Yoakim sigh loudly when the results were announce. Yeah, they were last. He didn't count the panda as an actual contestant. But still, what did Kade expected? He was the one to force him into cooking. He didn't know how to cook! The hairdresser should have known that! They had been together for what? A year? Maybe two? Yoakim never had botered to actually look at the date. He looked Kade up and down.. was he.. was he crying? Oh for God Sake... "Fine... but you better give me a damn good b*****b tonight" He said, staring at the man before leaving the town square, dragging him behind.

Haruka was shocked. Not about coming in second or tying or anything like that, but that the winner had won one thousand dollars. Imagine all of the clothes she could have bought with those clothes! And she missed out by only nine points! When she returned to her family, Nanami had placed her hands on her waist and was looking a little victorious. "Free groceries? Score," she said, holding back a grin. She didn't want to seem too happy in case Haruka was mad. Yuuto smiled at his niece. "You did a great job out there," he offered. "Even if she didn't win!" Nanami agreed. All of a sudden Haruka felt exhausted. "I'm going home," she said before turning away, her startled family following suit. -Exit-

( Year 2 Cooking Festival Begin ) An other year, an other beginning, an other Cooking Festival! Really, this was Gladice's favourite time of the year, even if she had to drink Sex Bullet's weird mix and Panda mush. However, all that didn't mater! It was the cooking festival! She had been champions of it for many years and was now the one organizing and judging it... with Gaston. Oh well, he made up for variety...or something. At least during the last year he had behave himself. Well, more than he had in the past years, that is. The last year had been really... interesting. The Masquerade, Yoakim Running away, the mysterious boys from last year actually being her grandson (no wonder his technique had been so familiar! It was hers!), Judith coming around. So many things, so many thing.
Everything was already in place. The giant table at the center, the various cooking stations all around, the judge panel, everything! They were only missing the 3rd judge, who didn't have to show up for a while, anyway. This year, it was a new resident called Raiden Niami that would be the guess judge. She wonder if he would be as nice and charming as Bela had been the previous year.
All that to say that she was siting behind the judge table, forms in front of her waiting for people to sign up.
----------------------------------------------
One of the firs person to be there, helping her grandmother to set things was Alanis. She had helped moving thigns around (or rather, yelling orders for people to do it) and had already signed herself and Lucas up for the contest. Yes, she would be cooking because that was what every lady were suppose to be doing! What kind of a housewives would she be if she didn't knew how to cook? She was so happy that her lovely Lucas, her one true love Unlike that traitorous vile b*****d Gino that could rot in hell as rats eat his toes and a crows peck his eyes and wolves ate his guts for he was a good for nothing cry baby rich p***k with a small p***s that would disappoint the next girl who would see it, had decided to pair up with her. Sure, he had said no at first, but she knew that he was only being shy and that was why she had to give him a little push to accept doing it by kidnapping Frank S. And putting him in a cage that would open over a pot of boiling water in 20hours if Lucas didn't came with her at the festival. These were modern times! Girls had to do their parts to make sure that love succeed!
---------------------------------------------
Her brother, Keith, was also there. Sure, his whole family knew who he really was by then, thanks to the new year eve event and a very uncomfortable journey to the clinic, but that didn't meant that he wanted to speak with them. Especially not Alanis. God, he hated that girl. She could die for all he cared. Same thing for his mother. At least, when she had found out where he was, she hadn't tried to kill him. No, she gave him a year to find the money he owed her or else he would be sent to Siberia in order to work in a shoe factory. He still wasn't sure how he would manage to do that, but that was why he was here, to win the money. Any little bit helped. That and.... well, he really enjoyed cooking ever since the last cooking festival. It was... fun. He got to cut things down with a knife! That was probably the real reason why he was there, instead of staying in bed like the doctor had said, but ******** him and his lizard tails.
--------------------------------------------------
At the suggestion of her Teddy Bear, Freja had came to the cooking festival. She wasn't really a good cook and wasn't planning on entering either. She just wanted to watch and, maybe, taste some very good food. That was always a plus, right?OOC: Please note that some rules have been changed and some others have been added. Make sure to read them. Raiden's bonus points as well as the current theme will be added later on, before the countest starts. You have until Friday if you want to register your character as a countestant. No one will be accepted after that.

Cooking festival, yet again! After what had happened last year, it was a miracle Haruka had let her mother drag her along again. Then again, she had almost WON last year. If she had placed in second place last year, then imagine what she could do after a year of practice? But Haruka didn't have a smile on her face just because she was feeling a little more confident. Part of the reason why she had shown up again was revenge. As the two of them walked into the square, Nanami gave her daughter an intense look. "Remember, Haruka. This year, you make all of those other contestants cry." Why was her mother only competitive when it came to the cooking festival? "Not me, us," Haruka corrected, much to her mother's confusion. "You're participating too." Nanami's jaw dropped and she stopped walking. What had she said? But before Nanami could ask her daughter what she was talking about, the sixteen year old took off towards the judges' table to register both her and her mother, with a smile. Alex had failed to be enthusiastic about anything up to this point. Festivals weren't really his thing. But this, the cooking festival! It was as if it was created just for him! On top of it all, his siblings were all at home. For the first time he was on his own~ He almost had a bounce in his step as he entered the square. Maybe this town wasn't so bad, afterall? He shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked up to the judges' table to register for the cooking contest.

x████████x MATTHEW COLLINS and GEMMA RHODESx████████x "So, explain to me again why we're here." Gemma had insisted on repeating, looking up at her younger cousin, who was several inches taller than her. Almost a whole foot entirely, if it were not for one measly inch! Gemma, unlike Carly, had no problem going out to places, but she was baffled at the idea of a Cooking festival. What kind of festival was that? She could just stay at home and watch Iron Chef for that kind of action, least she knew that the ones on TV were professionals!
"Aside from getting us both out and socializing, well, there is no reason." Matthew explained, looking down at Gemma, who was currently sporting an dubious look at him. He craned his head to see if there was anyone he knew. Sadly, the only person other than Nanami, was Keith. And though the two didn't exaclty not like each other as friends, they didn't try to actually make any bonds, either.
"You are anxious, why?" Gemma asked, putting an hand on his forearm to stop him. Which caught him by surprise, because, again, he usually came alone to these kinds of things and... she wasn't blonde-ish, nor did she have green eyes. Just two very dull brown colors, in comparison.
"I'm worried I might bump into a friend of... She who shall not be named."
"Oohh..." Gemma nodded, getting it. "Oh, well, don't worry about that. You look absolutely ancient when you crease your brow like that. So, I really recommend you not think too hard about it. Else you'll be forced to live with frown lines for the rest of your life." Gemma rambled, offering him a pat on his shoulders. Yup, that was her version of a pep talk.
"I feel so much better." Matthew muttered dryly, "Thanks." he continued, not even bothering to give her a shrug or anything. Standing somewhere a little off to the side of where the main event would be held, by now. Nothing wrong with hanging around for a bit, maybe Nanami would just ignore them. Yeah, that could work! Oh, Denial, how sweet your embrace can be!
"Your very much welcome." Gemma smiled, utterly ignorant as to how that wasn't an real grateful response. Her own, however, made Matthew look down at her and then laugh. "What's so funny?" x████████x The Ordinary and The Cuckoo x████████x

Jack stretched his arms out before putting them behind his head. He smiled at people he passed. "A cooking festival, never heard of one of these before" He said to himself out loud. He looked around and found an old lady sitting at a table, maybe he should enter. He thought about it for a minute before strolling over to the lady with a smile on his face "Hello ma'am" He said with a friendly smile "Is this where you sign up for the festival?"

Well, this sure seemed to be attracting a lot of people this year! Before Gaston or Raiden had arrived, she was already singing people up for the contest. She could understand Raiden but... where was Gaston? He couldn't be... Nah.... the Panda was long gone... wasn't he? Oh God... better not think about it. "Oh, Hello there Haruka. I hope you win this year!" Said the old woman to the previous year Runner Up. Well, she had arrived equaly with her grandson and his friend, but since she had kept a high average and he had went from very low to extremely high, the judges had made her the second position. Seems like this year she would be competing with her mother. Family time, that was so precious.
Next was a blue haired boy. She felt like she had seemed him in the past, but couldn't quite remember where and why. Oh well, she was getting old, she had the rights to forget things.... Like Gaston's nude statues. Those were completely blocked out of her mind. "Single or in Couple, mister... Park?" She asked him after reading his sheet.
"Oh, yes. It is here." She said to a young man before passing him some forms to fill up. This one, unlike the Park boy, she had never seen before.

Jack nodded his head to the elderly lady before taking the forms. He quickly filled out all the forms and handed them back to Gladice. Jack wasn't the best cook but with him in a contest, it could help him meet people and maybe with people knowing him, it could help his business. Plus this could help him learn some extra cooking tricks from the other competitors.

The old woman took the forms back from Jake and placed them with the rest. That was going well, that was going well.... Now she just hoped that Gaston wouldn't.... Oh please God... that was all she could think of right now.. "So, mister Park? Alone or in couple?" Repeated the old woman, now that she had finished with Jake, and trying to not think anything Panda-related.
-------------------------------------------------
Keith raised his eyes from the table where he was sitting. He still felt a little dizzy when he was standing up for too long, so he preferred sit while he still could. The first person he noticed among the slowly growing crowd was Matthew and a girl he had never seen before. Great. Just, great. Like if he needed to see someone from the club today of all day. He didn't feel like talking to any of them, especially not after new year. And now they would know he was cooking and everything? Sucks to be him. Urg, where was Conor...

Haruka thanked Gladice before returning to her mother. The thirty year old woman stared at her daughter in disbelief. "...That was mean," she said softly and quickly. Haruka smiled back. "Sucks, doesn't it? Maybe we should stop signing people up for things, hmm?" she replied with a satisfied expression. "....So mean."Nanami took a break from her childish pouting to look around as more people showed up. She recognized Matt a distance away... but not the brunette who was accompanying him. That was not Carly! For a moment her heart began to race, but then she remembered that Matt was not the kind of man to cheat, let alone cheat in a very public place. It made her feel better, but she was still greatly confused... Alex had zoned out for a bit, so when Gladice addressed him once more, he replied with a small bit of surprise. "Ah, sorry. I'm by myself," he replied hesitantly.

x████████x MATTHEW COLLINS and GEMMA RHODESx████████x "I still don't understand, but you seem mightily amused now." Gemma nodded, glad that Matthew was laughing after the gloomy state he's been since she got here. Someone, with orange hair, was looking at them, but then seemed to look away. This would seem normal to anybody else, but not to Gemma. Just by looking at the woman from afar, she could tell that something that she had saw she didn't like.
Matthew, having subsided his laughter, followed Gemma's gaze; which was tacked right on Nanami. s**t! He leaned down to whisper, "That's her." he said simply, not giving anymore explanation. Matthew just really didn't want to talk about it. But before he knew it, Gemma had walked off toward Nanami, alone. Gemma! Matthew's thoughts started to jumble as to how stop Gemma without making a scene, but surely knowing that Nanami had already seen them. Wouldn't that look shady and suspicious? Biting the bullet, he followed Gemma toward Nanami.
"Excuse me," Gemma started, trying to at least be polite. "But could you explain to me how you were the one who--?!" Gemma started, about to give this b***h more than just a piece of her damn mind. And she would've, too, had she not been interrupted by Matthew's hand on her shoulder. Which seemed to give a rather hard squeeze, was that some kind of... reaction this woman had on him? That she made him tense up like that?
"Ah, Nanami! How nice to see you. I see you've met Gemma, my cousin." Matthew smiled at Nanami, motioning toward Gemma. Confusion and betrayal playing across his cousin's face, which kind of surprised him. What had she been doing?
"Isn't this her, the one you were telling me about?" Gemma asked, confused. "You know," she leaned up to whisper, "She who shall not be named." she said, trying to keep her voice low and failing entirely. Well, this was a fine mess Gemma had gotten him into. Apparently, she thought Nanami was Carly! Well, he hadn't really specified, so it is, in part, his fault. And the fact that there wasn't anymore pictures of Carly lying around the house.
Matthew's cheeks reddened in embarrassment and humiliation, because of Gemma's big mouth! "No, Gemma. I meant that this was the friend, of... that person." Matthew clarified, though this would surely make Nanami even more confused! "I'm sorry, Nanami, she confused you for someone else." Matthew scratched the back of his head nervously, letting out a small chuckle. Oh, god, how he wished that the earth could open up and just swallow him.
And what neither of them registered, was Nanami's daughter standing right there. x████████x The Ordinary and The Cuckoo x████████x

Woo. Festival. Ever since she had received that horrible rude note and coal from that mean old fairy, Fleurette tried to get out more often and do stuff so next year she would get an awesome present. Like... a cake or something! That'd be nice. She spied on people from a safe distance who had gotten cakes from the fairies. She bet they didn't go out more than her! Well, she wouldn't know because all she did was watch TV series all day long and laze off. Unless of course she needed to go to the salon, which was rare now.
Anyways, Fleurette wasn't the best cook. Truthfully, she was probably on more the bad side. Because last time she tried cooking her pan melted. She didn't even know that was possible! Of course, she had experience cooking and even considered being a culinary major, but decided against it after that traumatic experience. She cooked scrambled eggs and pizza, all that easy stuff that took no time. Even following a recipe, she doubted that she would even be able to get the oven temperature right.

Cooking Festival ❤ ❤ ❤(Mystery Girl X) (Frederick K. Murrow) (Maxwell McKnight)Mystery Girl X was here once ore to enter the competition, she approached Gladice first off. The young girl held a sign to her, saying she would like to enter alone. This was another year for her to cook in public.. and another year for her to try to win again! Muahaha! _____
Frederick once more hid in the trees, watching everyone through a telescope. He hoped Celeste showed up, so that he could ask her to cook with him! As a couple. Much easier than trying to kidnap her like Alanis suggested. _____
A festival in town is usually not a good thing, this one of the few exceptions. The town is decorated nicely, as one would expect a tyrant to force his peasants to do for him, and already filled with the odd creatures that populate this island. One that caught his eye today was an oddly haired magical girl. She seemed to want to enter the competition.. or to have already done so. Being a knight, I do not normally partake in magic, so having a magician in my party would greatly help my ability to complete quests.
Maxwell approached Fleurette, looking to her. I speak, trying to sound as respectful as possible, her magic hair was beautifull, glowing in the mana she possesses. Truly magicians were fearful despite their rather soft and adorable appearance. Their spells could easily level the city, and as far as I know,s he is the only magician here. "Hello Ms, can I join you in this competition if you wish to enter it? I do need a partner who is capable of reaching the higher items." Cooking was just like Alchemy, and Alchemy wasn't a difficult skill. It was all in knowing what compliments each other and for how long to allow it to do so before the end result is completed.

Jack smiled "Thank you Ma'am" He said and nodded his head. He turned around, still smiling, and started to look around. Maybe he should start mingling with the others in town. Jack could see a telescope poking out of the leaves from a tree and walked over to it. He looked up at a man, Fredrick, wondering why he was up there. "Hey dude, you looking for someone?" He asked casually as he looked up at him.

Cooking Festival ❤ ❤ ❤(Mystery Girl X) (Frederick K. Murrow) (Maxwell McKnight) Note to self, buy a telescope with a smaller scope. Frederick thought, this being the second time someone's spotted him in his near-perfect tree hiding spots! First Usagi, and now this guy?! "I'm not a dude. I'm a tree." Frederick responded to him casually. He moved his telescope from searching for Celeste, to pointing at Jack.. which was rather silly since it was now right in front of the man's face. This old bit? Of course he was going to do this old bit! This man didn't look like he would be bright enough to believe that he's not a talking tree - which so totally exist. He may be able to throw his voice, but considering he would have to also make a fake mouth a bit on the bark it's pretty obvious it wasn't an Ent.. but hopefully this guy doesn't notice! "Just a normal, run of the mill talking tree. Nothing suspicious about me."
