He looked a little confused there for a moment, and she giggled. "No, I think you're blushing because of me." Still mixing the purple as she crawled over to him and kissed him again then swiped it onto his ears as well before tapping him on his nose. So he had purple paint pretty much streaked on his face. "Yes, I know. But it's more fun to make them and I can play with different color patterns. Like this. Maybe I should call this Malikhai's Blush."

"She likes to help me find things because she gets to stomp on them and clean them up." It was a good deal in the child's eyes. After all, she got bones and Ramoth got a snack. Everyone won in the end. "It's big and it's not dead. Yet." Being the key word as they headed to the stables and she ran to, and somewhat into the door of Ramoth's stall. "Ramoth! We gotta go check the thingy again!"
It took him a moment to process before it suddenly hit him, after his mind being blanked for a second by her ear touching, and he gave a laugh. "Oh, I get it. You silly woman. Reaching up and swiping some paint off his face, which only smeared it more, and looked at the color staining his fingers. "I don't know, it's a bit light to be called that."

Looking over at his wife and opening Ramoth's stall after moving his daughter away from the door some, and glancing at Ramoth.
"Interesting bargain there."
before looking at his wife.
"Large and not dead yet. and this is obviously not the first time you've gone to check on it. and it's too big for Ramoth to finish it off?"

Tilting her head at her husband, she glanced down at the color in the bowl and then at the color on his face. "I think you're just embarrassed because you blush a really pretty purplish color. It's kind of...girly." Giggling softly and then adding a bit more of the berry to darken up the color the slightest bit. "I was thinking of doing a more naughty portrait of you and it might very well cause you to blush which then I would be obliged to paint as an artist." Snickering again. "You shouldn't reverie in an artist's presence, Khai."

"Don't look at me. I'm not surprised. I'm more surprised she's picked up understanding the horse and the horse likes her so easily." Shaking her head as the girl was forever running into things, but at least she was sturdy. Pointing a finger at Ramoth though, "You are an enabler. Do you know that?" And moving over to get Serino. "Must not be too dangerous, even if it is big."
"She says that she doesn't want to go through the trouble. It's really big and really angry. She bit it a few times but that's all." Listening to the horse and instead of reaching for her like usual she let daddy deal with the saddle and what not since he liked to use one. But when that was done, she backed up to the horse and offered the back of her tunic to her. "Come on, I haven't seen it in a while."
Of coruse with the types of horses they had it wasn't too far of a trip before something was definitely making noises down in a fissure that had opened up obviously during one of the last earthquakes and she pointed. "It's there." Of course she was pointing at thin air.
And her child could have fallen into a giant crack in the ground. How lovely to know. Ramoth probably prevented that on a few occassions. Dismounting she moved to stand at the edge of the crevice and looked down into it. "Well...I would be a very angry jerheg too if I was wedged into that tiny space and unable to get out and thus slowly starve to death." Because that is what was wriggling around down there.
He rolled his eyes. "First my best friends says my eyes are girly and now you're calling my girly when I can't help things. Though I can blame my dad for that. Damn complexion genetic inheretence." he gave a snicker snort at his own mock teasing before raising an eyebrow at her. She was never afraid of anything when she was tackling it from her artist's perspective. "What you don't have enough portraits of me?" She liked to use him as a test subject for her new little technique ideas and such.

Malik smirked lightly.
"Ramoth liking her is a surpise. I'm not surprised though at her speaking to the horses. so far all our kids picked that up from you."
But when they got to where they were going, and he looked over his wife's shoulder.
"Well that's worrisome. Jhereg's may not be the most graceful on the ground, but they are quick on thier feet. that crevice must have opened up pretty fast to catch it and keep it from scrambling out."
Glancing at his wife.
"Want to finish it off, or leave it lay?"

"No it's not...she feeds her things that you normally wouldn't because you don't want her getting all treated out. If someone was promising me cinnamon everyday, I'd probably be more inclined to help them too." Shaking her head as she was sharing the worry as well, built up more evidence of things. "Big cracks in the ground, big rocks falling overhead, sounds like a receipe for disaster to me." This plane seemed to steadily be going to hell. But she looked over her shoulder to Malik.
"Wow...she played you that easily. She does have you wrapped around her finger." Chuckling to that before shaking her head and looking back to the reptile. Because of course Malik and Savryn sharing somthing in common meant the girl was ceasing opportunities to make him interested. She had succeeded again. "I'm pretty sure that's the exact reason she wanted you to come out here. Ramoth can't kill it...but daddy can and would."

"That may be, but daddy is more picky. kill it and she tries to raise it and can't control it we have a problem. Undead jhereg would be nasty. leave it lay and eventually things are going to come looking for a trapped meal. kill it and don't le her raise it we have the same problem, unless one of us wants to go down and try to unwedge it so it falls deeper."
Glancing at his daughter.
"How big is your biggest pet, Savryn?"

"Yeah but kill it, strip it to bones and store it for later till she can use it sounds like a good backup plan to me. I pay attention to these things you know. I just don't like to talk about them. They make me crave sun for some strange reason." Crossing her arms then and clicking her tongue against her teeth. "What do you mean one of us? You mean you. Even if I'm the better climber. You know how they're my sons when they're being fickle and such? Well...she's your daughter right now."
She was quietly standing between horses, listening and feeling things in her own way. Her name drew her attention though to them. "Um...big as Ramoth."

"Fair enough. I like your plan too."
before giving a raise of a brow at his daughter, and looking at ramoth, and back.
"and is it a horse? and how did you get it?"

"No. It's a bird kitty." Or at least that's what it was to her. Wasn't quite a bird, wasn't quite a cat. Kinda both and not more one than the other. But another point to the nightmare. "I felt it and Ramoth took me to it. She helped."

"A bird kitty. that's not a common animal to the underfoot. manticores are usually surface animals. though I imagine with all the quakes and such more surface predators may be drawn in by wounded or dead animals. easy prey."
stroking his chin lightly, looking down at the jhereg.
"Can you control it very well? or does it strain your talents?"
Looking over at hsi wife a moment, speaking quieter.
"We may have to figure out some way to rein Ramoth within some kind of limit so she can't run all over the place when we don't want her too."
Which got an indignant snort and paw from the mare, shaking her mane in a 'try it and I'll eat your liver' manner.

"Nice. One more thing to worry about. I think this plane is trying to spite me on purpose." Shaking her head to that before crouching down at the ravine edge on her toes, watching the creature down there. Awesome balance was great. Though she gave a light chuckle as Ramoth diagreed. "Or rein in the child before she goes about doing things that really get her in trouble. Has that wood elf curiosity to her I suppose you could say.
"Not much." After all with the way she was training and using less than usual methods to boost farther quicker, she was advancing quite fast.

"Perhaps. Or maybe all the wisecracks we've been making about being smited got someone's attention."
giving her a slight smirk and looking down at the animal.
"alright then, you choose. you can either keep your manticore, or, you can have a jhereg. if the manticore strains you even a little bit, a jhereg might be more difficult. they are distant dragon cousins, and even as undead they have strong wills and can and will contest your control."
though a look at Ramoth.
"And don't backtalk me. Piper is right your an enabler. you should at least check in withone of us before you go taking her on a field trip."

"Now don't start talking like that. After all, I would expect to be smote long before now. Doing it now would just not be right because they've taken too long. Besides, I'm too pretty to be smote now." She did roll her eyes though as the two fought. In a way. "Says the man who often does things he's not supposed to or aren't a good idea. I wonder where the horse gets it from."
"Mmm...that one." Pointing in the direction of the creature. "Yup. That one." That one would be a lot more fun...and easier to control is she did it in her own special kind of way as well.
