Arianeira was surprised but secretly pleased. She returned the kiss and when she thanked him she really meant it. She stood up and for a minute she just looked down with him, still struggling to take in everything that had happened. It had all happened so quickly.

Real Space "Is that a yes?" Stratford asked softly as he, too, rose to his feet. He secretly prayed it was a yes. He didn't want to be seperated from her.

"It's a yes." She said softly, unable to tear her eyes away from his. She ran her right hand up her other arm self-consciously and was suddenly very aware of how much his presence filled the room. A small frown creased her brow as she wondered why she hadn't noticed it before.

Real Space Stratford would never work out how he didn't cheer. Instead he remained calm and replied in a faintly squeeky voice, "Shall i show you to your room?"

Arianeira didn't notice the rise in his voice as she was still only dimly aware of what was currently happening. She regretfully tore her eyes away and tried to organise her thoughts. "Yes, please." She managed finally, sounding slightly strangled.

Real Space Stratford offered his hand to her. If she took it, he would lead her to a doorway on the inital passage. He would show her the room across from hers, indicating it as his own, should she need him.

Arianeira didn't even hesitate before taking his hand. It felt... right somehow. It also sent another ripple of awareness soaring across her skin. She shivered slightly as he led her down the passage.

Arianeira looked round him into the room. She was pleased with what she saw. It was simply but elegantly furnished, and comfortable as well as practical. "It's lovely." She said softly.

"Resistance to what?" She asked, looking round at him with a slightly puzzled frown. She scrolled back through her memory but couldn't remember any sort of takeover taking place here.

"There used to be an empire that owned this planet. After a large fight that the Empire hid from being broadcast about, they withdrew and named this a commonwealth planet. Now Endret II is free." James smiled faintly at his words, looking out at the sea on the horizon.

"You did that?" Arianeira asked softly, studying his face again. There was so much about him that she didn't know, and she realised that she wanted to. She wondered if he was remembering some far-off battle here and suddenly felt slightly regretful that she hadn't been a part of it.

James drew himself from the sea with a wrench of his head. He cleared his throat and grinned, "Yeah, I helped get the resistance together, and helped them steal Imperial ships. Gave them their navy, and led it." He sighed sadly at a memory, "heavy losses..." His face went small and bitter. "Such wastes of life..."
