not pessemistic. the dang thing says ARENA. arenas are for fighting. they want an all gaia avi contest, then they should have called it 'Gaia AVI Idol' or something.

I don't really care what they called it.
It's not "people" getting 50k every week. It's ten users. Which shouldn't make much of a difference. 50k is easly blown on one thing, and those people who aren't on muhc won't enter because of the cost.
