BlueRoseTorn I love the pill to death, I just have a problem with the side-effects: I would only very rarely get cramps, but now I get killer cramps nearly every period. My boobs also get unbearably sore during the fourth week. And, my appetite's not the same since I've been on it (as in, I rarely get hungry. Which can be good, as I did have the tendancy to overeat, but now, because I don't have my tummy grumbling as a reminder, I forget to eat, sometimes. And then I get sick sweatdrop ). Really? Cuz if you're having really bad side effects maybe you should ask your doctor to put you on a different one. I get fewer cramps and an unchanged appetite from what it was before. Overall I heart the pill. Of course, I would heart it even more if I were getting any sex. stressed Phoenix: Friendly fire isn't. wink Tea: Poo. I'm well beyond the resistance stage at this point. Any recommendations for getting rid of the bloody thing?

phoenix shadowwolf missmagpie Tea Didikai This year- nothing to chance. I am putting myself on the pill and going out of town for a romantic weekend. Ooh I like the pill! It makes much non-hassle about so many things! more predictable periods, forwarning to loved ones about mood swings, more dependable to "plan" for other things... 3nodding yes, mucho love the scientists that created that thing. If I ever went on the pill I'd need someone reliable to call me every day and remind me to take it. sweatdrop Second boyfriend - I was going to surprise him by going on the pill. He broke up with me before I had a chance (I was at college). Heh.

In my BC experience, I love the Mirena IUD. Completely stopped my periods (fantastic for someone of my gender persuasion), and I don't even have to think about it. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

The b***h of it is that I need to be on the pill to regulate my period--otherwise it's completely unpredictable. Twenty days? Fourty days? Seventy days? (Yes, it was literally that bad.) And with me working and in school now, I don't want to be unsure of when I'll get it, and how heavy the flow will be. I'd rather not relive the horrors of high school and middle school. gonk Plus, there's no way I'm only relying on condoms. I'll gladly take the icky side-effects if it means I remain baby free.

There's a new version... newring, I think? It's not a pill but it uses a much lwoer dose of hormones in order to achieve it's goal. A friend of mine who'se an ateypical diabetic and has issues with progesterone and estrogen was using it and said it lessened her side effects significantly.

I'll ask my gyno about it when I go for my dreaded annual in Febraury, but it will all depend on money-stuff. See, my mom works at the office as a receptionist, so my gyno just gives me the sample packs for free after writing my prescription, so I won't have to buy them. If it's expensive, then I'm afraid it'll be out.

It was bad. There were other complications too. But it's also possible that switching the pill so much is what makes it so bad. There are times when switching a brand makes the whole world topsy turvy. Damn hormones... Quote: Plus, there's no way I'm only relying on condoms. It wasn't a "right in a row" kind of thing. I was on Orthotricyclin for three months, then off it for one month, then put on the second one (which made me bleed nonstop for the last two weeks of that month). I was given another month off, then put on this one. sweatdrop What confuses me about it is that all three of the pills I've beeon have been the "light" kind. Oh well. Like I said, no babies = happiness. 3nodding

If it's expensive, then I'm afraid it'll be out. Yeah, that sounds right! If I ever need to go on BC again I'm planning on using the patch to test my reaction to the hormones, and getting depo or the implants if it goes well. The less I need to fuss with something the more likely it'll work. sweatdrop I really wish I had a mure reliable nature. I don't know anything about the cost, though.

After that it was fine. I've been on it for over two years now, no mishaps. It really does depend on how well your body reacts with it though. I've known other people to have a really tough time. Deoridhe I don't know anything about the cost, though. In Ireland they have this really good thing about public healthcare. There are clinics called WellWoman clinics where you can go to get checkups (those cost money) and the pill, which is virtually free if you're in certain circumstances. Ireland's great for affordable healthcare. Just don't go near a hospital.

Am I the only one who thinks that he's also the white power guy that keeps posting in ED main? The guy with about 10,000 different accounts? I put 100 gold on two days. xd Edit: So he doesn't hate those nasty, ebuhl Jews anymore? Just because the Church has said so? That kind of logic really fries my sick little brain. sweatdrop
