Ok, so the sword essentially allows you to hurt an otherwise invincible being? Or does it annihilate them? Or both?

Both. You cant kill something if it doesnt hurt them to begin with.

Hmm.
Ragnarok can injure otherwise invincible beings/gods, but only in its true form. It can't annihilate them though. It can only inflict damage, and relies solely on the wielder's skill with the sword. It just essentially levels the playing field. Of course, that kind of power can't just be used at will. It requires a certain level of "Epic Story Battle" to be unleashed. It won't ever be seen in something that isn't "Event-Class Action."
