Sellesion KuroKageHane OmgIknowright. emotion_bigheart emotion_kirakira I just hope he tells us how it went! ( > w <) / Exactly! Boys will be boys, but then the wife could do the same as well. sweatdrop I know right?! Since diamond can cut through a lot of things, they're bound to be ninja and go steal something. ninja Eww. > < Bulky and cluttered just ain't my style~ Maybe if it's on an avi it's okay or where ever it's looks the best, but otherwise not on myself. > < I would be so annoyed to keep on shifting that ring if it keeps drooping to the side/feels uncomfortable gonk Yush! emotion_kirakira Oh that's true. >> Ya know, I've heard that women cheat as much as men... so why is it that cheating is assumed of men more it seems? True.. if teh diamiond ring is sharp enough.. o3o But I bet a lot of those trophy wives aren't that smart, or don't need to go steal stuff; since their guys can afford rings like that in the first place. >< Much agreed. >w< Really? Hmm . . . . Cheating is more assumed with men probably because it's part of their stereotype. Back in the day, men had all the power, they still do today if you look close enough, and could do anything they wanted. From beer to clubs, everything was at the palm of their hand. Women were viewed as a saintly angel of some sort, thus cheating wasn't very common and if you did cheat, you would be shamed upon. They were restricted to the thing they could do, not being able to vote and do "things that only a man can do". So it is reasonable to see why cheating leans more towards the man. Well, at least in my prospective. Trophy wives are probably only for display. Hence the word "trophy". sweatdrop But we could be over thinking this since it is a stereotypical thing. o 3 o

suishohatake lol yeah it's not too bad right now ^^ And yeah... my sister's bff runs a daycare in town that's becoming fairly popular and they get some nice state grants for single moms like me who can't afford a regular daycare/babysitting service, but have to work, so she was more than happy to help me out there. =) I do already miss getting to spend the whole day with him, but you're right... I'll get used to it soon. Okay... I'll try to explain the whole deal, but it might get a little confusing so feel free to make me clarify anything I don't xD Typically we want to save good quality estate jewelry from being melted down because if you take, say, the family heirloom necklace to the "gold buyer" at a mall kiosk or anything like that, you don't get money for any of the stones, or how nicely taken care of and old the piece might be... to them, it's just a piece of precious metal and they go melt it and you get only a fraction of the melt value. We want really nice period pieces to stay in circulation and not wind up being melted down since it's more than just jewelry by that point... it's pretty much historical. It's beneficial to the seller because we will wind up paying a premium over what a gold buyer would since we know it's worth more than melt value. But not everything we are sold fits into that realm and that's where I come in. Typically after a buying team comes back from a trip (the city I live in has a fiercely competitive precious metals buying community so we travel around the southern states setting up shows to buy through a dept. store chain we have a contract with) I separate out the good stuff from the items that are pretty much only worth the melt value. From there, I take the pile that is going to wind up being melted and remove the stones from those pieces that have them... I have once held a bag of gold worth about $80k after I was finished pulling stones. o.o;;; Once I get all the stones pulled, I weight out any different purities of the metal for record keeping and send off the gold or silver to be melted down and exchanged for a fat check xDHope that explains it a little bit... I also work with coins and other inventory... The other two office girls are working on helping one of my boss' art clients sell off their late father's collectibles and two pieces are... well... in pieces , so I'm gonna try to epoxy them back together and see if they will look worth of putting up on our eBay site, lol xD Wait until I get to college. I'm going to be running like a chicken with its head off. gonk Hooray! She's so nice for taking care of him for you~ Well, at least you do have time for him, right? Speaking of babies, one of my younger uncles just got his second son! I believe he's younger than Skylar by like 2~3 months. And he's so adorable! > w < So old heirloom-like things are kept b/c the stones are good as well while the other jewelry gets melted down, weighed, and sold off? What's epoxy? O:
