Konoe was in a panic, rummaging through various stacks of books and papers, "Oh...oh dear..."

He sat back down, resting his forehead in his hands, "Where could it have gotten to?"

Then he leaned back and looked towards the ceiling, thinking of where he last used his journal. It was something that he didn't want others to see, but the thoughts of people reading through the book raced through his mind, "This is quite serious..."

Konoe rushed into the room where Reia was, and then saw that Nolan was awake, "Sorry to interrupt, but I must go soon."

He pulled out his tome, "I have recovered enough of my power to use that one memory erasure spell I spoke of earlier. The effects will only be temporary though since I don't have enough energy for the complete spell, but it should last until I get back."

He looked at Reia, "Do you wish for me to use it, or would you prefer to watch over Nolan as he is now?"

"Whatever you choose it to be," he gripped his collar lightly, though more from the thought of what could have happened to his journal than from the knowledge of what could happen to him after using the spell on Nolan.

"Uh..oh..oh dear..." Konoe took off his glasses to clean them, then placed them back on, "It is a journal that I write notes of my research in as well as things that have occurred in my life. There are other things written on the pages..." He rubbed the back of his neck, "You could say that the journal is in itself a sort of living entity, that requires nourishment to perform its task...and a very crucial one I might add. It is missing, so I must find it quickly."

Konoe was slightly relieved after seeing Reia smile, she doesn't appear to understand the consequences of the jour...it's probably better that way...no need to have anyone else worrying. He seemed to flinch, as though someone had just woke him up from a restful nap, "Eh..oh..yes..the spell!"

Konoe walked over to Nolan and placed his hand over Nolan's forehead while holding the tome in the other, "So will it be all of his memories or just a few?"

"I do not know...the effects to myself are different every time," Konoe gave a weak laugh, "You can rest assured that it won't kill me. The spell dislikes causing death. It prefers to pull a nasty prank on the summoner instead..."

He took a deep breath before faintly chanting the spell. The ink from the page with the spell on it wrapped around the hand that was holding the tome, and then swirled through the air and onto his other hand, which began to emit a eerie red glow. In a few seconds, Nolan's memory was buried deep within his mind and out of his reach. Konoe did not touch the memories that were essential for Nolan to function, "It is done. I hope this makes it easier for you to take care of him."

He gave a warm smile before turning around to leave. He didn't notice that his entire body became almost transparent, similar to how a specter might look like. He stopped, then turned around, "When Typhon comes back, please tell him I'll be out for a while."

Konoe lifted a hand, "Indeed...but transparency shouldn't be a problem so long as I have the capability of picking up my journal."

He tried to touch a wall to make sure, but instead his hand went right through, "Uh...oh dear...well at least I can stand by the journal until the effects wear off..."

He waved a farewell to Reia, and Nolan as well, before exiting his home. There were a few surprised screams from people who saw him, "Please...please, carry on with whatever task you were doing before."

Milo peered out of her window as screams erupted in the street nearby and blinked a bit at the spector stalking the streets.

"This is definitely a cooler place to live than home."
