The glowing bird dodged it and then grew and stopped glowing; her Pidgey was now a Pidgeotto. "Oh my god. Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto. Ok. Pidgeotto, use Aerial Ace." Pidgeotto flew down at a faster speed and hit Raichu.

"I call bad form!" Celic said in anger as Lt. Surge had Raichu attack the evolving Pidgey.

He saw what the gym leader did, and noticed what Celic said. "Come on Mina, don't give up the accomplishment of what your pokemon did to get to his last pokemon."

"Dodge it and go at it with Wing Attack." Pidgeotto dodged and flew at Raichu but suddenly Pidgeotto's wings started glowing as it got closer and then hit Raichu. "Woah....that wasn't Wing Attack.....that was Steel Wing. Sweet! Pidgeotto learned Steel Wing."

Lt. Surge The raichu was sent towards the wall. "Raichu use rain dance." All of a sudden it started to rain.

"Pidgeotto, use Whirlwind." Pidgeotto started flapping its wings heavily to push the rain with the wind towards Raichu.

Lt. Surge "Use flash." The attack hit raichu right in the head, he use flash which brighten the room. "Now use thunder." There was no response. After the light disappear raichu was fainted. Lt. surge return his raichu. 'I can't believe that my first pokemon lost to a flying type.' He put his shades on and walked toward Mina. "Well done tyke. You have given your all to beat me, and according to the rules this badge is yours. Also due to the faint light I saw while fighting your jolteon. I believe this tm's will benefit you." He gave three tms to her. One was charge, then charge beam, and the other was discharge.

She saw when the light cleared that they had won. "We...won? YES! We did it." Pidgeotto flew over to her and she hugged it. "I'm so proud of you." She then listened to Lt. Surge when he talked to her. "Thank you. All right! I got a Thunderbadge. Thank you so much. Guys, I did it." She rushed over to her friends and hugged Celic. "Can you believe it? I did it."

Felix was in amazement of the whole thing. "Nice job, Mina. That was one intense battle." He looked in his bag and got something out of his bag. "I know it won't do much but here is some sitrus berries, and a few oran berries." He gave her a bag filled with the two berries. "Well Tyson, I guess you are up next, good luck."
