Daypaw laughed, happy to be doing something to keep her mind preoccupied from tonight. "'Kay, I'm gonna go eat now, be done in a few." She went to the fresh-kill pile, grabbed one of her voles, and began eating. When she had finished, Daypaw licked her chomps as she padded over to Nightrunner. "Okay, I'm ready."

Nightrunner smiles and leads his apprentice back to the sandy hollow. "why do you want to train right now daypaw?"

daypaw smiled at her mentor's question. So I can show it to Tulippaw later, since she's resting from that snake fright." And it was true, that was a reason why she wanted to train now, the second reason was she wouldn't be bored waiting for night to come. "C'mon now, what are you going to teach me? How to defend the camp against a badger raid? Or how to fight a fox?"

Autumnstar dismissed Lightblossom and padded out of her den and glanced around breathing in the deep air, she smiled and stretched out on her side at the base of a large oak

Daypaw's smile faltered at Nightrunner's question. "Ahh...where are you going out tonight?" She was hoping to play the question game with him to avoid telling him where she was planning on taking Tulippaw tonight.

Nightrunner flicks his tail then tackles daypaw without warning, pinning her down with his superior strength and size. "tell me"

Daypaw squealed, surprised and scared of NIghtrunner at the same time. His weight felt like it was going to crush her. "Touring the territory, she hadn't the chance to." She finally managed to say.

Daypaw looked right at her mentor as she spoke, "I'm taking her to my favorite spot in the territory, nothing top secret." She was starting to resent asking to go training with him.

Daypaw nodded as she got to her paws, "Now lets actually start training." She took up the stance that Nightrunner has just moments before he tackled her to the ground.

Nightrunner smiles and dashes at his apprentice, lashing with his paw to trip her up.

Daypaw expected him to do this, so she jumped, getting her paws above his paws as she launched herself on him, hooking her claws to stay on. Once she was on him, she sheathed one forepaw to bat him in the face. Soon she leapt off him to avoid being crushed by him if he decided to roll on to his back.
