The warm energies sank into his body, his head felt less light, and the sore on the back of his head faded. he literally knocked himself out to get out of that conversation. When his eyes opened, as he expected, Vierna was leering over him, with several of her sisterhood. "Great..."

"No need to thank us beloved, we are only instruments of Chaos. And you are chaos." Vierna said, as she bated the other women away. Tarathiel used that brief moment to rise to his feet and dust himself off. His armour was still missing links where the arrow pierced through his mail. His right hip was too light, from the missing sword and protable hole. He sighed as he looked about the room, just as he had forseen, she travelled with light company. The Nineteenth Light Company. She brought a miniture leagon with her. Just like his family to paraide around with large escorts, then again, in another society those escorts probably were not necessary for survival. Three of Tarathiel's older siblings were still murdered with leagons escorting them around.

Three more died in the wars that his mother iniated anway. Six dead siblings, and seven still alive. Eight living children, and Uthegentel. As loving an aristocratic family as there ever was amongst the drow.

The drow prince sighed, "Sister, where is my Portable Exit, and this sword you mentioned."

"A kiss for the Exit, and a little more for the sword." Vierna said without missing a beat.

"Lolth with frown on you for interferring with her son's mission."

"I thought you did not believe yourself to be the son of Chaos?"

"I believe in what will get me that sword, dearest Sister." Sadly, Vierna was probably the most beloved member of his family... Even if she did take advantage of him when he was young, and that she obsesses over him, and fawns over him, and tries to be the mother of his children so frequently it partially drove him to the sea, as she followed him when he was leading armies about the countryside.

"What are your plans?"

"Chaos does not plan."

"Then, how do you cordinate you movements?"

"The trick is to never know what exactly is going to happen, the plan is to be flexiable."

"Never leave home without your heavy sweeater, beloved."

"Yes, don't wanna be caught without that."

"You speak wierd. What would mother think."

"Mother would think I have to much time on my hands to be talking. I am a fighter, when I am not in battle, I am useless."

"Why did you leave without me?" Vierna asked somewhat bewildered, she seemed genuinely hurt by Tarathiel's absence. For a brief moment, Tarathiel felt sorry for her.

"Because, mother would not like that."

"She said I could come to you."

"She saw the explosion, or at least, something similar to what happened. Did it rain my blood from the sky, and did the Lady of Chaos destroy our homeland?"

"Clever, you know how the wizards love to toy with the Priestesses."

"All wizards enjoy to toy with others, they are beyond mortal."

"Mortal?"

"A word to describe something that can die."

Vierna looked at her little brother, and frowned. She did not want to give up this oppertunity to consemate the arranged marriage, of which Tarathiel knew nothing, but probably would have guessed. "I made you a special sword, It is as sharpe and quick as your other ones, but also can drain the life force of your enemy if you command it to do so."

"Only on command?" Tarathiel smiled, such weapons backfired when used agains undead, a command would mean he could use the sword all the time.

"Indeed. I call it, Ussta'chev." She smiled softly, and pulled the weapon which was wraped in a black cloth from her belt. She placed the thing on the ground before her, and knelt beside it. "I made it three hundred years ago, and improved it every centry since."

Tarathiel was touched. This was truly unique, an expression of love from a priestess of Choas... "Bel'la dos."

Quite the flinch when they grabbed onto her, but a moment of held breath and a swallow, clearing her voice so it didn't crack set her straight again...tyring to keep from trembling too. But she just had to remind herself it was Juan and Jell. But a look to the winged mare as Piper had stalled her and slipped off her reins, the horse going to chew on some hey. The thing looked pretty hungry. Another look down to the imps. "It's a horse. A winged one. Humans call them a pegusus." Then a slight smile. "Well you can't eat her...and she won't try to eat you. She's just scared and feeling alone...her rider left her." Funny, because of the same poeple, Terran and Kaden, Piper was also feeling scared and alone. Those two good for nothing elves seemed to have that affect, didn't they? Serino and Nerian were as per usual, quite interested in the horse...of coure a little fuss from Nightmare set Serino straight.

Eliot Smiled

"Yes I think those will do." Again not thinking about the culture she was in, she triped herself naked, tossing her clothing into Roarke's own pile. She took the silk and began wrapping herself at the legs. she kept the wrapping tight to prevent it from inhibiting her movements. She moved up her torso and down her arms. Very careful she wrapped up her hands, tucking in loose ends. Finally she covered her neck and face. Feeling like a huntress again she took back her cloak, and removed the face mask she had fasioned herself, and put the cloak around her shoulders. She moved around Roarke's room, moving her body in odd ways, stretching, jumping and even pouncing, to make sure that ntohign was loose. When she was satisfied she lloked back at Roarke an smiled.

"Thank you, I feel like my old self again."

Jell sniffled. "Aw..that is so sad."

Jaun nodded. "We won't eat her! She's too pretty!" The two crawled up on the stall door to get a better look at the mare, but were too shy to get into the horses stall. They knew from experiance that the other horses din't loike that very much.

"Me and Jell are never alone"

"We do everything togther."

Jaun and Jell smiled together, flashed fangy smiles at Piper. "We're twins!" They said togethe, in a sort of eerie two tone voice.

A smile at them both as she went and hung the elven made reins on the wall then returned to the stall, leaning on the door that Jell and Juan were crawling on. "Indeed you two are. It's nice to know that you're never alone, isn't it? Sometimes being alone can be a very...hard thing." She would know, she had spent a good decade or two alone. But another smile to them. "Yes, she is pretty, isn't she?" Then a look back to the mare. "Don't worry winged chestnut...you're not alone." She propped her elbows on the edge of the door, cradling her chin in her palms. "Wonder what her name is..." A look to Nerain...because she didn't want to get Serino in more trouble with Nightmare. "Nerian...can you be a dear and ask her her name?"

Roarke threw a hand around her shoulder once more. "That's good, that's very good. You see, your wolf's soul is going to be very important soon, very very." He ushered her back out the room and through the complicate twists and turns and what not until they reached the main foyer. He sat Eliot down on the bench that ran around the fountain. He looked straight into her eyes.

"This is really, really important. You can't screw this up. Screw it up, and a lot of innocent poeple are going to die. Got it?"

"I was alone once," said Jaun. "It was the hardest time of my life! I hate it, and I promissed I'd never be alone again."

Jell nodded. "Oh man, that was tough! I never want to remember that time!"

"Me neither."

"Hey look, we're all together now! Isn't that nice?" Jaun tugged at his ear a bit. Jell kicked the stall door, for the sake f making noise.

"Yes it is nice that we're all togehter. After all, no one likes to be alone, so we shouldn't be alone. Right?" A little breeze went through the stables, rattling a bit of tack and the like, stirring dirt and hay, and anything else on the floor that the imps had managed to scatter about. A soft noise to the mare from Nerian, where she pawed at the ground, giving a noise back. Then that little breeze washed over the three at the stall door, messing with thier hair and clothes. A look to each imp in turn as she tucked some hair behind her ear. "Her name's Anica."

Onyx did more than throw them in, he opened the door, opked his big furry head in, got a wide eye gaping jawed look, and handed her silks to her while looking like he was seeing the most amazing thing in teh world.

"Here. I heard you crying, I hope it's not somethign I did."

Malik got very serious for a moment.

"If I can't keep them both at bay, I'll have no choice but to fortify myself through extraplanar help. or leave. I don't want to leave another home behidn anymore. and after all that Piper's gone through, promising to stay, giving up the surface...I wouldn't want to throw that all away. Jiscal I coudl handle. I few deals and I'll put him in his place. or simply let teh dwarves overrun him. it's the Captian that's the real threat. him and those after him."

Kieran nodded. Mostly at what he said about Piper. "Indeed...she's not even, what? Two hundred yet and she's already putting away her wanderlust and she's been through quite a few trials. And the stability of a permanent home is always a good thing to have." A sweep of the room with his eyes, taking little notes in his head as he conducted conversation. "You make Deep Water sound bad off...though I suppose that's for the best. Break down their slave trade on elves and the like...sometimes the mighty need to fall to have a clear view of things." Sympathize like anyone else he knew much? Then a look back to Malik. "Well, you're both Drow...I'm sure he's just as irritated with you as you are with him."

Eventually, Juan and Jell took back to messing up the place, chucking horseshoes at each other, flicking feed at once anohter...if they could play with something then they did. Good thing they didn't register pain or else they would be in a lot of it? Piper? Back to her little list surveying, every now and then chastising imps...or horses for that matter. Oh indeed, Nightmare was quite mad at her for bringing in Anica...and Nightmare was known to hold a grudge. Just what Piper needed...Nightmare mad at her...

It is. they are forced to release the slaves, because Dimitri spent all thier money trying to locate me and beefing his military. Jiscal has come into possession of a crippled kingdom..with no magical defense, the dwarves are moving agasint them, thier military is nearly gone, and what they have they can't pay and the people are starving now."

A small shake of his head.

"Hopefully if I can help him with teh dwarves, then I secure Deepwater as at least a non threat. By the way, see anything you like?"

PostPosted: Thu Oct 20, 2005 10:57 pm

"Money, the ever crippling factor of any society should it start to run in short supply." Though admittedly Kieran never had that problem...well when your main export was mithril...yeah didn't have to worry much at all. "But given the kingdom in such a state, if Captain Tarathiel did want control of thins, wouldn't he want to be taking care of the dwarf issue?" Then again Kieran rethought that...Tarathiel was a Drow after all, they worked their plans in their own ways, even Malik. And Malik also made his own sense. If he could get on Deep Water's good side, the place would really leave him alone. Though a raised eyebrow at the dark elf at his question. "See anything I like? Malik, I'm a scholor...some call me an eccentric scholar at that. Whatever I see I tend to like and that's all there is to it..."

Aella frowned, took her silks, placed palm on Onyx's nos, and pushed his head back out the door gently. "Can't let you know my secret to wrapping silk." Perhaps it was lie, but she had been so used to wearing the silks that they felt like protection. She knew it was flawed logic, the silks were completely sheer, see through. It was silly. But still...

She cleared her throat, began to wrap herself. "It's nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Besides, if it had been you, I would have slugged you."

"Tarathiel is a servant of chaos. and the leader of the swarves is probably a slave of his, hence why he is 'trained by him'. Jiscal was put in power by tarathiel as well. so it's a win win for him. no matter who controls the city, Tarathiel owns them. As for seeing anything you like...I ment something you might want to keep for yourself. A gift from a future son in law."

He got his big head pushed out, but at least not punched. and he coudln't help but nuzzle her hand lightly when she pushed his head, and sat by her staff, waiting. and the longer he waited, the more he wanted to touch it, and the more he wanted to hold it and see just what it was supposed to be able to do.

Aella toweled her hair spme before leaving the bathing room, although she wouldn't be able to get it very dry. It stuck to her skin, plastered around her neck and shoulders. She hoped the cold water had gotten rid of her swollen eyes. lest they catch her in her lie.

She stood with on hand clasping her elbow in front of her, covering ehr up some. "Um...thanks."
