 We were supposed to go out tonight to Shreveport, but instead they decided to stay home and grill ribs. Which, isn't so bad, I don't mind that. Its the fact that they're using it as an excuse to sit around and drink with -their- friends. Not any of mine.

My family has this thing for making guests feel welcome, so they make sure that the guests are enjoying themselves even if it was my b-day. I don't mind that at all since we hardly see each other much through out the year, and I am quite used to having just cake for my b-day, cut it, take your share, and go about your own business. I'm not the partying type, so I may think differently.
But to use your special day as an "excuse" for another person? That's just plain rude... :/

t h e C a r d M a s t e r Lol.. At least you get a cake. XD You know what my first b-day cake was like? It was apple pie with clown-face shaped candies placed on top. I don't know whether that had any influence on me being a big fan of apple pies though. o.o;

Your first cake was a pie. It all makes now! Makes sense? What, are you referring to "The cake was a lie"? xD My family used to celebrate everyone's b-day enthusiastically, even though it's just cake, chips, and soda back then, but we've grew out of kids stage and times are a bit tough (leaving us with cake bought by my sister). We be Asians too.

What type of Asian? I'm Korean. :3 We always celebrate our grandparents birthdays with big family reunions with lots of Korean food. My parents might get a party with their friends, while us kids get to choose what to eat for dinner. XD
