She checked out one of the recently-made maps dedicated to where all the current royalist bases were. Luxara would memorize this so then she would know which spaces were friendly, and which she'd have to sneak through post-ceasefire.
She was tempted to take it to use for reference, but one, she didn't want to get caught, and two, what if someone else needed it more than she did? Not everyone was a hunter, so... She glared at the map intently, hoping to burn it into her thinkpan.

Keionx did not like the call to retreat, even though she knew it was not the same as defeat. So, she decided to channel her frustration productively by carrying back a nice load of salvaged materials to be used in later projects.

Sinter was having a really hard time concentrating with Tamiya hovering over his shoulder like that. He would have been moving at least twice as fast through his work if he weren't so concerned with the audience, but at least it was prompting him to be more careful. He couldn't help but check his numbers two or three more times than usual with the constant distraction of feeling eyes on his back. Also Sinter just wanted to impress Tamiya--not that he'd let her know that.
He jumped when she finally spoke to him, ironically botching his last set of coordinates. Of course, at the praise (implied though it may have been), Sinter was more than happy to forgive her. ]

After a while, she decided to kick off her geta and take a seat, pulling her knees closer to her chest. Once she had viewed his progress for quite some time, she grabbed a piece of paper and practiced her penmanship along side him.

They were still offering training over here? Etsali guessed it was a good way for everyone to take their minds off of things, maybe, but she was pretty done with explosives and building right now. She could handle a little sneaking though. That wasn't so bad.

Even though a ceasefire had been announced, the military base camp was still bustling with activity. Ephias felt as though he should busy himself but he had little left to learn from their construction program. Instead he decided to pursue intelligence. He had performed abominably while out in the field.
So apparently it helped if he actually went out in the field to study locations, rather than examining from a single point. It seemed kind of obvious now that he thought about it. He had been distracted with other things.

This was Dictys back in eir element, really. Though it seemed with the powerful force of the rebellion, nationalistic fervor had subsided a bit.

Luxara looked at maps where royalists in charge had marked off the heaviest amount of rebel activity. Apparently city hall had been one of their biggest bases, as well as the rail station. Who knew? She had never even passed through those places! Probably for the best, too, if those places had been swarming with rebels...though...maybe she could have defected if she did find them...or something.
An official double-turncoat AND a coward. Yeah. That would've helped OODLES. Luxara sighed and went back to work.

A few more looping strokes and Tamiya had it. She twirled icons on a map and breathed deeply, relaxed. Smiling, Tamiya held up her paper to Sinter for him to see.

There were a lot of maps to go over, now that bases were pretty set where they were. It was kind of interesting to count them, royalist ones here and rebel ones there, and wonder what had happened at each. Etsali kind of wondered if that one rebel was hiding out in one of those red dots still, and quietly hoped it was a terribly uncomfortable base wherever he was. Just because she'd promised not to talk about it didn't mean she couldn't think about what a jerk he surely was.

With Tamiya scribbling away at her own piece of paper, Sinter was able to finally get some work of his own done. He wrote quickly to make up for lost time being self-conscious.
Sinter looked up at the sound of shuffling beside him. Wow. Tamiya's methodical nature really paid off in her penmanship. Sinter nodded rapidly in approval and turned back to his own work.
...Maybe he could stand to slow down a bit. ]

This was slow going - it was certainly more difficult than lighting his meteors on fire and smashing them against buildings. Of course, Alifax could admit he'd never been particularly adept at...building things up. Perhaps he needed to fix that. Or perhaps he didn't. He didn't need to be able to build much, if he was going to become a soldier.

Dictys' fins, strangely, seemed to be drawing people away. There weren't a lot of cases where that was the truth.
No, that was a lie. Dictys' fins had always drawn people in, but they'd also intimidated far more people. And right now, it seemed like they made people think ey'd be...angry. It was not, admittedly, an unreasonable assumption - but for now, it was untrue.
