Bornes didn't know what to do when Isiah walked out on him. He had brought up valid points about the dog. He believed his theory to be true. There was nothing more he wanted then for that dog to die, to ensure their survival, give them more meat...
... Even though their survival wasn't even that well insured in the first place. Bornes let his eyes fall back to the floor, looking at all the broken glass, some pencils and pieces of fabric he could only hope were book bags tossed around.
He took in a deep breath and held it, then turned around and flipped the desk he had just been sitting in over with a harsh kick. It toppled over with a few bangs, as the hybrid exhaled with a pout. That wasn't nearly as stress relieving as he hoped it would be. He supposed because he'd forced it.
His posture slumping, he walked over the upturned desk and out the window of the school, shoving his hands in his pockets and walking slowly around the building. Everywhere he looked, he imagined their being people. He hoped, prayed even, that they were there. And a few times he could've sworn he saw them from the corner of his eyes. Children playing, adults idling somewhere.
But it was all a farce. There was nobody.
Nobody but that damn Isiah and his stupid pet dog. What did that make him?

Isiah waited for a moment longer beyond the doors, Kaie walking out ahead and then stopping once she realized Isiah wasn't in tow. He groaned. Half of him wanted to leave the drama queen behind, let him work it out on his own. At the very least then he could walk during the day.. or.. any time he wanted. The little a*****e was holding him back.
The other half led him back to the double doors, pulling one open to duck his head in. "Douchebag," he barked. "You coming or not?"

Bornes came around the side of the building and could see Isiah looking back into the school. He gave a hmph and said solemnly, "I'm over here."
The hybrid shifted his weight uncomfortably and began to walk toward Isiah. It seemed like Bornes was getting shortchanged, but he knew this was for the better. It must've been the dog's fault. His eyes wandered over to the animal. It had to have some type of agenda...

Kaie looked up at Q, immediately folding her ears back, sidestepping away from him slightly, her tail tucking down under her legs. Isiah watched the silent exchange, sort of waiting to see if there would be some other form of communication between them, not really sure what to expect.

That's right b***h; you play Omega. Bornes glared to her. I bet that's how it got the other people to die as well.
Bornes wanted to growl at the beast, but stopped himself, instead tearing his eyes from the dog to look at Isiah. Bornes stopped about three feet away from the other, watching his face.
"What's wrong with you?" he asked, misreading the expression.

Isiah shook himself out of it, jogging to catch up with the pair. "Nothing, nothing," he grunted, distracted. Kaie relished the movement, walking along by Isiah's knees, glancing up nervously at Q every once in awhile- and if the frenchman was watching, he'd notice the occasional twitch of the lip.

Bornes, after they began their journey, only looked to the animal once or twice before completely ignoring it.
Hours passed and Bornes remained silent, until he suggested they stop to eat again. He eagerly waited for Isiah to stop and drop the bag. Once the man had done so, Q kneeled down and searched for a can. Any can, didn't really matter which can.
He ended up with a can of beef stew. He turned to Isiah. "Your blade?" He held out his hand in expectancy, his voice flat.

Isiah grunted after he dropped the bag, Kaie lying down a few feet off. He fumbled around in all of his pockets until he found the knife, handing it to him before setting himself down on his haunches. "Good choice," he mumbled, before pulling the bag an inch or toward over him, fumbling through the cans before he found some spaghettio's, waiting for the knife to open them up.

Bornes looked to the can in his hands, hearing Isiah's comment, and almost felt regret for what he was about to do. But he only had a small window of opportunity while Isiah busied himself looking for his own cans.
Bornes looked over toward the dog just as Isiah pulled out his speghettios, and it was about the time Isiah turned for his turn to the knife that it was thrown from Q's hand, aimed at the dog's midsection.
He had hoped the dog would be more near to Isiah, but oh well. Bornes knew the strike wouldn't be a killing one, but if he hit the intestines, he'd damage the dog beyond repair and they'd have to put the thing out of its misery.
Bornes hadn't thrown a knife in almost five or more years, but it shouldn't have been too difficult...

Isiah's eyes widened as the knife flew, time slowing down. Kaie jumped, yelping, her belly grazed, running off in the other direction, the knife clattering down onto the ground. She ran until she was out of sight, leaving an almost untraceable trail of blood.
Isiah's look of fear almost instantly turned to one of outrage. "What the ******** is wrong with you?" He stood, scrambling over to the knife to let the blade snap shut, wrapping his fist so tightly around it that his knuckles went white. "What did she EVER do to you?! You stupid selfish shitbag! I should have left you on that damn nail!" He kicked dirt into Q's face, before stepping forward on the kicking foot to kick into his midsection. "What kind of monster ARE you!?"

Bornes tched at his miss, but at least the dog was gone. He turned, still on his knees, Isiah now yelling at him.
He guessed that should have been expected.
The he got dirt kicked in his face. Bornes called out, closing his eyes and turning to the side, but at least he could hear the step forward. He was unsure what Isiah was planning but Q rolled on his back away to dodge whatever it was.
After he had effectively gone out of Isiah's hit range, he wiped at his eyes and tried to see what was going on. He managed to quickly get enough sand out of his eyes to at least see as he stood up, though it was extremely uncomfortable and he was constantly blinking.
He grit his teeth, wanting to yell out something. Calm down, it's not what you think, anything. But his mind was drawing a blank, and he ended up just standing there looking like an idiot. Making no immediate defensive moves but not going on the offensive, either. "I don't want to fight you" was something Bornes wanted to say, but it sounded too stupid.

The veins in Isiah's neck stood out in anger, his jaw set, fists clenched. He was tense all through his body, feet set apart. If he wasn't going to fight, he certainly didn't look it.
"Then you had better tell me why the ******** you thought it was okay to hurt a dog who had never done anything to you, you douchebag! Is it because I LIKED her better than you, you jealous ********?! At least she has half a god damn brain!"

That stung. He really did like her better than him? Bornes lip curled up in a inaudible snarl and he parted his feet, distributing his weight evenly. His tail was still rather limp, not asserting authority, showing excitement. Nothing.
"It was for your own good," Bornes attempted to justify. Who was he kidding? It was mostly jealousy.

Isiah looked like he was about to explode, red in the face, almost jumping out of his skin. "FOR MY OWN GOOD?!" He roared, his eye twitching. "That dog saved your damn skin! If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have been able to find your stupid wandering a**!"
He growled audibly as he turned to look down the path that Kaie had left. "She would know better than you or I where water is! I don't have that kind of sixth sense, you stupid retard, and CLEARLY neither do you!"

Bornes wasn't sure what to do. If he stayed where he was, it seemed Isiah woudln't rush him. But Bornes knew there was no easy way to calm down this man. How could he?
Apparently he had underestimated the animal's importance to him.
"If it knew where water and food was, it wouldn't have left the source to be with you," he stated. Stick with solid neutral facts. Keep calm.
Maybe this would end without Bornes being hurt.
