On non-school days, people sleep in. Right? Apparently not.

My parents had this obnoxious rule: no matter the circumstances, I would not be allowed to sleep past noon. Ever. If I tried to disobey, they would keep coming in and yelling at me to get up. They know I have sleep issues (difficulty falling asleep, difficulty waking up, inability to sleep more than a few hours at a time, chronic exhaustion), but they refuse to believe that no, waking up at noon doesn't mean I "should" be wide awake for the rest of the day. If I were, I wouldn't still be asleep. Dumbasses.

But that's not even it.

The other day, without warning or debate, they changed it to 10. I now have to get up at 10 AM or earlier, every single day. I am not allowed to nap. I have many sleep issues and rely heavily on non-school days to catch up, or at least be less exhausted. But no. There is absolutely no reasoning with them. Every time I try to approach them calmly and rationally to explain how much sleeping in (and by "in" I mean as long as my body needs) means to me, I get a sendoff of "10 AM is sleeping in", to which I attempt to clarify, only to be met with an assertion that I'm lazy and don't do anything and I should be up early to help around the house. Eventually, it always devolves into a yelling match. And when I get panicky because of the feeling of losing control, they refuse to let me leave the conversation and be alone, insisting that I have plenty of control. control. How the ******** would they know how I felt? Oh, I know, by listening to me once in a while! And who are they to self-evaluate? I can't resist trying to correct their hideously inaccurate perceptions of self when it gets too much, but they just get angrier.

The way things are right now, I have a chance of moving out. In ten months. And knowing my parents, and all the times in the past they've said things like that, they'll eventually follow up with "We never said you could move out this year. There was never a chance of it. You're a liar for trying to tell us we said that when we didn't."

They are unwilling to listen to me or consider my point of view, no matter what. I wish I were exaggerating. I really, really do. Although I doubt anyone really believes I'm not...every teenager hates their parents; since when would something like this actually be the truth? Well, since me, I guess.

I seriously want to kill myself. I can't live with this s**t for another ten or twenty-two or thirty-four months. I can't get up at 10 AM every day with no permission to nap (nor long periods of time where they're away from the house and not constantly calling to check in and yelling at me for not picking up every single goddamn time), and I can't put up with their constant bullshit. Not for another second. And last I checked, next school year is far, far more than a second away.

by that I mean chilli peppers plus fruit or sweet things is just <3 *o*

What did it involve?

The subconscious is a weird and sometimes scary place.
