Aparently, my mom didnt understand what I ment when I said that a CD was unavaliable in the US, and had to be imported. A Google search later helped her understand.
My sister then asked if there were any Cradle of Filth CDs I wanted that I didnt have, so my family could get it for me. Somehow, I have a feeling that my family wouldnt enjoy purchasing a CD called "The Priciple of Evil Made Flesh".
Why must all the music I like be either: 1) Hard to find legally 2) The music that freaks everyone else out confused

MoonJeli Eeeerugh. The Pacific Northwest had a windstorm and power got knocked out to 1.5 million homes in Oregon and Washington. Ours was one of them. Luckily, our outtage only lasted about 24 hours, and we're back with heat. Our poor pets suffered the most because many of them can't curl up under a blanket. I'm glad to have warm food again! My computer suffered for it though. Even though I'm plugged into a power strip, it still messed it up. One of my memory sticks was fried. My parent's server got messed up too. A lot of people are still without power and could be for days. o_o The storm kicked in about three hours after Isaac's plane took off. A tree was knocked over in his front yard, and hit the side of their house (and completely crushed this gorgeous wooden archway they had leading to the side yard). Luckily, the house didn't take any damage. His friend's apartment complex took huge damage, though. The building next to the one Graz lived in had a tree take the whole top floor off, and to add insult to injury, the tree then fell right on top of all of the car ports. I'm glad your power's back on. heart It took about a day and a half (if I remember correctly) for his family's power to be fixed. I really feel badly for the people that lost their apartments, especially during the holidays. That's just awful. Was everything all right with your place, Tea?

My parents know that I've been into metal for years and years, but they still get awful upset over the C.D. covers and the sound. I asked for a few T-shirts for Christmas, but I doubt I'll get them. Mom thinks giving me the Ensiferum shirt I wanted (Swords and Axe) would be "Very Un-Christmas like" and "Disturb their holidays". sweatdrop

My mom got me the first Silent Hill for Easter several years back. Then again, this is the same mom who bought me expansion packs for Quake and such for similar Christian holidays. I guess she figures that as long as I'm not performing blood sacrifices in the house and messing up the carpet, she doesn't care what I listen to or do. Then again, I was 18, almost 19, when the first Silent Hill came out, and Mom's a pretty open-minded old bird.

The front of it was the band looking like they always do. The back was a picture of Dani standing behind the text: "Children of a Lesser God". I wore it once before it dissapeared, and my mom decided to have a little "chat". I dont think she understands the band does it for the shock value.

I'm really interested off and on in Kemetic religion, but the rituals always turn me off eventually. Love the gods, but somehow the system doesn't gel with me. House of Netjer, Per Ankh... I've looked at a bunch of groups and none of them seem to fit. And I don't think I'm comfortable adopting the gods without the structure of the relgion. Asatru is much more appealing but I've always resisted its pull for some reason.

Thank you! 4laugh heart Hmm... I've got a birthday coming up... *thinks* A saltlamp is something like this Aesi: It is made of salt and is supposed to give of positive ions to help cope with the negative ions that supposedly the tv and sigaretts give off. rolleyes Or you just enjoy the soft focussy light for those romantic moments. 4laugh

As counter intuitive as it is, negative ions (anions) are good for your body and mind and positive ions (cations) are bad for you. Rock salt lamps do indeed emit anions and the science backs it up, afaik
