The match was off to a decent start, as Kas noted Csuri spotted the Snitch nearly straight off, although it looked as though Hes was already getting frustrated as Tambry not only collected the initial face-off, and stole the ball back from his favourite Chaser. The Russian found he needed to push away thought of a similar mid-winter match from last year and its aftermath, particularly the aftermath. Before his mind could stray, Kas spotted movement, not the Snitch, but a Bludger streaking toward his Captain. Without a second thought, he leaned into a hard turn and moved to intercept…
... It wasn't his best effort, but Kas managed to get the toe of his Beater bat on the iron cannonball, causing it to shift off course and miss Csuri before sailing off in a random direction.

The game had begun. Zoe took off and circled the pitch, flying up high to get a better view of the starting action. Ravenclaw had the quaffle, so that was good, but it looked like maybe Slytherin had spotted the snitch already? She could never fully tell, those things were too small and fast for her to ever see. Either way, with Csuri in the clear, this was her chance to take the offensive. Zoe dove down, easily finding a bludger to swing at as she took aim at the Slytherin seeker.

Hesperia huffed angrily when Tambry slipped through her grasp, feeling much like she had during the match against Gryffindor. At least Vikram was still able to do his job.
