Kaiser-Seven watched the proceedings carefully with arms crossed over her chest. She was being very careful with her expression and thoughts so that the others might not read them so easily as they had before. Though in all honesty she was extremely amused. It wouldn't be prudent to laugh during this, as silly as it was to her, and remind them she was there until the proper time. Her eyes flicked between each group, calculating, until finally the elf suggested he had the diplomacy to possibly act as retainer for the nation.

"I'm going to Signet." She was very blunt, face turned toward Rike. "Need I explain as you weigh the options and help offered here, Sir?"

"Your half-brother... power over electrical energy? If he wishes to disguise his new name from you I cannot divulge it.... And it seems lady Merlin has chosen to join the crowd"
Karrot became totally unfocused on his conversation when soft memories and sad regrets slipped into his mind at the sight of Merlin's grace
I should have never aimed so high... more things break when you miss.

Shock Matrix awoke finally and got out of his bed. He could feel some irritation on his skin and it felt like he had a sunburn. Then he remembered what had happened. He left his room to find the Brothers, Aron on the couch... and Roma on the table, totally unconscious. He turned around and saw a plate on the table, the food still hot.

Torrent smiled at him and gestured toward the table, Matrix smile back and without a word, began to eat.

Sable folded her arms, unimpressed. She finally sighed and released the dampers she'd been holding in place for all she was worth and let him see the power that only came with an alpha female, "You owe me. Dinner." She repeated a bit more slowly, "While I eat, I'll see about answering your questions. But not before." She eyed him, "A steak sounds nice, know any good steak houses around here?"

(srry sorta disappeared on you guys)

Fenrir found this female intriguing. That as well as somewhat infuriating. "Yes I do. Before we go, as an alpha, and I can tell you are by the way you act... you should know the respect another deserves in their own territory. You don't have to like me, but I will have your respect..." His tone brooked no argument.

[[OOC Very Important so read it!]

As the indecison and tenseness of the situation took hold, Ignorance and Want made themselves known again, and not in any subtle manner.

The magic burst from them almost screaming with their power and frustration. Fire licked at the hilts as though born from within the sheath. A pentagram formed under Rike's feet, many symbols that no one on this earth knew burned within the triangles.

Slowly above the turmoil, a voice almost cried. it was quiet and hard to distinguish. It was familier and pleading. Only Rike and Seven would know of it's meaning.

The voice faded away, the power leveled away, and the flames dissipated leaving obsidian colored glass in their wake. Ignorance and Want hummed quietly in their sheathes a few moments longer, pleading with the man to whom they had been entrusted. "Please... Please... Bring him back..."

[Next post will have Ashra's human form scurrying about in Signet. Just a head's up^^]

Rike narrowed his gaze as Quinn spoke, his and slowly folding over his chest. Was this guy serious? Of course he was, why else would he be here, but to make him choose between Signet and the Desert Nation... That was the same as choosing between his teacher Fiora and his best friend Kaiser's last wish. Who could choose between something like that?!

He looked closed his eyes and shook his head, not really in answer to anything, but in an attempt to clear his mind as the talk of the Valley and extra help was sent his way. He knew Quinn of the Valley only through Kaiser and he didn't know these people at all. Could he really allow someone he barely knew take care of a nation he dearly loved, and the Mages...he didn't even know if they were having problems of their own! It was too much to think about and decide for all at once, but he was the Desert Nation Leader as well as Fiora's apprentice. He needed to make a decision.

He was jolted out of his rampaging thoughts as Kaiser spoke up...wait Kaiser?! He blinked and squinted needlessly before he grimaced and groaned. It was that minx of a shapeshifter...Seven he believed she was called, Only she could make such a well made Kaiser and actually get him to believe even if it was only for a few seconds, "You know...even after fifty years it's to soon to look like..."

He trailed off as a sudden flash of power surrounded him and the blades Ignorance and Want flared to life. Malen leaped away from her father the pentagon formed, the flames of the two swords too much even for her, but if anyone could deal with heat it was Rike Asanti. The very same vampiric Rike who actually looked pale as he heard the cry and the words of the two swords at his sides. Was that...was that....

"Please...Please... Bring him back..."

He looked down as the flames disappeared and the pentagon faded away, his flaming red hair covering his face as he knelt down and picked up one of those obsidian shards, "I want to...I really do," he murmured, standing up as his hand became a fist, "Now more than ever the Desert Nation need their true leader, the one who was never torn between protecting one nation and saving another." Malen's eyes widened as she smelled the blood slipping through his fingers, "Tell me how. Tell me how to do it and I will!"

Malen looked clearly worried as she witnessed a near breakdown from the man known as her father. What was he talking about and who was he talking to? She only knew that there was only one man who ruled before Rike and that was... He couldn't possibly be talking about Kaiser. The man's dead!

[Question: Since when was Karrot crushing on Merlin? Not that I have a problem with it, it's just a shock to me that's all...]

Vincent watched her go and smiled faintly before moving to follow her only to pause slightly as a familiar presence took his attention away from his Merlin. Brave one aren't we... he thought, his smile growing slightly as he continued to follow her.

Salen soon lead them into the Nocturne, his gaze scanning the area only to look up and stand slightly transfixed as a woman surveyed the writhing sea of bodies upon the dancefloor. He knew her as Merlin, the former Blaydon leader who had helped Lina so many times in the past. And she was also Vincent's apprentice. Vincent, the first Leader...who was staring straight at him.

He noticably stiffened under that dark gaze, his movements literally ground to a halt. The man was only smiling, but that gaze seemed to be pouring into him, filling him with a chilling darkness only to have it yanked away like a vacuum as the Leader looked away to survey the rest of the club. If was a weaker man, that looked probably would have killed him, he was sure of it.

A few moment's later he began to walk deeper into the club, gesturing for he and Arcturus to split up as he began his search within the thriving club, which was quite a feat. Humans and non-humans alike were dancing in whatever space they could get and the flow was bodies was ever changing...it was hard enough getting to the stairs without be jostled about like a boat captured by a storm, but Salen did and was able to atleast make it up a few steps before looking over the crowd once again. Karrot...where are you?

"It's certainly hard to look for people in a club don't you think?" Salen stiffened once again, but did not turn as Vincent stood at his side, "With all the lights flashing, music pumping and bodies moving...it's almost impossible. Almost like how it is impossible to see the damage you have caused within my fellow members of the Ten. You must be proud."

"I have nothing to say to you Vincent. I have been punished enough."

"Oh no, my dear Salen. You see, you weren't punished by me, so you don't know what the meaning of punishment is," came Vincent's smiling reply, "Remember that when the STU heads out. I wouldn't want the darkness I still sense within you suddenly take hold again, but this time drive you mad..." he chuckled lightly before patting Salen's shoulder, "Good day my friend." With that he faded away.

Stefan was the first of the three Siddels to flee from the burning flames that enveloped the ground. He was not a magic user at all, and so the only warning that he received was the shaking of the ground. The Pentagram was drawn and the fire burned, and to Stefan it was so hot it made him feel almost as if his innereds were on ablaze when he lingered too closely. Fleeing was his only option.

Mira was second to flee, although it took a significantly longer time for her then it did her beloved. She felt the initial flash of power, and she felt its epicenter. She watched in great interest as the Pentagram drew itself in the sand, and was intrigued further by the flame. Finally it was Stefan who reached for his wife, fearing for her safety and health, and pulled her out of the inferno.

Perhaps a calling to Rike, from the Netherworld? Mira wondered, keeping the thoughts inside her head, But who would be calling?

Although he probably should have fled the youngest Siddel stood fast, his eyes never leaving Rike. He studied Rike's full form very carefully, taking note of all the different strings that were attached to his. Both of his daughters... The string of Lady Fiora... The string of a nation... And one more...

That was his opportunity.

"Perhaps coming to Signet will not only do the Ten good, but this nation as well." Quinn began slowly, not sure if he should be treading on thin ice, but doing so anyway, "Leave this nation in the hands of my family. Call for help from all corners of this world. And come with me to Signet. Revive the ten and return them to their full strength, and perhaps they will be able to aid in his return."

Quinn hoped that would be enough leverage to sway Rike's decision. If it wasn't... he didn't know what would be.

Arcturus was somewhat amused by the goings on between Salen and Vincent. Darkness never was fond of a deeper kind of shadow looming around.

"Back to business now. Salen, Karrot is in the corner over there. Can't you smell him, or have your senses been momentarily dulled? Then again, I may be taking on a bit of lycan traits... At the very least I can tell what some of those cryptic howls mean."

Hmm, I wonder how many people would slip if I coated the floor with ice...

"Uses electricity? Wait, isn't he the one who opened that vortex that brought me here in the first place? And how... Karrot, what's wrong with you?"

Artanis still had many questions, but the sight of Karrot being so unfocused wasn't something he was used to unless there was a pretty woman around.

Speaking of women, Seven came back to mind.

That dance was rather fun... I suppose I'll never see her again though.

((HAHAHA! twisted Wrench throwing, commencing!))

Seven giggled. As the pentagon flared out she noted the symbols and fell into a smaller, female elf form of similar coloration so that the laugh was silver bells as she bounced happily, eyes bright with amusement.

She turned to Quinn specifically, feeling from him the most of the type of magic she desired. "No compromise, no diplomacy. No leaving the Desert to the hands of strangers, no matter how well-intentioned. The longer you delay is upon your head as you leave your teachers in need of help. You'll have to trust the little doppelganger monster if you wish to succeed, listen if you wish to avoid wasted time leaving with the swords throwing tantrums."

Her feet barely touched the sand as she skipped away, "We need to summon a demon, and if nobody can do that, a little side-trip!" She sang in time with her movements, reeling about the small group as though this were the most delightful occurrence in the world. It had not occurred to her just how confused everyone else would be.

(Yoki... Are you having fun with this? lol)
PostPosted: Fri Feb 06, 2009 1:13 pm

[I think she is lol I feel so sorry for my poor Rike...he's too easy going for this stress lol]

Rike looked quite pained as he listened to Quinn's not so subtle persuasion tactic, and visibly flinched at the vague mention of Kaiser. Perhaps he was right, the Ten were extremely powerful and who knows, with Ashra and Dorien's help they just might be able to bring Kaiser back. He greatly needed his friend...

"Alright, that's it," Malen began, moving to her father and glaring at Quinn, "That's a low blow, and since you're using that route you probably know how wrong it is to use Kaiser in this situation...but you may have a point." she then looked Rike's way, "Look dad, I'm no one's apprentice but yours, so let me stay and take care of things. Since I'm more warrior than diplomat, the elf guy can help me with the politics. Then you can deal with the Signet mess and maybe help Kai- your best friend in the process."

The male vampire looked at his daughter for a long moment and was about to speak when Seven started her strange speech. They both looked at her in confusion, the daughter moreso than the father, but Rike did manage to speak, "If side-trip means Hell than I don't think any of us has that type of power, and if you mean Signet then....explain yourself please Seven. I'm not in the mood for games." Rike not in the gaming mood...something that rarely happens...

--

Salen looked over at Arcturus with a mild glare, but it was more from his moment with Vincent that caused the heated look than the man himself, "They are a bit diluted at the moment, yes, but I see him well enough. Shall we go over to him now or wait 'til Lady Merlin breaks whatever spell she has over him?" he returned his gaze to the dwarf.

So those hows were encrypted messages then...I was right afterall...

"You aren't gaining lycan abilities, those messages you've received from the wolves were magically formatted to their non-lycan allies to understand. It's an old tactic lycans used long before the Great War began."

--

[Ashra's new form's post is right here...]

"Hey kid, come back here you little thief!" came the angry voice of the shopkeeper as a small form dashed away, with only the light laughter of a child to answer the other's angry cries. The figure didn't stop until the yelling ceased, signaling the end of the futile chase, and rested under a nearby streetlight, a smirk full of mischief upon his face as the busy people of Lorindel passed him by.

"Did that fat guy really think he could catch up to me?" Purple eyes gleamed as he began to laugh, looking down at his cloth-protected prize, "Sorry fatty, but it's the only way a Damned like me can get anything I want..." he slowly to reveal a small notebook and pencils, "Lyka and Psych will kill me but I just have to write these weird dreams down. Especially the one with the boy who looks just like me. I wish I had his eyes though, their pretty cool." Golden eyes. Who wouldn't want that?

"Pretty cool huh? Well if he has black eyes, I can give you the same right now." the boy looked up in surprise and paled as an angry woman stood over him, reaching down to pull him up from the ground by his long black locks, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kick your little a** all the way back to the store you stole this from? Did you forget that the Games are still going on? Lady Forenthiel would just love a little child like you to die in a Round of hide and seek."

"Because I'm only a child and should be forgiven?" he took one looked at the narrowing eyes and sighed, "No dice. Okay, um...the dreams are coming alot faster now Lyka. I just want to write them down before-"

"Before what?"

"I don't know. Maybe the guy who looks like me comes I guess." There was silence before Lyka sighed and began dragging himi into the shadows, "Fine, but your a** is mine until whatever heat you've caused blows over. That means no more running around on your own. You are my little shadow you got that?"

"Yes Lyka..." Maybe I should've let that fat guy get me. Atleast with a little bruises she wouldn't have the excuse to punish me like this...

[[ A side note To Arcturus from a few of my characters:"Yes! Do it, cover the floor with ice!"
"Who would know? If anyone would know, it would make them laugh, and laugh, and laugh."
"I fully support this chaotic act. Also, it'll help you get through the crowd, it's a win-win."
"I agree, kill them all....wait what? He's going to coat the floor with ice? ... That sounds fun too.... I guess" ]]

It's not polite to stare...
What!? why are you in my head?
We never left... And seriously stop gawking and pay attention. There are people here looking for you.

Karrot snapped his attention off Merlin and scanned the room, then he noticed the two pairs of eyes looking right at him.

"Guard up... Thespion, Neyre, Artanis... someone is coming this way"

"Either we get little Quinn here to summon a demon if he's capable, and if not we go back to the Desert. More specifically, the old office." Seven sing-songed as she came to a stop in front of Rike, managing a serious expression. Would he recall the mirror there?

"I know a way into hell." She beamed the brightest smile she could. "But it's really faster just to summon, and unfortunately my myriad of skills does not include calling up servants from hell...nor getting Ignorance and Want to behave long enough to actually get you to Signet."

Her gaze turned pointedly to Quinn, Mira and Stefan, patient to see what the next step would be.

As though to illustrate the neccessity of Seven's speech, the swords let off another burst of power. An anchoring spell born of the power of their creator, tying Rike to the desert nation. It would take almost the entire ten to remove the spell. The swords were desperate.

Sable released a throaty chuckle which was almost a purr but could've easily been a growl, "Oh I respect the rules of a territory. I've laid low so far, haven't infected any humans, haven't revealed myself, though I am getting the sense that it may not be necessary....But you, dear Alpha...You will have to earn your respect from me. It should be fun watching you try, I get the sense no one has given you anything challenging to do in awhile."

Arcturus leaned in towards Salen. As much as he'd like to see the man slip on ice too, he felt it'd be better not to test the fellow right now.

"Make sure you've got a good grip on the floor."

With that, he gently tapped his cane on the floor and it grew colder. The trick in this case was to make the floor itself freeze the water in the air, so in a few short seconds the floor would wet freeze long enough to slip everyone up. He hadn't yet tried something like this on other super-natural beings.. But humans were very fun to do this to.
