Yuki kept her eyes on the floor. Even though she was only 17, she knew very well how to be well-mannered.
"I require nothing, Okaa-san. You're giving me a roof over my head, and that is more than I can ask for," she said timidly. She had to be on her best behavior if she had any hope of a real life. Some of her long, silky hair fell in her face.
Quickly trying to brush it behind her ears she hastily added "I swear that I will try my hardest Okaa-san."

Chibi sat looking at Omny. " Omny-chan, I do know the way that an okiya is set up, I know how a geisha is to be, but sadly...I feel that I do not meet the standers for being a geisha, I do not have the confadeice like you and I know that I lack the beauty that many of the women that have the title geisha have, I would know that from asking people in my village..." She stopped she was crossing into a topic that would only leave her feeling even more home sick and saddened.

Omny sighed and pouted. " I wasn't explaining how it works, I was explaining the status here and who you should respect." she said coldy. Omny smiled though " Only few poeple in the world are born beautiful" she paused Like me " But the beauty you think of is obtained through blood and sweat and self torture." she explained. " Now as a maid, I would like you to be humble and not ask for things, additionaly to your regular chores I would want you to clean my room ever three days." she said before leaving the room she was in with Chibi.

As Omny left Chibi stood up and walked out of the room with a dark arua around her if it could be senced. Stepping back to the maids quarters she put her old yukata on and went to start scrubbing the floor.
She could feel Omny's words burning into her mind breaking her even more as she looked at her reflection in the water. She no longer could think of her self the way that she thought she could, then she turned away from the water.
'She's wrong...I'll show her!' She growled lightly to her self. She wasn't going to let anything hold her back, she finished her cleaning and then went to find Omny.
She walked up the stairs to the geisha room, she knocked on the door. " Exsucse me, Omny-sama, May I please clean your room or would you like me to come back later?" She asked politly.

When Tohru finished eating, she walked over, still trying to float, and put away the dish. She bowed at Tora saying, "I will be right back."
'I want to congratulate Omny for becoming a geisha,' she thought smiling.
She walked out, still practicing her grace and "floatyness". She walked up the stairs and saw a maid knocking at the door asking for Omny. Torhu smiled and stood next to the maid.
"I need to talk to Omny-chan as well. Who are you? I'm Tohru," she greeted doing a polite bow.

"good girl" Umemi said "you may go now but please get Omny for me if you will?" she asked before turnng to her desk and getting some parchment and a quill to write with. She waited for Omny to come to her room so she can have a word

Yuki stood, still looking at the floor. "I shall retrieve Omny-san and then begin some house work," she said. She gave a quick bow and briskly made her way out of the office. She looked around and headed up the stairs.
"Omny-san?" her pretty voice called out. She used to sing, but that was years ago. Before being sold. Before servatude. She looked around before heading back downstairs.
"Omny-san? Okaa-san needs to speak with you," she called out again. Honestly, she was nervous about meeting Omny. She recalled what Tora had told her, and hoped that it would be fine.
"Omny-san?" she called out again, this time in a sing-song voice. She put her hand on her hip and bit her bottom lip. If she couldn't manage this simple task, she'd get the boot for sure.

She looked out the door hearing her being called. She saw a maid and Tohru " Tohru! I havn't seen you since in a while! ...." before she could catch up and chat with Tohru Omny heard a maid calling her to Okaa-san. She turned to the maid quickly " Latter, in two days." She said after hugging Tohru and running to Okaa-san's room. " You called for me?" she asked peeking her head through the door.

Akemi looked around the kitchen for anything else she could clean. When she saw nothing, she quietly slipped out of the kitchen, and into the garden.
She loved this place, it was so beautiful and peaceful. She smelt the flowers and went to sit down on the grass for a while, before returning to her chores.

Tohru opened her mouth to talk but Omny had already run towards Okaa-sana's room. She looked down the stairs and saw Tora-onee-sama and Hara were still busy with breakfast.
'I'll just wait here,' she thought. Tohru looked back towards the maid who was originally standing there, wondering if she would tell her, her name.

Umemi turned and motioned for Omny to enter, "I wanted to have a word with you" Umemi said in her soft but firm voice. "I have seen that you have been a bit ubrupt with the maikos who have just entered" she looked pointedly at Omny and put down her quill. "I want you to make sure you are polite to the maikos and anybody you encounter, it will only serve you well to give good manners" Umemi explained. "I shall ask that you remeber how you were treated as a maiko and please try to treat others how you would like to be treated, now other than that I wanted to talk to you about the ceremony" she said.

Chibi stood and went to the down stairs and walked to the area of the okiya that lead out doors. She took a step out and smiled. " It's wounderful out here!" She squeaked as she walked out on to the grass.
She saw the other girl that was sitting outside. " Hello...May I ask you your name?" She asked her sitting down next to her. "I'm Chibi." She told her gladly.

Tohru furrowed her brow a little when the maid simply left without saying anything. She sighed and shook her head, telling herself it wasn't worth getting angry over. She decided to walk downstairs and sit in the kitchen with Tora and Hara.
She walked normally, a little perturbed. However, she smiled and remembered herself as she sat down again.

Hara had just come back into the kitchen.... and sat next to her sisters.... asking "Would you like any help making breakfast Onee-Chan?".... waiting for her to reply.... Hara smiled at Tohru and lightly touched her hand....

Yuki briskly shuffled into the kitchen, noticing that a few other inhabitants of the okiya had gathered there. She stopped for a moment, noticing that the kitchen was already spotless.
What should I do? I'll just have to try to make myself usefull!
She quickly made her presence known, standing before the girls. "Good morning everyone," she said brightly, giving a deep bow. She thought for a moment before speaking again.
"I'm the new maid in this Okiya, would you like me to cook for you?" she asked, hoping that she would be able to make a good impression.
