Foxchan Tohru, a maiko here. Who are you?"

((OOC: the way it worked for me/Tohru was that Tora offered to be her onee-chan. For the classes, go into one that is accepting students, say you're siging up or just start RPing.))
