There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Maids hovered over Jethrow's body, trying to stop the bleeding. They could tell the blade had been covered in some kind of magic poison to keep the wound from sealing. One of them tapped Luke on the shoulder. "We need a healer for him," they said, gesturing to the dying wizard.

Luke looked to the maid. "Where am I supposed to go? Do we have a healer here?" Luke then remembered something. "Wait a minute. Anya. You have healing powers. You need to heal Jethrow or he will die."
"Are you mad?! She'll just try to kill him again!"

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. "I'm right here," Anya muttered indignantly at Lunora's outburst. She tilted her head at the wolf demon, glanced over at the wizard, and internally cringed. He really did look bad. And I really did do that to him, she thought. A gasping, rattle-like sound began in the back of Jethrow's throat and Anya reacted on instinct. She pulled her head down to Lunora's arm and bit the fox demon to get released, before running over to the wizard and putting her hand over his mouth. The edges glowed a sickly blue, unlike her healing, as his soul fought to escape. Quickly, she started healing his wound, narrowing her eyes at the struggling soul. "Don't even think about it," she growled angrily, fighting against the soul.

"OOWWW!!! She bit me!! That little brat bit me!!" Lunora snarled, gripping her bite wound, furious.
Luke held his sister back as she threw her tantrum, he just sighed.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Even as the wound that Anya had inflicted started to heal, Jethrow's soul continued to try and release itself. The force behind it was strong, as though he'd been waiting for years to die, and Anya had to use her weight to keep her hand in place. The effort was too much; it really did seem like the wizard was trying to die. "Stop it," she muttered angrily as tears began to form. "You weren't supposed to die; you were supposed to have the pendant with you," she continued to mutter. She'd already checked, but the amulet she'd once made for him wasn't around his neck. She had no idea what had become of it. She could always see it. He'd been wearing it every day since she'd given it to him, and she'd assumed he'd wear it that battle. Why wouldn't he? It was made of healing powers, built to heal him automatically even if he was an inch from death. If I'd known you weren't wearing it I would never have.... Anya cut off her own thoughts, concentrating on healing the wizard's body. She didn't seem to notice, however, that his old and gnarled hands were slowly looking new... [OOC:]Several spoilers! wink

[OOC:]When can we get Demi to their world?
Luke distracted his sister from her revenge and concentrated on her bite wound and other various bruises. He didn't like her hurt, but she never seemed to care. Bit back in Demitri's world, he had seen her do something she hadn't done in decades. She had cried.
Lunora calmed herself as her brother took care of her wounds. She began to think about her past as he healed her. 'I'm sorry... mother.'

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. With Jethrow's wound entirely healed, there was nothing left for Anya to do except try and hold the soul of the wizard inside his body. The fighting had increased heavily, and healing the body had weakened the fairy-demon. Little wisps of the sickly colored smoke-like substance began to escape through the cracks between her fingers. The smoke, rather than disappearing the way Anya knew it should, began to form into an orb above all of their heads, and one of the maids screamed. In surprise, Anya released her hands, and the smoke completely left Jethrow's body, enlarging the orb. The thing hovering began to form a shape that looked oddly like a face. [OOC:]Soon....Soon....

The sibling demons watched the smoke form into a face, both of them astonished at this magic. They readied in case this was a threat. They didn't want to fight, but if they must, they would.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya looked between the unconscious form of Jethrow and the smoky face in astonishment. The wizard's old, wrinkled face floated in the cloud above their heads, while a seemingly new person was breathing shallowly on the wooden floor of the study.
There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing.

The smoky Jehtrow smiled at the siblings as they prepared themselves. "Come now, we have no need for that," he said in a voice that was much younger than the last time he'd spoken to them. "After all, I don't believe my concept of time was altered so much that I'm wrong in assuming we've only just arrived back at the castle."

Luke nodded some, relaxing his guard. "You would be correct Jethrow. We are back." the wolf said, him and his sister still bearing the markings and tails of their other forms.
Lunora was very quietly and subtly talking to a maid that had come to attend them. She had to know a few things about what she had missed and something that concerned her.

"I will have my revenge." Angrily, Demetri paced over the ruins. Of course, that stupid wolf-demon had captured Anya. It would only be a matter of time before Jethrow whipped up some antidote to her condition and she was back to being his little faerie servant. "Damnit," he growled, hitting his fist against a stone wall in fury, glaring at the bricks. "I underestimated them." And indeed he had. The demonic siblings had turned out to be too much for him and Fester. He still couldn't get the burning look in that fox's eyes out of his mind. This could put my plans months, years in reverse. I never counted on him to have such powerful minions. Powerful and with no obvious weaknesses, not even towards each other. The wizard pushed himself from the wall again and began pacing. There were many things racing through his mind when he froze. "They've broken her curse," he muttered, "they must have. Why else would she go so far as to heal him that much?" However, as he examined the situation he could see in his own mind, he realized that Anya was still under his influence if he could still see into her mind. Perhaps they threatened her life in return for her healing powers. I can't imagine how powerful they must be, though, to take the healing process so far. It was then that the wizard realized he'd underestimated all three of the demons he'd had in his realm that night. If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya again looked between her previous teacher's body and his smoky form. Leaning forward, she tilted her head, inspecting the body. He bears the signs of being cursed. Most likely by Demetri. Two thoughts ran through her mind at the realization of this curse: one being that somehow, she'd managed to lift in on sheer accident. The second one being that she needed to get away from this castle and back to Demetri. Still seated on the floor, the faerie-demon tried to push herself up to her feet, and succeeded, only to suddenly feel dizzy and light-headed. It must have been a powerful curse if I healed him enough to weaken myself, she thought as the blood rushing to her head caused a headache. She was able to stand still and keep her balance, but there would be no amazing escapes for her at the moment. I'll have to wait for when Luke and Lunora are asleep to break out, she thought to herself, eying each sibling respectively from the corner of her eye. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow smiled as Luke relaxed. "There we go, take a load off. You've had a successful night! Anya is safely here, however much of a weakened or angry state she may be in," he nodded at his former student where she stood, trying to hold her balance. "I must say, now that Demetri's previous castings are being unwoven, things seem a lot brighter to these eyes." The smoky image of the wizard looked down to where his body was starting to mimic his shimmering ghost. The baggy robes the wizard had been wearing began to shrink as the body filled out more from the frail old-man's body it had been previously. "I'm starting to look more my age," he joked to the three. The wizard once again looked down at his body as it changed. What shook you so strongly, brother, to release this spell? Was it perhaps the intensity of Anya's healing powers? Or the intensity of someone else, he thought, briefly glancing over Luke and Lunora. [OOC:]FINALLY! My wrist is healed, my time is free, and I was able to write a real reply! *kirby dance*

"So what do we do now Jethrow?" Luke asked, going to Anya and helping her keep her balance, no matter what she said. Although he found himself being pulled aside for a moment.
Lunora had pulled her brother aside for a moment, both of them whispering to each other. Luke gripped Lunora's arm that held his, whispering something to her, only to have her turn away and release his arm. And after, leave the room.
Luke sighed. "I'm sorry about that."

"I will have my revenge." As Demetri continued to pace, he realized briefly that it was possible he himself would have to retrieve his new apprentice. She's far too weak and cornered to make it to this realm on her own. I'll have to look for a tear in the prison; hopefully those violent demons left one. Stairs formed from the block he stood on to the one that Jethrow's prison still stood, untouched. This was where the most power had been concentrated, and where all traveling had taken place. "There has to be something here," he muttered to himself as he swiped at the thorny cage, causing it to turn to smoke and blow away in a nonexistent wind. There were blood splatters on the ground from where Anya had done as he commanded, attempting to kill Jethrow. "She missed his heart on purpose," he stated, shaking his head angrily. She'd had a moment of weakness and "loyalty" towards the older wizard, using cunning to go through with her orders and still spare the man's life. "So troublesome," he said to himself as he knelt down by a glowing rip in the side of the block. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow tilted his smoky head at Luke after Lunora left. "No need to apologize; I hope your sister is alright," he said. "As for what to do now, as soon as my body is ready for me to return, we can immediately begin preparations for an antidote for Anya," he said, giving a knowing look to the faerie-demon. "I've seen Demetri's mind spells before and I know just how to stop it. Of course, there will be problems, namely Anya's resistance, to put up with. I hope to have yours and, if possible, your sister's help in this. Meanwhile, I think we can safely leave her here. There are some visitors on their ways here. I sense they aren't a threat; in fact, one is a former student of mine. I think it'd be best to go ahead and bring them forward for the time being, don't you?"

Luke nodded some and sighed. "I will help to my best abilities, but my sister will need some time. Certainly not today." he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck softly. He worried for his little sister, hoping she would be alright. He then nodded about the new arrivals. "Should I go get them?"

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow nodded understandingly. "Whatever may be going on, I know she is strong enough to over come it," he said reassuringly. "Yes, please do go and get them. Hopefully by the time you return, I will be in a state to speak with them. If we're in luck, they may even be able to help with Anya's antidote." He looked over at the girl again, who had managed to make her way into a chair and was on her way to falling fast asleep. "I appreciate the effort you went to to get her home. I'm sure once she's been revived to her former self, she'll also thank you and your sister for you efforts.
