On another note , with all the research I did for the fancies , I have a tonne of photos of ships . So if anyone knows they want to play a captain and you have need of a ship , I've got one or two handy ( or twenty . . ) c:

I like the first one though.
I would like to point out that with the current story that is brewing up in my mind there will be a group of pirates and there will also be the option of working for a more legitimate sea-faring company (THE GUB'MENT). I'll have a whole big thing written up later, but basically there's a big pile of loot and group 1 (which basically amounts to a militia) wants to get to it while group 2 (the horrible jerk pirates) want to murder them and steal their sweet, sweet map. There will be some differences between the two, but it will remain mostly equal footing. y'know, just in case you hate pirates.
...Alright. I wasn't in that conversation, so I had no idea what was going on. It might've been helpful if he had summed it up in a post quoting everyone so that we knew what was going on.
Side Note: It's kind of annoying to be quoted a lot in this thread. I mean, I get that you guys are trying to start a role-play, but I don't think that I ever said I was going to partake. Maybe you could try to condense it to one message per day or something? (I'm not saying that I don't want to be quoted, because I don't know if I'm going to join at all. Steampunk sounds interesting, but... I'm more into plotted role-plays... but maybe.)

DOES ANYONE have ideas of places and settings they'd like to see in the roleplay ? These will be part of the world - maybe a mountain-island in the clouds where pirates rule ( like Tortuga ) , or something the equivalent of Port Royal ? The harbour of Her Majesty ? Etc . Real world , fictional , etc - I can convert equivalents C: Although if you know for sure that the magical island of buried treasure has to be called Isla de Muerta , just say so and I'll see what I can do c:

No worries , I've a tough hide c; also not rude , valid . Well , I think that's still being figured out , but I really hope so . I'm putting a lot of effort into the layout designs and formatting and I'll be angry and disappointed if it just turns into a fustercluck . ( Like , mad enough to never design for anyone except myself , unless I get paid a lot )
I'm guessing/hoping that you are leaning towards the serious ? c:

Hi, I'm working on something right now, but I'm trying to keep it very open-ended to allow for people to drop in and enjoy themselves while having an ultimate goal in mind. It is essentially a dash from point A to point B without being murdered or waylaid by pirates. I can add some more dramatic stakes if you'd like.
E: Send me your idea sometime and I'll see if I can't work it into things. I'll have to check it out later tonight though, I'm off for the day for now.
