At first I was going to throw bricks...but the chinchilla is okay, so I'm good.

I'll see if I can't get in some of Ton's journal into the histories of Lab. today.

Doing groceries, then I'll be back for the weekend...wilst doing homework of course.

Random Fact of Randomness:

'Ramoth' is drow for 'Nightmare'

Ramoth is also the name of Anne McCaffrey's Gold Dragon who under Lessa repopulated a large portion of Pern with dragons.

Ramoth-gilead is a city of ancient Palestine, E of the Jordan. It is named in the Bible as a place of refuge and as Ahab's last battlefield. It also appears as Ramah.

Yay for Random Drivel from someone who has too much work to do as of late...

Stupid school getting in the way of what is important, Role playing.

I thought that name was familiar...shows how long it's been since I picked up and Anne McCaffery book...wow.

Free time much?
PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2005 12:22 pm

LOL, free time?

I saw that a while ago... I used it to sleep. That was nice, a whole eight hours straight of rest.

*grumbles*

No sleep and no RP make Azaireal something something...

She makes you flinch?

Don't mind if I do!

*goes crazy*

((from the better years of the Simpsons...))

Well, Az has to get back to work so he can have free time later.

THe sooner he finishes "Machines as the Measure of Men" the better.

I never knew that it was actually the Chinese bureacracy that influnced the emperor out of foriegn trade and the like...

Hey, did you know that the Christians were the reason that the Japanese had such strong anti-Foreigner laws? They couldn't get along (the protestants and catholics and such) and caused to much of a ruchas, which caused the Japs to wisely deport them all and forbid Euros from entering most of Japan.

Eventually, only the dutch were allowed to trade with Japan, but after the decline in Netherlandish power in the mid seventeenth century, they had to allow the Brits and other groups to take over. (Around 1640, The netherlands disintegrated because they had too much wealth and power and not enough people. They expanded too well...)

((Anne McCaffry has bad grammer and poor story development))

I really can't stand McCaffry's writing.

Pitcure this:

Pages upon pages are spent outlining usless s**t, detail that is uneeded, and the book I read was mostly the main character's sexual frustraitons, which got real old, real fast. Then, she spends two paragraphs on the climax of the book.

*ponders on it* Okay, you're made your point. In fact I really only liked maybe two books out of whole thing. I liked Ruth the White Dragon and then Dragon's Kin...which her son mostly wrote.

The white dragon was the one that I read.

It made me physically sick. No fooling.

It is the only book that I ever bought, then brought to a used book store.

*shrugs* I just liked Ruth because he had that character flaw that I happen to like.

Then again I read these all when I was oh...twelve. But still...I liked the character not the writing.
