It shorts out lightsabers. Its not titanium. There is a difference when you work with a metal that brittle.

Its not particularily strong, i know that much. But i got to think of something that I can use so that I have a weapon that can counter the cortosis so that everyone doesn't go all wicked and suddenly find a stash the size of yavin's eight moon and have something to counter a lightsaber.

Though the only thing coming to mind at the minute is alchemaic metals. i wonder...

Any strike capable of sundering a sword blade.
Thats one of the reasons Link and Hiko favored the sword.
It wont short out and with the right aplication of Force, power, and Technique, you can sunder someone else's cortosis blade.
The onl real thing Cortosis has going for it is its heat conductive properties, which is why its used inside blaster barrels to keep them from melting.

But its a rare metal to begin with. I didn't think there was that much to spend on producing barrels...

I mean, it basically is titanium. Brittle, but strong in its own respective sense. When it breaks, it shatters.

And I was just wondering what could destroy it other than simply using the force.
