Even after obtaining the stones for the quest, the statue's look never chnages from its unfinished state. So I shall say "no". ninja

Well ladies and gentlemen, once you return to the Shumi Villiage with the moomba doll and get the artisan to help, the statue DOES gets completed (even though the graphic of it in the game stays the same). Let's move onto a more clear cut question.
